Introduction: Relapse in methamphetamine dependency is one of the most difficult parts to treat. Therefore treatment of craving for usage is one of the essential sections of treatment in methamphetamine dependency (addiction). This study evaluates the effect of neurofeedback therapy on craving for use. Methods: In this study 20 male patient with methamphetamine dependency who diagnosed on the basis of DSM-V were selected. None of the patients had any psychiatric and neurologic disorder except addiction of methamphetamine. Patients were divided into 2 groups of 10. The first group has taken real neurofeedback therapy sessions while the second has undergone non-real neurofeedback (sham) therapy. Then the two groups have been compared with t-test. Result: The result shows that in the first group (real neurofeedback), craving for methamphetamine use has been decreased significantly whereas in the second group (non-real or sham), the decrease was not significant. Conclusion: Neurofeedback therapy is effective in treatment of craving for methamphetamine use.

Introduction: Schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder are very common disorders in hospitalized patients. Considering that family problems are one of the factors in the appearance and persistence of schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder, in this study, we decided to investigate and compare the family functioning between these two groups of patients. Methods: The sample consisted of 50 patients with schizophrenia and 50 patients with bipolar I disorder. The third group was the control group which consisted of 50 normal different professions such as teachers, workers, housekeepers and others. Then the Family Functioning Scale (FAD-I) was used and the final results of the three groups were compared by SPSS V21 software. Results: In the schizophrenia group, 88.9% percent of patients had family functioning scores less than 109.81 which showed that they had severe family dysfunction but in the bipolar I disorder group, 11.1% and all participants in the control group, had scores higher than ***: Family dysfunction was seen in schizophrenic patients rather than in the other two groups.

Social skills include the ability to establish interpersonal relationships with others in a way that is acceptable in terms of norms of society and it should be beneficial to society and have mutual interest. Method: Sample was taken from especial elementary school for educable intellectual disability children in Mashhad, Iran. The sample was boys between 9 - 11 years. After the initial selection of students, they were randomly assigned to two groups of twenty (experimental and control groups). 7 sessions of music therapy were performed for each one in the experimental group whereas no sessions were applied for anyone in the control group. Winelend Social Growth Scale was used to measure their social skill before and after intervention. Result: The mean difference in social skill between the two groups were statistically less than the 0.01 which is highly significant (P-value = 0.0005). This shows that art and music therapy are effective on the growth of social skills in educable intellectual disability children. Conclusion: This research shows that music therapy is effective for improvement of social skills in educable intellectual disability children.

Objective: Aggression is one of the common social disorders in adolescence. Blindness is a disability, which can lead to immature and inappropriate behaviors in children, and increase aggression in teenagers. The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of music on aggressive behavior in visually impaired students. Methods: This research was an experimental pretest-posttest study with a control group and was conducted in 2012. The study population of this research was teenagers with visual impairments in Bojnord, northeast of Iran. For this purpose, Buss and Perry aggression questionnaire and Rutter behavior questionnaire for teachers were used. Twelve music therapy sessions were held, each lasting 90 minutes. T-tests and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) were used for data analysis. Results: There were not significant differences between the two groups regarding age, socioeconomic status, and education level of parents, as ascertained prior to the pretest. In the intervention group, the declines of aggression scores were statistically significant. There were significant differences between the results of posttest in the intervention and control groups. Conclusion: Music therapy reduces aggression in teens with blindness and can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention to reduce emotional states in this group.

Introduction:?Enuresis is one of the most common psychiatric disorders in children. Classical?treatments for primary enuretic children are conditioning (Bell and Pad method, and drug therapy). Neurofeedback is a kind of conditioning by changing amplitudes of brain waves. Method: Three?groups of 10 enuretic children were selected randomly. All three groups took imipramine. The?first group also took neurofeedback sessions with protocol of enhancement of?β/θ?wave ratio in occipital zone. The second group took non-real neurofeedback sessions beside the drug. The third?group just took the drug. Result:?All three groups showed significant remission (P < 0.0001) after treatment and a three-month follow-up. Conclusion:?Neurofeedback by this protocol was not any more efficient than imipramine therapy by itself.

Interwell connectivity is an essential parameter for managing waterflooding operations in a *** of the tracer injection operation is a well-known approach to studying injected fluids distribution in a reservoir and toward producer *** in the early 2000s,capacitance-resistance model(CRM)is an analytical approach for waterflooding modeling and ***/injection data are used as input to model the mass balance and estimate parameters such as the interwell *** this work,we investigated the accuracy of applying the capacitance-resistance model to mimic a tracer *** an approach helps assess the connection between the wells and decide on further field development steps cheaper and *** values estimated by tracer tests and CRM were analyzed and compared for synthetic and real *** was capable of modeling waterflooding and estimating production in both fields with acceptable *** such as well spacing and fluid loss during the injection were considered to improve the accuracy of the CRM approach to calculate the interwell connectivity between injector/producer *** study showed that CRM could serve as a tool for a quick approximate estimation of interwell connectivity under certain assumptions and is recommended as a replacement for tracer flooding analysis,where the tracer test is not possible or is expensive.

In this study,a new feature is added to the smart message passing interface(SMPI)approach(SMPIA)based on the prioritization method,which cancompletely eliminate the task starvation and lack of sufficient resources problemsthrough prioritizing the *** proposed approach is based on prioritizing thetasks and the urgency of *** are prioritized based on executiontime,workload,the task with a more sensitive priority is executed earlier by thefree *** idea of demand-bound functions(DBFs)was extended to theSMPIA setting based on partitions and *** each task,two DBFs are constructed,DBFLO and DBFHI,for the LO and HI criticality modes,*** simulation results returned by MATLAB showed that with the optimizedSMPIA(O-SMPIA),the parameters of maximum service execution time,response time,delay time,and throughput improved in this *** addition,the results confirmed that the reduction of execution time,completion time,andresource consumption time did not affect the response time and throughput ofworkflow tasks and did not cause inefficient use of resources in virtual machines(VMs)and data centers(DCs).The evaluation of performance metrics showedthat the delay,response time of the Greedy algorithm was less than that ofMax-Min and *** the same time,the execution time of Max-Min wasless than the others and the throughput of the Greedy was *** effectand throughput of O-SMPIA became more obvious as change to the job countand the number of cloud workloads *** is also worth mentioning thatone of the main advantages of the O-SMPIA to other methods is the efficientuse of time to execute all the defined tasks by CPU.

The capacitance-resistance model(CRM)has been widely implemented to model and optimise water-flooding and enhanced oil recovery(EOR)***,there is a gap in the application of CRM to analyse physical phenomena in porous media as well as the performance of EOR methods,such as low-salinity water(LSW)*** main purposes of this study were to investigate how changes in time constant,as a CRM parameter,can represent physical phenomena in porous media such as wettability ***,to show CRM is a reliable tool to use for interpretation of LSW process as an EOR *** results of different experimental/modelling studies in this research showed that in CRM model time constant increases when the wettability alters to a water wetness state,whereby the smallest time constant value is observed for the oil wet medium and the highest is observed for the water wet *** cases with a gradual alteration in wettability show an increasing trend with the dilution of the injection *** core flooding data confirms the observed results of the simulation *** increment in time constant values indicates the resistance against displacing fluid,which is due to the wettability alteration of the porous medium,resulting in additional oil *** observations made during this research illustrate that the time constant parameter can be a powerful tool for comparing different EOR techniques,since it is a good indication of the speed of impact of a particular injection fluid on production.

Application of anionic surfactant\engineered water hybrid EOR in carbonate formations:An experimental analysis

A hybrid enhanced oil recovery(EOR)method by combining low salinity water(LSW)and low salinity surfactant(LSS)flooding techniques was *** experiments were done to screen the Caspian seawater(SW)with altered ionic composition and surfactant,for the optimized performance in Kazakhstani carbonate oil *** to a more water-wet state and creating the middle phase were studied as the main criteria to select the best-engineered brine and anionic *** largest alteration towards the water-wet condition was recorded at 10 times dilution of the SW with 3-and 6-times spiked calcium and sulfate ions,respectively(10xSW-6SO4,Mg,3Ca).This combination of anionic surfactants with carbonate formations is considered as a new approach in hybrid EOR *** the anionic surfactants screened,Soloterra-113H(alkyl benzenesulfonic acid)showed the best solubilization ratio,aqueous stability and Winsor type 3 *** wettability alteration by the combination of optimized brine and screened surfactant was greater compared to the standalone LSW,which was confirmed by the 10difference in contact angle *** microemulsion phase constituted nearly 40%of the total height of the oil/brine column by the hybrid *** recovery factor after injecting formation water was 52%,and it increased to 61%after optimized LSW *** switching to the engineered brine/surfactant,the recovery factor reached 70%,which proves the effectiveness of the hybrid *** proposed combined method works better than either standalone EOR method due to the higher alteration in capillary number by changing wettability and reducing IFT,which leads to higher oil recovery.
