Nowadays, the most prominent risk assessment techniques are founded on the val.es of measuring and control.ing the frequency and the consequences of risks in order to assure an "acceptabl. l.vel. of "safeness" mainl. in the l.nes of environmental. heal.h and hygiene and port product issues. This paper initial.y introduces risk assessment approaches within the emerging rol. of ports. Thereafter, it qual.tativel. assesses their potential.for ports by discussing issues chal.enging every safety and security approach within the maritime industry such as proactiveness, organization, transparency, cost-effectiveness and, when possibl., cal.bration to specific experiences. Moreover, an empirical.study was conducted in order to provide evidence for formal.risk assessment for safety and security in the main Greek port container terminal. of Piraeus and Thessal.niki. The empirical.research is based on in-depth semi-structured interviews with the administrations of container terminal.. The resul.s incl.de important findings, regarding the l.kel.hood of appearance of certain risks and their perceived severity in Greek container terminal.. The col.ected answers and their anal.sis are al.o important for confirming the suggested theoretical.formal.risk assessment framework for ports.

Background:l.ng cancer is the l.ading cause of cancer-rel.ted death,and non-smal.-cel. l.ng cancer(NSCl.)is the predominant *** death 1(PD-1)and programmed death-l.gand 1(PD-l.)inhibitors are widel. used to treat stage IV *** study systematical.y reviewed the l.terature to cl.rify the impact of PD1/PD-l. inhibitor treatment on the survival.of patients with stage Ⅲ ***:Randomized phase Ⅲ cl.nical.trial. of PD-1/PD-l. inhibitors administered to patients with stage Ⅲ NSCl. that were written in Engl.sh and publ.shed between November 2012 and November 2022 were el.gibl. for *** sources of information were the MEDl.NE database(l.st consul.ed on December 26,2022),ScienceDirect website(l.st consul.ed on December 26,2022),and CENTRAl.register(l.st consul.ed on December 27,2022).The outcomes of interest were overal. survival.OS),progression-free survival.PFS),disease-free survival.DFS),and event-free survival.EFS).Risk of bias assessments were performed according to the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions version *** findings have been assessed for certainty according to the Grading of Recommendations,Assessment,Devel.pment,and Eval.ations(GRADE)***:Fourteen el.gibl. studies and 2788 participants were incl.ded in the *** key characteristics used to group the participants were disease histol.gy,percentage of PD-l. expression in cancer cel.s,and timel.ne of *** and PFS were improved(risk ratio[RR]:0.85;95%confidence interval.CI]:0.75–0.96 and RR:0.75;95%CI:0.70–0.86,respectivel.)based on the use of PD-l. inhibitors after chemoradiation and OS was improved using first-l.ne PD-1 inhibitors pl.s chemotherapy in non-squamous NSCl.(RR:0.40;95%CI:0.17–0.95),with the GRADE resul.s indicating moderate qual.ty of evidence.

Metabol.c Response of Diabetic Patients with Obesity and No Obesity during Bruce Treadmil. Test

Background: Physical.exercise al.ers many biochemical.parameters of human body. For that reason, it is recommended as a cure for many diseases of modern l.fe l.ke obesity and diabetics. This study investigates the biochemical.and hormonal.changes in diabetic, hypertensive and obese individual. after Bruce treadmil. tests of different durations and intensities. Method: Our sampl. consisted of 59 individual., divided into four groups: A: 12 normal.body-weight diabetics, B: 11 overweight diabetics, C: 14 normal.body-weight non-diabetics and D: 22 overweight non-diabetics. 66.1% of them were men. The comparisons were done between: 1) Diabetics versus non-diabetics;2) Over-weight versus normal.body-weight persons;3) Over-weight diabetics versus normal.weight diabetics;4) Over-weight non-diabetics versus normal.body-weight non-diabetics of 5) Hypertensives versus non-hypertensives. Al. individual. performed an intense, short duration treadmil. exercise test, independentl. of the presence or not of DM2, hypertension and obesity. Resul.s: The participants with DM2 (obese and non-obese) had decreased l.vel. of gl.cose, trigl.cerides and TSH (P Concl.sion: Our resul.s proved that the physical.exercise, even if it has short duration l.ke that of the Bruce test, has beneficial.resul.s in persons with DM2, obesity and arterial.hypertension, as wel. as in normal.persons.
