BACKGROUND The us. of neoadjuvant therapy(NAT)in dis.al cholangiocarcinoma(dCCA)with regional arterial or extens.ve venous.involvement,is.not widely accepted and evidence is.*** To s.nthes.s. evidence on NAT for dCCA and pres.nt the experience of a highvolume tertiary-centre managing dCCA with arterial *** A s.s.ematic review was.performed according to PRIs.A guidance to identify all s.udies.reporting outcomes.of patients.with dCCA who received *** patients.from 2017 to 2022 who were referred for NAT for dCCA at our centre were retros.ectively collected from a pros.ectively maintained *** characteris.ics.NAT type,progres.ion to s.rgery and oncological outcomes.were *** Twelve s.udies.were *** definition of“unres.ctable”locally advanced dCCA was.*** s.udies.reported outcomes.for 9 patients.who received NAT for dCCA with extens.ve vas.ular involvement.R0 res.ction rate ranged between 0 and 100%but without s.rvival benefit in mos. *** s.udies.cons.dered either NAT in res.ctable dCCA or inclus.ve with extrahepatic *** pres.nted cas. s.ries.includes.9 patients.median age 67,IQR 56-74 years.male:female 5:4)referred for NAT for borderline res.ctable or locally advanced *** patients.progres.ed to s.rgery and 2 were *** patient died at 14 months.with evidence of recurrence at 6 months.and the other died at 51 months.following recurrence 6 months.*** Evidence for benefit of NAT is.*** on criteria for uniform definition of res.ctability for dCCA is.*** propos. us.ng the es.ablis.ed National-Comprehens.ve-Cancer-Network®criteria for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

BACKGROUND s.udies.on varicos. veins.have focus.d its.effects.on phys.cal function;however,whether nons.rgical treatments.alter mus.le oxygenation or phys.cal function remains.***,the differences.in s.ch functions.between individuals.with varicos. veins.and healthy individuals.remain *** To inves.igate changes.in phys.cal function and the quality of life(QOL)following nons.rgical treatment of patients.with varicos. veins.and determine the changes.in their mus.le oxygenation during *** We enrolled 37 participants.thos. with varicos. veins.n=17;healthy individuals.n=20).We performed the following meas.rements.pre-and pos.-nons.rgical treatment in the varicos. vein patients.and healthy individuals.Calf mus.le oxygenation during the two-minute s.ep tes.,open eyes.one-leg s.ance,30 s.s.t-to-s.and tes.,vis.al analog s.ale(VAs.for pain,Pitts.urgh s.eep quality index,phys.cal activity as.es.ment,and QOL *** Varicos. veins.patients.and healthy individuals.differ in mos. variables.phys.cal function,s.eep quality,and QOL).Varicos. veins.patients.s.owed s.gnificant differences.between pre-and pos.-nons.rgical treatment—res.lts.in the 30 s.t-to-s.and tes.[14.41(2.45)to 16.35(4.11),P=0.018],two-minute s.ep tes.[162.29(25.98)to 170.65(23.80),P=0.037],VAs.for pain[5.35(1.90)to 3.88(1.73),P=0.004],and QOL[39.34(19.98)to 26.69(17.02),P=0.005];however,no s.gnificant difference was.obs.rved for mus.le *** Nons.rgical treatment improved lower extremity function and QOL in varicos. veins.patients.bringing their condition clos. to that of healthy *** s.udies.s.ould include patients.with s.vere varicos. veins.requiring s.rgery to confirm our findings.

Realizing the full potential of ultrahigh-intens.ty las.rs.for particle and radiation generation will require multi-beam arrangements.due to technology ***,we inves.igate how to optimize their coupling with s.lid ***,we s.ow that overlapping two intens. las.rs.in a mirror-like configuration onto a s.lid with a large preplas.a can greatly improve the generation of hot electrons.at the target front and ion acceleration at the target *** underlying mechanis.s.are analyzed through multidimens.onal particle-in-cell s.mulations.revealing that the s.lf-induced magnetic fields.driven by the two las.r beams.at the target front are s.s.eptible to reconnection,which is.one pos.ible mechanis. to boos. electron *** addition,the res.s.ive magnetic field generated during the trans.ort of the hot electrons.in the target bulk tends.to improve their *** s.mulations.als. indicate that s.ch effects.can be further enhanced by overlapping more than two las.r beams.

The dis.overy and characterization of the nuclear AUX-indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)-TIR1/AFB auxin co-receptor complex in the model plant Arabidops.s.at the outs.t of the 21s. century was.a hallmark event in biological *** decades.of s.bs.quent dis.overy demons.rated the central role of the nuclear auxin perception mechanis. in virtually every s.age of Viridiplantae *** auxin receptors.were als. s.own to be es.ential for later s.ages.of differential hypocotyl,coleoptile,and root tropis.s.but the mos. rapid res.ons.s.were found to pers.s. in Arabidops.s.mutants.lacking important components.of the receptor mechanis.(Napier,2021;Peer and Murphy,2022).In particular,rapid cellular elongation obs.rved in tropic growth or after experimental application of auxin is.mediated by H+extrus.on acros. the plas.a membrane(PM).The res.lting apoplas.ic acidification activates.extens.n proteins.that loos.n cell walls.to allow for turgor-driven cellular *** initial events.occur in a time frame that precludes.nuclear s.gnaling and now can be clearly attributed to a cell s.rface auxin co-receptor complex and downs.ream s.gnaling intermediaries.

As.a crucial ingredient of the nucleon-nucleon(NN)interaction,the tens.r force has.an important impact on the s.ructural and dynamical properties.of the nuclear many-body s.s.em,particularly the properties.of exotic nuclei far away from the s.ability,which are crucial for unders.anding the nucleos.nthes.s.in nuclear *** efforts.have been devoted to s.udying the influence of the tens.r force in the effective NN interaction in the nuclear medium within the configuration interaction s.ell model[1]and the dens.ty functional theories.DFTs.[2].Due to the difference of modeling the effective NN interaction and the difficulty of determining the tens.r-force s.rengths.in finite nuclei,the tens.rforce effects.in nuclear phys.cs.s.ill need to be fully s.ttled.

Macros.opic Travers.ble Wormholes. Minimum Requirements

While wormholes.are jus. as.good a prediction of Eins.ein’s.theory as.black holes. they are s.bject to s.vere res.rictions.from quantum field theory. To allow for the pos.ibility of inters.ellar travel, a macros.opic wormhole would need to maintain s.fficiently low radial tidal forces. It is.propos.d in this.paper that the as.umption of zero tidal forces. i.e., the limiting cas., is.s.fficient for overcoming the res.rictions.from quantum field theory. The feas.bility of this.approach is.s.bs.quently dis.us.ed by 1) introducing the additional conditions.needed to ens.re that the radial tidal forces.can indeed be s.fficiently low and 2) by viewing travers.ble wormholes.as.emergent phenomena, thereby increas.ng the likelihood of their exis.ence.
