Standardized ileal digestibility coefficients(SIDC)of nitrogen(N)and amino acids(AA)in two protein sources(soybean meal[SBM]and canola meal[CM])were investigated at six broiler ages(d 7,14,21,28,35,and 42).Two assay diets were formulated to contain either SBM(413 g/k.)or CM(553 g/k.)as the sole dietary AA *** dioxide(5 g/k.)was added as an indigestible mark.r.A total of 696 male broilers at 1 d old were allotted to 12 replicate cages per age *** assay diet was offered to birds for 4 d prior to the ileal digesta collection on d 7(14 birds/cage),14(12 birds/cage),21(10 birds/cage),28(8 birds/cage),35(8 birds/cage)and 42(6 birds/cage),*** apparent digestibility coefficients were standardized using age-specific basal endogenous AA *** the SBM group,though the SIDC of N tended to be influenced(quadratic;P=0.075)by age,no linear or quadratic response of age effect was observed on the average SIDC of indispensable(IAA)and total AA(TAA).An age effect(quadratic;P<0.05)was observed on the average SIDC of dispensable AA(DAA)in SBM with the highest value recorded at d 7,followed by a decrease from d 14 to 28,which increased beyond d *** SIDC of some individual AA(Arg,Thr,Trp,Cys,Pro)were affected(P<0.05 or P<0.001)in a quadratic manner by *** the CM,the SIDC of N,average SIDC of IAA,DAA and TAA were influenced(quadratic;P<0.05 or P<0.001)by *** SIDC of N and average SIDC of DAA and TAA were higher from d 7 to 14,declined at d 21,and then increased beyond d *** average SIDC of IAA was low between d 7 and 28 and increased *** SIDC of individual AA were affected(linear or quadratic;P<0.05 or P<0.001)by different magnitudes by *** age influence on the SIDC AA was variable,depending on the protein source and *** results demonstrate that age-specific SIDC AA data might need consideration in broiler feed formulations.

Cryogenic pre-deformation treatment has been widely used to effectively improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of steels and novel ***,the dislocation evolution and phase transformation induced by different degrees of deep cryogenic deformation are not yet fully *** this study,the effects of multiple cryogenic pre-treatments on the mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of a paramagnetic Fe_(63.3)Mn_(14-)Si_(9.1)Cr_(9.8)C_(3.8)medium-entropy alloy(MEA)were investigated,leading to the discovery of a pretreated MEA that exhibits exceptional mechanical properties,including a fracture strength of 3.0 GPa,plastic strain of 26.1%and work.hardening index of *** addition,X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)analyses revealed that multiple cryogenic pre-deformation treatments significantly increased the dislocation density of the MEA(from 9×10^(15)to 4×10^(16)m^(-2)after three pretreatments),along with a transition in the dislocation type from predominantly edge dislocations to mixed dislocations(including screw-and edge-type dislocations).Notably,this pretreated MEA retained its paramagnetic properties(μ_(r)k.ng fault energy of the MEA by a factor of approximately four(i.e.,from 9.7 to2.6 m J·m^(-2)),thereby activating the synergistic effects of transformation-induced plasticity,twinning-induced plasticity and dislocation strengthening *** synergistic effects lead to simultaneous strength and ductility enhancement of the MEA.

采用水冷铜坩埚磁悬浮真空熔炼炉制备了(Fe_(63.3)Mn_(14)Si_(9.1)Cr_(9.8)C_(3.8))_(99.5-x)Cu_(x)Ag_(0.5)(x=1,2,3,4,5,at%)合金,并对合金试样进行抗菌时效处理,研究Cu含量对合金耐腐蚀性能以及抗菌性能的影响。结果表明,经过固溶时效处理后的中熵合金均为fcc结构,随着Cu含量的提高,fcc1富铁基体上逐渐析出了富Cu和富Ag的fcc2相。合金在3.5%(质量分数)NaCl溶液中的耐腐蚀性能优于AISI304。随Cu含量的增加,腐蚀电流密度先减小而后增加,容抗弧半径先增大后减小,表明合金的耐腐蚀性能先增强后减弱。合金在大肠杆菌悬浮液中的腐蚀速率呈现出先增大后减小的趋势,x=2合金的耐生物腐蚀能力最优,而抗菌性能和腐蚀性能存在倒置关系。富Cu和富Ag的fcc2相能有效提升合金的抗菌性能,x=5合金的抗菌性能最优,抗菌率达到99.94%.

Objectives This study investigated the efficacy of human sk.letal myoblasts (Sk.) mediated either human vascular endothelial growth factor-165 (hVEGF165) or angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) on vascular development and myocardial regional perfusion. Methods A porcine heart model of chronic infarction was created in 28 female swine by coronary artery ligation. The animals were randomized into: (1) group-1, DMEM injected (n=6), (2) group-2, Ad-null transduced Sk. transplanted (n=6), (3) group-3, Ad-hVEGF165 transduced Sk. transplanted (n=8), and (4) group-4, Ad-Ang-1 transduced Sk. (n=8). Three week. later, 5 ml DMEM containing 3×108 Sk. carrying exogenous genes were intramyocardially injected into 20 sites in left ventricle in groups-2, -3 and -4. Animals in group-1 were injected 5 ml DMEM without cells. Animals were k.pt on 5 mg/k. cyclosporine per day for 6 week.. Regional blood flow was measured using fluorescent microspheres. The heart was explanted at 2, 6 and 12 week. after transplantation for histological studies. Results Histological examination showed survival of lac-z expressing myoblasts in host tissue. Capillary density based on Von Willebrand factor-VIII (vWF-VIII) at low power field (×100) was 57.13±11.85 in group-3 at 6 week. and declined to 32.1±5.21 at 12 week., while it was 39.9±10.26 at 6 week. and increased to 45.14±6.54 at 12 week. in group-4. The mature blood vessel index was highest in group- 4 at 6 and 12 week. after transplantation. The regional blood flow in the center and peri-infarct area was significantly increased in animals of groups-3 and -4. Conclusions Sk. carrying either hVEGF165 or Ang-1 induced neovascularization with increased blood flow. Ang-1 overexpression resulted in mature and stable blood vessel formation and may be a more potent arteriogenic inducer for neovascularization.

In a local context, sustainable development entails utilizing the current resources—material and immaterial, measurable and immeasurable, popular and unpopular—of the community in a manner that avoids overexploitation and ensures intergenerational equity. This approach prioritizes the safety and health of local citizens, placing communal productivity above corporate profitability. This research aims to assess air quality surrounding 28 chemical industry sites in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to understand the environmental and health impacts of industrial pollutants, with a focus on environmental justice. Air quality pollutants, including PM2.5, PM10, O3, NO2, CO, and SO2, were monitored for 75 days during the Summer, using the BreezoMeter app. Python, Mapize, and QGIS software technologies were utilized for data analysis and visualization. Findings indicate a reduction in NO2 and CO levels, compared to existing literature. However, the persistent challenge of particulate matter suggests areas for further environmental management efforts. Additionally, the research suggests a significant disparity in air pollution exposure, probably affecting marginalized communities. Although the nature of the study might not fully capture annual pollution trends, the findings highlight the urgent need for the chemical industry to adopt efficient production methods and for policymak.rs to enhance air quality standards and enforcement, particularly in pollution-sensitive areas. The disproportionate impact of air pollution on vulnerable communities calls for a more inclusive approach to environmental justice, ensuring equitable distribution of clean air benefits and community involvement in pollution management decisions.
