The highly dynamic nature of agro-ecosystems in space and time usually leads to high intra-class variance and low inter-class separability in the fine spatial resolution(FSR)remotely sensed *** makes traditional classifiers essentially relying on spectral information for crop mapping from FSR imagery an extremely challenging *** mine effectively the rich spectral and spatial information in FSR imagery,this paper proposed a Scale Sequence Object-based Convolutional Neural Network(SS-OCNN)that classifies images at the object level by taking segmented objects(crop parcels)as basic units of analysis,thus,ensuring that the boundaries between crop parcels are delineated *** segmented objects were subsequently classified using a CNN model integrated with an automatically generated scale sequence of input patch *** scale sequence can fuse effectively the features learned at different scales by transforming progressively the information extracted at small scales to larger *** effectiveness of the SS-OCNN was investigated using two heterogeneous agricultural areas with FSR SAR and optical imagery,*** results revealed that the SS-OCNN consistently achieved the most accurate classification *** SS-OCNN,thus,provides a new paradigm for crop classification over heterogeneous areas using FSR imagery,and has a wide application prospect.

Aims Hydrogeomorphic processes operating at watershed,process zone and site scales influence the distribution of riparian ***,most studies examining the relationships between hydrogeomorphic processes and riparian vegetation are conducted at site *** quantified the relative importance of watershed,process zone and site geomorphic characteristics for predicting riparian plant community types and plant species abundances in four small mountain watersheds in central Nevada,*** We mapped riparian vegetation types and identified process zones(based on dominant geomorphic process and valley fill material)within the *** sampled sites in each combination of veg-etation type and process zone(n=184 sites)and collected data on watershed scale factors,valley and stream geomorphic characteristics and on plant cover of each geomorphic *** community types were defined by cluster and indicator species analyses of plant cover data,and related to geomorphic variables using ordination analysis(nonmetric multidimensional scaling).linear mixed effects models were used to predict abundances of indicator *** Findings Variables describing position in the watershed(elevation,contrib-uting area)that are related to gradients of temperature,moisture and stream discharge were of primary importance in predicting plant community *** describing local geomorphic setting(valley width,stream gradient,channel sediments,geomor-phic surface height)were of secondary importance,but accurately described the geomorphic setting of indicator *** process zone classification did not include position in the watershed or channel characteristics and only predicted plant community types with unique geomorphic *** small mountain watersheds,predicting riparian vegetation distribution requires explicit consid-eration of scale and geomorphic context within and among water-sheds in addition to site variables.

Ultrashort multi-ke V x-ray pulses are generated by electron plasma produced by the irradiation of femtosecond pulses on metals. These sub-picosecond x-ray pulses have extended the field of x-ray spectroscopy into the femtosecond time domain. However, pulse-to-pulse instability and long data acquisition time restrict the application of ultrashort x-ray systems operating at low repetition rates. Here we report on the performance of a femtosecond laser plasma-induced hard x-ray source that operates at 1-k Hz repetition rate, and provides a flux of 2.0 × 10^10 photons/s of Cu Kαradiation. Using this system for time-resolved x-ray diffraction experiments, we record in real time, the transient processes and structural changes induced by the interaction of 400-nm femtosecond pulse with the surface of a 200-nm thick Au（111） single crystal.

Unlike central nervous system neurons; those in the peripheral nervous system have the potential for full regeneration after injury. Following injury, recovery is controlled by schwann cells which replicate and modulate the subsequent immune response. The level of nerve recovery is strongly linked to the severity of the initial injury despite the significant advancements in imaging and surgical techniques. multiple experimental model shave been used with varying successes to augment the natural regenerative processes which occur following nerve injury. Stem cell therapy in peripheral nerve injury may be an important future intervention to improve the best attainable clinical results. In particular adipose derived stem cells(ADSCs) are multipotent mesenchymal stem cells similar to bone marrow derived stem cells, which are thought to have neurotrophic properties and the ability to differentiate into multiple lineages. They are ubiquitous within adipose tissue; they can form many structures resembling the mature adult peripheral nervous system. Following early in vitro work; multiple small and large animal in vivo models have been used in conjunction with conduits, autografts and allografts to successfully bridge the peripheral nerve gap. Some of the ADSC related neuroprotective and regenerative properties have been elucidated however much work remains before a model can be used successfully in human peripheral nerve injury(pNI). This review aims to provide a detailed overview of progress made in the use of ADSC in pNI, with discussion on the role of a tissue engineered approach for pNI repair.

Biological drugs opened up new horizons in the management of inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD).This study focuses on access to biological therapy in IBD patients across 9 selected Central and Eastern European(CEE)countries,namely Bulgaria,the Czech Republic,Estonia,Hungary,Latvia,Lithuania,poland,Romania and *** data on the epidemiology and disease burden of IBD in CEE countries was systematically ***,we provide an estimation on prevalence of IBD as well as biological treatment *** all countries with the exception of Romania,lower biological treatment rates were observed in ulcerative colitis(UC)compared to Crohn’s disease despite the higher prevalence of *** heterogeneity(up to 96-fold)was found in access to biologicals across the CEE ***,Bulgaria,Romania and the Baltic States are lagging behind Hungary,Slovakia and the Czech Republic in their access to *** of reimbursement policy may be one of the factors explaining the differences to a certain extent in Bulgaria,Latvia,Lithuania,and poland,but association with other possible determinants(differences in prevalence and incidence,price of biologicals,total expenditure on health,geographical access,and cost-effectiveness results)was not *** assume,nevertheless,that healthdeterioration linked to IBD might be valued differently against other systemic inflammatory conditions in distinct countries and which may contribute to the immense diversity in the utilization of biological drugs for *** conclusion,access to biologicals varies widely among CEE countries and this difference cannot be explained by epidemiological factors,drug prices or total health *** in reimbursement policy could contribute to better access to biologicals in some countries.

Soil moisture,a crucial property for Earth surface research,has been focused widely in various *** Soil moisture Active passive(SmAp)global products at 36 km and 9 km(called p36 and Ap9 in this research)have been published from April ***,the 9 km Ap9 product was retrieved from the active radar and L-band passive radiometer and the active radar failed in July *** this research,the virtual image pair-based spatiotemporal fusion model was coupled with a spatial weighting scheme(VIpSTF-SW)to simulate the 9 km Ap9 data after failure of the active *** method makes full use of all the historical Ap9 and p36 data available between April and July *** a result,8-day composited 9 km SmAp data at the global scale were produced from 2015 to 2020,by downscaling the corresponding 8-day composited p36 *** available Ap9 data and in situ reference data were used to validate the predicted 9 km ***,the predicted 9 km SmAp data can provide more spatial details than p36 and are more accurate than the existing Ep9 *** VIpSTF-SW-predicted 9 km SmAp data are an accurate substitute for Ap9 and will be made freely available to support research and applications in hydrology,climatology,ecology,and many other fields at the global scale.

Locally recurrent rectal cancer(LRRC) is a complex disease with far-reaching implications for the patient. Until recently, research was limited regarding surgical techniques that can increase the ability to perform an en bloc resection with negative margins. This has changed in recent years and therefore outcomes for these patients have improved. Novel radical techniques and adjuncts allow for more radical resections thereby improving the chance of negative resection margins and outcomes. In the past contraindications to surgery included anterior involvement of the pubic bone, sacral invasions above the level of S2/S3 and lateral pelvic wall involvement. However, current data suggests that previously unresectable cases may now be feasible with novel techniques, surgical approaches and reconstructive surgery. The publications to date have only reported small patient pools with the research conducted by highly specialised units. moreover, the short and long-term oncological outcomes are currently under review. Therefore although surgical options for LRRC have expanded significantly, one should balance the treatment choices available against the morbidity associated with the procedure and select the right patient for it.
