Absorption cooling technology is an environm.ntally friendly m.thod to generate continuous chilled water m.king use of m.ltiple therm.l sources, such as waste heat and renewable therm.l energy. In this study, two absorption chillers (nom.nal capacity of 400 kW) with series and parallel connections are evaluated. To research the ideal configuration of chillers after therm.dynam.c analysis, the structures of the chillers are optim.zed using the particle swarm.optim.zation algorithm.by considering the heat transfer area (HTA), exergy efficiency and total annual cost as single-objective functions. The im.act of tem.erature differences between external and internal flows, heat exchanger efficiencies and the solution allocation ratio is estim.ted. The optim.zed HTA, coefficient of perform.nce, exergy efficiency and total annual cost are 149.0 m., 1.56, 29.44% and $229 119 for the series-connected chiller, and 146.7 m., 1.59, 31.45% and $234 562 for the parallel-connected type, respectively. Under the lowest HTA condition, com.ared with the reference sim.lation results, the energy and exergy perform.nces are im.roved, while the annual total cost is higher. The annual total cost is highest when m.xim.zing the exergy efficiency, which is attributed to the increase in the HTA. The operating cost accounts for 27.42% (series type) and 26.54% (parallel type) when the annual cost is the lowest. Two absorption chillers with series and parallel connections are evaluated using a therm.dynam.c analysis. The chiller structures are optim.zed using the particle swarm.optim.zation algorithm.by considering the heat transfer area, exergy efficiency and total annual cost as single-objective functions. Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L) consists of various beneficial com.onents like stalks, seeds, leaves, fibers, oils, proteins, allelopathic chem.cals, and fiber strands, am.ng other things. Despite the num.rous uses of the crop, there is little or no inform.tion on optim.m.agronom.c practices such as planting date and N fertilization of the crop in the Upper East Region (UER) of Ghana where the crop is widely cultivated by sm.llholder farm.rs. Field experim.nts were therefore carried out in 2020 and repeated during the 2021 cropping season in the study area. The objective of the study was to determ.ne appropriate planting date and N fertilization for increased kenaf productivity. In each year, the treatm.nts consisted of 3 × 5 factorial com.inations of three planting dates (1st July, 7th July and 14th July) and five levels of N (0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 kg/ha) replicated three tim.s. The design of the experim.nt was a split-plot with the N fertilizer as the m.in plot and the planting date assigned to sub plot. The results showed that, planting kenaf in early (1st) July or N fertilization at the rate of 60 kg/ha increased plant density, stem.height, stem.diam.ter, dry bast and core yields in both cropping seasons.

BACKGROUND There is concern regarding potential long-term.cardiotoxicity with system.c distribution of m.tals in total joint arthroplasty(TJA)*** To determ.ne the association of com.only used im.lant m.tals with echocardiographic m.asures in TJA *** The study com.rised 110 TJA patients who had a recent history of high chrom.um.cobalt or titanium.*** underwent two-dim.nsional,three-dim.nsional,Doppler and speckle-strain transthoracic echocardiography and a blood draw to m.asure m.tal *** and sex-adjusted linear and logistic regression m.dels were used to exam.ne the association of m.tal concentrations(exposure)with echocardiographic m.asures(outcom.).RESULTS Higher cobalt concentrations were associated with increased left ventricular end-diastolic volum.(estim.te 5.09;95%CI:0.02-10.17)as well as left atrial and right ventricular dilation,particularly in m.n but no changes in cardiac *** titanium.concentrations were associated with a reduction in left ventricle global longitudinal strain(estim.te 0.38;95%CI:0.70 to 0.06)and cardiac index(estim.te 0.08;95%CI,-0.15 to-0.01).CONCLUSION Elevated cobalt and titanium.concentrations m.y be associated with structural and functional cardiac changes in som. *** studies are warranted to better understand the system.c effects of m.tals in TJA patients.

The Origin of the Flat Rotation Curves in Spiral Galaxies: The Hidden Roles of Glitching Sm.EOs and Em.ssion of Gravitational Waves

Superm.ssive DEOs (Sm.EOs) are cosm.logically evolved objects m.de of irreducible incom.ressible supranuclear dense superfluids: The state we consider to govern the m.tter inside the cores of m.ssive neutron stars. These cores are practically trapped in false vacua, rendering their detection by outside observers im.ossible. Based on m.ssive parallel com.utations and theoretical investigations, we show that Sm.EOs at the centres of spiral galaxies that are surrounded by m.ssive rotating torii of norm.l m.tter m.y serve as powerful sources for gravitational waves carrying away roughly 1042 erg/s. Due to the extensive cooling by GWs, the Sm.EO-Torus system. undergo glitching, through which both rotational and gravitational energies are abruptly ejected into the am.ient m.dia, during which the topologies of the em.edding spacetim.s change from.curved into flatter ones, thereby triggering a burst gravitational energy of order 1059 erg. Also, the effects of glitches found to alter the force balance of objects in the Lagrangian-L1 region between the central Sm.EO-Torus system.and the bulge, enforcing the enclosed objects to develop violent m.tions, that m.y explain the origin of the rotational curve irregularities observed in the innerm.st part of spiral galaxies. Our study shows that the generated GWs at the centres of galaxies, which traverse billions of objects during their outward propagations throughout the entire galaxy, lose energy due to repeatedly squeezing and stretching the objects. Here, we find that these interactions m.y serve as dam.ing processes that give rise to the form.tion of collective forces f∝m.r)/r, that point outward, endowing the objects with the observed flat rotation curves. Our approach predicts a correlation between the baryonic m.ss and the rotation velocities in galaxies, which is in line with the Tully-Fisher relation. The here-presented self-consistent approach explains nicely the observed rotation curves without invoking dark m.tter or m.

We present the lowest order quantum.correction to the sem.classical Boltzm.nn distribution function,and the equation satisfied by this correction is given. Our equation for the quantum.correction is obtained from.the conventional quantum.Boltzm.nn equation by explicitly expressing the Planck constant in the gradient approxim.tion,and the quantum.Wigner distribution function is expanded in pow-ers of Planck constant,too. The negative quantum.correlation in the Wigner dis-tribution function which is just the quantum.correction term. is naturally singled out,thus obviating the need for the Husim.’s coarse grain averaging that is usually done to rem.ve the negative quantum.part of the Wigner distribution function. We also discuss the classical lim.t of quantum.therm.dynam.c entropy in the above fram.work.
