The Asia-Pacific region is becoming an increasingly popular destination for holidaymakers and business *** the seductive tourist attractions and the growing financial importance of the region,infectious diseases have unfortunately repeatedly caused major epidemics in the *** area includes various geographical situations from high mountains to the subtropical and monsoon forests,dry deserts and *** travel medicine specialist’s task is to decrease the various risk of travel to the *** diseases,extreme temperatures and marine hazards could be almost entirely prevented by primary prevention forms of travel medicine such as vaccination,chemoprophylaxis and pretravel *** are some high-risk groups(e.g.,elderly people,backpackers,families with children,adventure travelers) among the growing number of ***,the increased numbers of such travelers result in a rising incidence of travelrelated illnesses and *** those groups,primary prevention sometimes is not enough. The pretravel medical check up,specialists’ consultations and treatment,as forms of secondary prevention,are also essential in travel *** who suffer from serious illnesses or who have accidents must often be repatriated."state-of-the-art repatriation",as a special form of tertiary prevention of travel medicine will play an important role in the future and is direcdy related to effective travel insurance,which could help in providing good medical care to the patients even far from their *** levels,methods and importance of prevention in travel medicine are discussed in this article.

Commodity prices have fallen sharply due to the global financial crisis. This has adversely affected the viability of some mining projects, including leading to the possibility of bankruptcy for some companies. These price falls reflect uncertainties and risks associated with mining projects. In recent years, much work has been published related to the application of real options pricing theory to value life-of-mine plans in response to long term financial uncertainty and risk. However, there are uncertainties and risks associated with medium/short-term mining operations. Real options theory can also be applied to tactical decisions involving uncertainties and risks. This paper will investigate the application of real options in the mining industry and present a methodology developed at University of Queensland, Australia, for integrating real options into medium/short-term mine planning and production scheduling. A case study will demonstrate the validity and usefulness of the methodology and techniques developed.

Because of the strong nuclear force among protons and neutrons,α-particles form a stable configuration not only in free space, but also in very light nuclei. Even in unstable configurations of heavy and super-heavy nuclei,α-decay is often observed. Obviously there is a high probability for the formation of anα-particle in such systems, which tunnels through the Coulomb barrier as a combined particle.

Excess nitrogen(N) fertiliser use in agriculture is associated with water pollution and greenhouse gas *** practices and programs to reduce N fertiliser application continue to be developed,inefficient fertiliser use *** that reduce mineral N fertiliser application are needed in a sustainable agricultural ecosystem to control leaching and gaseous losses for environmental *** study evaluated whether fully or partially replacing mineral N fertiliser with zoo compost(Perth Zoo) could be a good mitigation strategy to reduce mineral N fertiliser application without affecting wheat yield and *** achieve this,a glasshouse experiment was conducted to assess the complementary effect of zoo compost and mineral N fertiliser on wheat yield and nutrition in a sandy soil of southwestern ***,a chlorophyll meter was used to determine whether there was a correlation between chlorophyll content and soil mineral N content,grain N uptake,and grain protein content at the tillering(42 d after sowing(DAs)) and heading(63 DAs) growth *** standard practice for N application for this soil type in this area,100 kg ha^(-1),was used with a soil bulk density of 1.3 g cm^(-3) to calculate the amount of mineral N(urea,46% N) and Perth Zoo compost(ZC)(0.69% N) for each *** comprised a control(no nutrients added,T1),mineral N only(100 kg N ha^(-1),T2),ZC only(100 kg N ha^(-1),T7),and combinations of mineral N and ZC at different rates(mineral N at 100 kg N ha^(-1)+ ZC at 25 kg N ha^(-1)(T3),mineral N at 75 kg N ha^(-1)+ ZC at 25 kg N ha^(-1)(T4),mineral N at 75 kg N ha^(-1)+ ZC at 50 kg N ha^(-1)(T5),and mineral N at 50 kg N ha^(-1)+ ZC at 50 kg N ha^(-1)(T6)).The T6 treatment significantly increased grain yield(by 26%) relative to the T2 ***,the T7 treatment did not affect grain yield when compared to the T2 *** treatments with mineral N and ZC in combination significantly improved the

Hydrogen technologies and fuel cells offer an alternative and improved solution for a decarbonised energy *** cells are electrochemical converters;transforming hydrogen (or energy sources containing hydrogen) and oxygen directly into *** hydrogen fuel cell,invented in 1839,permits the generation of electrical energy with high efficiency through a non-combustion,electrochemical process and,importantly,without the emission ofits point of ***,despite numerous efforts to exploit the obvious attractions of hydrogen technologies and hydrogen fuel cells,various challenges have been encountered,some of which are reviewed ***,however,given the exigent need to urgently seek low-carbon paths for humankind’s energy future,numerous countries are advancing the deployment of hydrogen technologies and hydrogen fuel cells not only for transport,but also as a means of the storage of excess renewable energy from,for example,wind and solar ***,hydrogen is also being blended into the natural gas supplies used in domestic heating and targeted in the decarbonisation of critical,large-scale industrial processes such as steel *** briefly review specific examples in countries such as Japan,south Korea and the People’s Republic of China,as well as selected examples from Europe and North America in the utilization of hydrogen technologies and hydrogen fuel cells.

The purpose of this work is the development of a trained artificial neural network for surrogate modeling of the mechanical response of elasto-viscoplastic grain *** this end,a U-Net-based convolutional neural network(CNN)is trained using results for the von Mises stress field from the numerical solution of initial-boundary-value problems(IBVPs)for mechanical equilibrium in such microstructures subject to quasi-static uniaxial *** resulting trained CNN(tCNN)accurately reproduces the von Mises stress field about 500 times faster than numerical solutions of the corresponding IBVP based on spectral *** of the tCNN to test cases based on microstructure morphologies and boundary conditions not contained in the training dataset is also investigated and discussed.
