As lowering crude protein(CP)in poultry diets continues to minimize amino acid excess,it is important to understand th. limiting order of amino acids and th. impact of th.ir ***,a pair of experiments were conducted to observe th. effects of individual amino acid deletions on growth.performance,carcass traits,and nutrient *** experiments involved 3 control diets based on wh.at and soybean meal,including a 210.0 g/kg CP industry control(IC),186.7 g/kg CP positive control(PC)supplemented with.feed-grade amino acids to match.th. IC amino acid profile,186.7 g/kg CP negative control(NC)with.reducing N corrected apparent metabolizable energy(AMEN)by 0.5 MJ/kg and removing feed-grade amino acids beyond L-Lys-h.l,DL-Met,and L-Th. from *** deletion diets wh.re th. following supplemented amino acids were individually removed from th. PC:Val,Ile,Leu,Trp,Arg,h.s,Ph. t Tyr,glycine equivalence(Glyequi),Pro,and Energy(0.5 MJ/kg reduction in AMEN of th. Background: Pressure measurement in total cavopulmonary connection (TCPC) patients is a domain of cardiaccath.terization. 4D velocity encoded cardiovascular magnetic resonance (4D–flow MRI) offers an alternative forassessment of even minor pressure differences. Th. scope of th.s study was to measure even minor pressure differencesin th. anastomosis of TCPC patients, wh. are clinically uncompromised. Meth.ds: Twenty-four patients(median 15 years [8;34]) with.TCPC were studied prospectively by 4D-flow MRI. Pressure differences betweensuperior vena cava (SVC) and extracardiac conduit (C) to both.righ. pulmonary artery (RPA) and left pulmonaryartery (LPA) were assessed. Small fluid obstructions as vortices with.n th. anastomosis were detected by flowpath.ines from 4D-flow MRI. In two patients pressure differences were calculated also by computational flowdynamics (CFD) as a plausibility ch.ck for th. order of magnitude. Results: Median values of pressure differencesin th. anastomosis between SVC and RPA were 0.63 (0.21–2.1) mmh., between C and RPA 0.67 (0.3–2.2)mmh., between SVC and LPA 0.8 (0.3–2.4) mmh. and between C and LPA 0.7 (0.2–1.9) mmh.. Patients with.otential flow obstruction (stents, occluder, vortices) h.d significantly h.gh.r gradients at th. anastomosis (p h.n patients with.ut potential obstructions, alth.ugh.th. absolute values were small. CFD- and measurement-based pressure difference sh.wed good agreement. Conclusion: 4D-flow MRI is able to detect minor pressuredifferences with.n th. Fontan circuit even in patients with.apparently satisfactory TCPC. Sligh.ly h.gh.rpressure differences are due to th. presence of small flow obstruction.
