Extending the ionic conductivity is the pre-requisite of electrolytes in fuel cell technology for high-electrochemical *** this regard,the introduction of semiconductor-oxide materials and the approach of heterostructure formation by modulating energy bands to enhance ionic conduction acting as an electrolyte in fuel ***(n-type;SnO_(2))plays a key role by introducing into p-type SrFe_(0.2)Ti_(0.8)O_(3-δ)(SFT)semiconductor perovskite materials to construct p-n heterojunction for high ionic ***,two different composites of SFT and SnO_(2)are constructed by gluing p-and n-type SFT-SnO_(2),where the optimal composition of SFT-SnO_(2)(6∶4)heterostructure electrolyte-based fuel cell achieved excellent ionic conductivity 0.24 S cm^(-1)with power-output of 1004 mW cm^(-2)and high OCV 1.12 V at a low operational temperature of 500℃.The high power-output and significant ionic conductivity with durable operation of 54 h are accredited to SFT-SnO_(2)heterojunction formation including interfacial conduction assisted by a built-in electric field in fuel cell ***,the fuel conversion efficiency and considerable Faradaic efficiency reveal the compatibility of SFT-SnO_(2)heterostructure electrolyte and ruled-out short-circuiting ***,the first principle calculation provides sufficient information on structure optimization and energy-band structure modulation of SFT-SnO_(2).This strategy will provide new insight into semiconductor-based fuel cell technology to design novel electrolytes.

COMPARISON OF POLYSACCHARIdES ISOLATEd FROM THE MYCELIA OF A CULTIVATEd STRAIN OF PORIA COCOS GROWN IN dIFFERENT LIQUId CULTURE MEdIA

Mycelium of a cultivated strain of Poria cocos was grown by submerged fermentation in a liquid mediumcontaining corn steep liquor with orbital shaking. Six polysaccharides coded as ac-PCM1, ac-PCM2, ac-PCM3-Ⅰ andⅡ, ac-PCM4-Ⅰand Ⅱ were isolated from the myelium by extracting with 0.9% NaCl aqueous solution, hot water, 0.5 mol/L NaOHaqueous solution and 88% formic acid. Exo-polysaccharide was obtained from the culture medium and coded as *** monosaccharide composition and molecular weights of these polysaccharides were characterized by using infraredspectroscopy, gas chromaography, elemental analysis, ^(13)C-NMR, viscometry and light scattering. The results indicated thatac-PCM0, ac-PCM1 and ac-PCM2 are heteropolysaccharides containing glucose, galactose, mannose and fucose, and ac-PCM3-Ⅰ and ac-PCM3-Ⅱ mainly consist of d-glucose. The content of the glucose in the polysaccharides increased with theisolation progress. Remarkably, α-glucan and β-glucan coexisted in the extract by NaOH aqueous solution (ac-PCM3), andcould be separated by chemical methods. The protein in the ac-PCM polysaccharides cultured from the medium containingcorn steep liquor was higher than that in the ab-PCM from the medium with bran extract. Therefore, the polysaccharidesfrom Poria cocos mycelia cultured in different media have different chemical composition, molecular weights and conformations.

The East African Orogen involves a collage of Proterozoic microcontinents and arc terranes that became wedged between older cratonic blocks during the assembly of *** Ediacaran-Cambrian Ambalavao and Maevarano Suites in Madagascar were emplaced during the waning orogenic stages and consist of weakly deformed to undeformed plutonic rocks and dykes of mainly porphyritic granite but also gabbro,diorite and charnockite.U-Pb geochronological data date emplacement of the Ambalavao Suite to between ca.580 Ma and 540 Ma and the Maevarano Suite to between ca.537 Ma and522 *** and trace element concentrations are consistent with emplacement in a syn-to postcollisional tectonic setting as A-type(anorogenic) ***(δ^(18)O of 5.27‰-7.45‰) and hafnium(ε(Hf)(t) of-27.8 to-12.3) isotopic data from plutons in the Itremo and Antananarivo domains are consistent with incorporation of an ancient crustal *** primitive δ^(18)O(5.27‰-5.32‰) andε(Hf)(t)(+0.0 to+0.2) isotopic values recorded in samples collected from the Ikalamavony domain demonstrate the isotopic variation of basement sources present in the Malagasy *** Hf isotopic composition of Malagasy zircon are unlike more juvenile Ediacaran-Cambrian zircon sou rces elsewhere in the East African Orogen and,as such,Madagascar represents a distinct and identifiable detrital zircon source region in Phanerozoic sedimentary provenance *** together,these data indicate that high-T crustal anatexis,crustal assimilation and interaction of crustal material with mantle-derived melts were the processes operating during magma *** magmatism was coeval with polyphase deformation throughout Madagascar during the amalgamation of Gondwana and magmatism is interpreted to reflect lithospheric delamination of an extensive orogenic plateau.

Accurate and temporally consistent modeling of human bodies is essential for a wide range of applications,including character animation,understanding human social behavior,and AR/VR *** human motion accurately from a monocular image sequence remains challenging;modeling quality is strongly influenced by temporal consistency of the captured body *** work presents an elegant solution to integrating temporal constraints during *** increases both temporal consistency and robustness during *** detail,we derive parameters of a sequence of body models,representing shape and motion of a *** optimize these parameters over the complete image sequence,fitting a single consistent body shape while imposing temporal consistency on the body motion,assuming body joint trajectories to be linear over short *** approach enables the derivation of realistic 3d body models from image sequences,including jaw pose,facial expression,and articulated *** experiments show that our approach accurately estimates body shape and motion,even for challenging movements and ***,we apply it to the particular application of sign language analysis,where accurate and temporally consistent motion modelling is essential,and show that the approach is well-suited to this kind of application.

Sand wave migration near the southeastern corner of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, USA

Sand waves of approximately 2 m in height were observed to migrate nearly 40 m with counterclockwise rotation between two bathymetric surveys performed three months apart near the southeastern corner of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The region is characterized by strong tidal currents, intermittent energetic surface wave events, and shallow water with local depth ranging from 2 to 7 m. This study uses the process-based model, delft3d, with a three-dimensional approach to examine the sand wave dynamics by incorporating surface waves, winds, currents, and bathymetric observations. The model successfully simulates sand wave migration in comparisons to observations. Model sensitivity analyses show that the sand wave migration reduces by 65% with the absence of the surface waves. The modeled sand wave migration speed is correlated with the tidal current Shields parameter, and sharp increases in migration speed occur when the wave-driven Shields parameter increases in response to energetic surface wave events. The combined effect of tides, surface waves, and bathymetry is the origin of the rotational aspect of the sand wave, using the Shields parameter as an indicator of tidal currents and surface wave influence on sand wave dynamics.

Surface tracking assessment and interaction in texture space

In this paper, we present a novel approach for assessing and interacting with surface tracking algorithms targeting video manipulation in postproduction. As tracking inaccuracies are unavoidable,we enable the user to provide small hints to the algorithms instead of correcting erroneous results afterwards. Based on 2d mesh warp-based optical flow estimation, we visualize results and provide tools for user feedback in a consistent reference system, texture space. In this space, accurate tracking results are reflected by static appearance, and errors can easily be spotted as apparent change. A variety of established tools can be utilized to visualize and assess the change between frames. User interaction to improve tracking results becomes more intuitive in texture space, as it can focus on a small region rather than a moving *** show how established tools can be implemented for interaction in texture space to provide a more intuitive interface allowing more effective and accurate user feedback.

Recently,a paper published in Science reported discovery of sensory peripheral glial cells[1].This paper demonstrated a rather unexpected property of non-myelinating Schwann cells(also known as Remak cells)dwelling in the subepidermal border of the skin[2].These glial cells and their interactions with nociceptive nerve terminals were characterized using a variety of genetic labelling tools,transmission electron microscopy,immunocytochemistry.

Break of symmetry in regenerating tobacco protoplasts is independent of nuclear positioning

Nuclear migration and positioning are crucial for the morphogenesis of plant cells. We addressed the potential role of nuclear positioning for polarity induction using an experimental system based on regenerating protoplasts, where the induction of a cell axis de novo can be followed by quantification of specific regeneration stages. Using overexpression of fluorescently tagged extranuclear （perinu- clear actin basket, kinesins with a calponin homology domain （KCH）） as well as intranuclear （histone H2B） factors of nuclear positioning and time-lapse series of the early stages of regeneration, we found that nuclear position is no prerequi- site for polarity formation. However, polarity formation and nuclear migration were both modulated in the transgenic lines, indicating that both phenomena depend on factors affecting cytoskeletal tensegrity and chromatin structure. We integrated these findings into a model where retrograde signals are required for polarity induction. These signals travel via the cytoskeleton from the nucleus toward targets at the plasma membrane.
