Single-level dynamic spiral CT of hepatocellular carcinoma:Correlation between imaging features and density of tumor microvessels

AIM: To investigate the correlation of enhancement features of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) revealed by single-level dynamic spiral CT scanning (DSCT) with tumor microvessel density (NVD), and to determine the validity of DSCT in assessing in vivo tumor angiogenic activity of HCC. METHODS: Twenty six HCC patients were diagnosed histopathologically. DSCT was performed for all patients according to standard scanning protocol. Time-density curves were generated, relevant curve parameters were measured,and gross enhancement morphology was analyzed. Operation was performed to remove HCC lesions i to 2 weeks following CT scan. Histopathological slides were carefully prepared for the standard F8RA immunohistochemical staining and tumor microvessel counting. Enhancement imaging features of HCC lesions were correlatively studied with tumor MVD and its intra-tumor distribution characteristics. RESULTS: On DSCT images of HCC lesions, three patterns of time-density curve and three types of gross enhancement morphology were recognized. Histomorphologically, the distribution of positively stained tumor endothelial cells within tumor was categorized into 3 types. Curve parameters such as peak enhancement value and contrast enhancement ratio were significantly correlated with tumor tissue MVD (/=0.508 and /=0.423, P<0.01 and P<0.05 respectively). Both the pattern of time-density curve and the gross enhancement morphology of HCC lesions were also correlated with tumor MVD, and reflected the distributive features of tumor microvessels within HCC lesions. Correlation between the likelihood of intrahepatic metastasis of HCC lesions with densely enhanced pseudocapsules and rich pseudocapsular tumor MVD was ***: Enhancement imaging features of HCC lesions on DSCT scanning are correlated with tumor MVD,and reflect the intra-tumor distribution characteristics of tumor microvessels. 柔性可穿戴传感器是附着于人体皮肤或组织上的监测装置,可以持续监测和量化特定微环境变化所产生的电信号或化学信号,在医学诊断和治疗方面具有广泛的应用前景。二维材料具有原子薄层的平面结构、优异的机械柔性和电学性能,非常适合用于构建可穿戴传感器。近年来,基于二维材料的柔性传感器在材料制备、工艺设计和设备集成等方面取得了巨大的进展。本文首先综述了二维材料在柔性可穿戴传感器应用上的最新研究进展,概括了基于二维材料的可穿戴传感器在物理、化学和生物信号检测方面的应用。另外,详细介绍了包括多模态传感在内的二维材料集成器件。最后,讨论了二维材料柔性可穿戴传感器在实际应用中所面临的问题和挑战,并对基于二维材料的可穿戴传感器的发展前景作出了展望。

Background and aim Few studies have reported hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)kinetics after nucleos(t)ide analog(NA)discontinuation in patients with noncirrhotic chronic hepatitis B(CHB).The study specifically investigated long-term HBsAg kinetics after NA *** Between January 2014 to January 2024,this study prospectively enrolled 106 outpatients with noncirrhotic CHB who met the discontinuation criteria after NA consolidation ***,clinical,and laboratory data were collected and analyzed after NA *** Ninety-six patients who finished 5 years of follow-up were *** remained undetectable in 29 patients with end of treatment(EOT)HBsAg *** 67 patients with EOT HBsAg positivity,HBsAg seroclearance occurred in 12(17.9%)patients with an estimated annual incidence of HBsAg seroclearance of 3.6%.Patients with EOT HBsAg levels of≤1000 IU/mL had a higher HBsAg seroclearance rate than those with EOT HBsAg levels of>1000 IU/mL(33.3%vs.5.4%).The proportion of patients with HBsAg≤1000 IU/mL increased during *** regression analysis indicated that the EOT HBsAg level was an independent factor for HBsAg seroclearance and an HBsAg level decline exceeding 1 log10 IU/*** optimal EOT HBsAg cutoff for both HBsAg seroclearance and an HBsAg level decline exceeding 1 log10 IU/mL was 359 IU/*** Patients with EOT HBsAg negativity experienced no relapse and maintained HBsAg seroclearance during 5 years of follow-up after NA discontinuation.A higher HBsAg seroclearance rate can be obtained in patients with EOT HBsAg levels of≤1000 IU/mL during 5 years of follow-up after NA *** monitoring and proper NA retreatment are recommended to guarantee the safety of NA discontinuation.

Background and Aims:To investigate the safety and efficacy of double plasma molecular adsorption system(DPMAS)with sequential low-dose plasma exchange(LPE)in treating early hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure(HBV-ACLF).Methods:Clinical data of patients with HBVACLF were prospectively collected,including patients in a DPMAS with sequential LPE(DPMAS+LPE)group and those in a standard medical treatment(SMT)*** primary endpoint was death or liver transplantation(LT)at 12 weeks of ***-score matching was performed to control the effects of confounding factors on prognosis between the two ***:After 2 weeks,total bilirubin,alanine aminotransferase,blood urea nitrogen levels,and Chinese Group on the Study of Severe Hepatitis B score,were significantly lower in the DPMAS+LPE group than those in the SMT group(p<0.05).After 4 weeks,laboratory parameters of the two groups were *** cumulative survival rate of the DPMAS+LPE group was significantly higher than that of the SMT group at 4 weeks(97.9%vs.85.4%,p=0.027),but not at 12 weeks(85.4%vs.83.3%,p=0.687).Cytokine levels were significantly lower in 12-week survival group than in the death-or-LT group(p<0.05).Functional enrichment analysis showed that downregulated cytokines were mainly involved in positive regulation of proliferation and activation of lymphocytes and monocytes,regulation of immune effect response,regulation of endotoxin response,and glial cell ***:DPMAS+LPE significantly improved the 4-week cumulative survival rate,and ameliorated the inflammatory response in ***+LPE may be a promising modality for patients with early HBV-ACLF.
