Enhanced energy density in polyetherimide nanocomposite film at high temperature induced by electrospun BaZrTiO_(3) nanofibers

Polymer dielectrics which possess excellent dielectric properties such as high breakdown strength,flexibility,and facile processability are considered as promising materials for advanced electrostatic ***,most dielectric polymers have unsatisfactory energy storage performances at high-temperature ***,polyetherimide(PEI) nanocomposite films contained with electrospun Ba(Zr_(0.79)Ti_(0.21))O_(3) nanofibers(BZTNFs) are fabricated by common solution casting *** dielectric properties,especially the breakdown strength of the BZTNFs/PEI nanocomposites,are characterized,yet improvement is only in the small loading *** energy storage performance of the 0.5 vol% and1.0 vol% BZTNFs content nanocomposite is further investigated from 25 to 150℃.With the introduction of small loading BZTNFs,the dielectric permittivity and electric displacement of the nanocomposite are improved at all evaluated *** 1.0 vol% BZTNFs/PEI possesses a maximal discharged energy density of6.05 J·cm^(-3) with high efficiency of 94.9% at 25℃,then falls to 3.34 J·cm^(-3) with efficiency of 54.6% at 150℃ for the larger remnant ***,the relaxation ferroelectric nanofller of BZTNFs is much effective in increasing the dielectric permittivity of nanocomposite,but its capacity to restrict the migration of the charge carriers at high temperatures is weaker than that of the nanofillers with wider *** complementation of both kinds of the nanofillers probably provides an approach to available high-temperature dielectric films.

Experimental Study on Vortex-Induced Vibration of Rough Risers Coupling with Interference Effect in Tandem Arrangement

In order to study the response law of vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of marine risers under the combined action of roughness and interference effects,and to reveal the coupling mechanism of roughness and interference effects on the riser,a VIV experiment of rough risers in tandem arrangement was conducted in a wave−current combined *** experiment characterized the risers’roughness by arranging different specifications of attachments on the surface of the *** rough risers with different roughness and smooth risers were arranged in tandem arrangement,with the rough risers arranged *** experimental results indicate that the suppression of the attachments on the downstream risers’vibration are more significant both in the CF and IL directions as the reduced velocity *** the downstream riser,the amplitude response of rough riser is more significantly weakened compared with the smooth one at high reduced *** the upstream risers,changes in the roughness and spacing ratio have an impact on their‘lock-in’*** the roughness of downstream risers is relatively large(0.1300)and the spacing between risers is small(S/D=4.0),the reduced velocity range of‘lock-in’region in the CF direction of upstream risers is obviously expanded,and the displacement in the‘lock-in’region is severer.

Effect of CO_(2) Opposing Multiple Jets on Thermoacoustic Instability and NO_(x) Emissions in a Lean-Premixed Model Combustor

This paper experimentally studied the effect of CO_(2) opposing multiple jets on the thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions in a lean-premixed model *** feasibility was verified from three variables:the CO_(2) jet flow rate,hole numbers,and hole diameters of the *** indicate that the control effect of thermoacoustic instability and NO_x emissions show a reverse trend with the increase of open area ratio on the whole,and the optimal jet flow rate range is 1-4 L/min with CO_(2) opposing multiple *** this flow rate range,the amplitude and frequency of the dynamic pressure and heat release signals CH~* basically decrease as the CO_(2) flow rate increases,which avoids high-frequency and high-amplitude thermoacoustic *** amplitude-damped ratio of dynamic pressure and CH*can reach as high as 98.75% and 93.64% with an optimal open area ratio of 3.72%.NO_(x) emissions also decrease as the jet flow rate increases,and the maximum suppression ratio can reach 68.14%.Besides,the flame shape changes from a steep inverted "V" to a more flat "M",and the flame length will become shorter with CO_(2) opposing multiple *** research achieved the synchronous control of thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions,which could be a design reference for constructing a safer and cleaner combustor.

Impact of Annealing on the Melt Recrystallization of a-PDLA/α-PLLA Double-layered Films

Poly(lactic acid)(PLA) as a bio-based polymer with biodegradability and biocompatibility has attracted much attention. To manipulate its properties for different applications, regulation of crystal structure and crystalline morphology becomes an attractive research topic. In this work, the structure evolution of layered samples containing an amorphous poly(D-lactide)(PDLA) layer and a crystalline poly(L-lactide)(PLLA)layer with highly oriented edge-on α lamellar crystals after annealing at 150 ℃ or/and after melt-recrystallization has been studied by AFM, FTIR,and TEM combined with electron diffraction. The results demonstrate that melt recrystallization of the as-prepared sample leads to the formation of abundant randomly oriented PLA stereo-complex(PLA SC) crystals. Annealing at 150 ℃ results in the formation of a small amount of oriented PLA SC crystals at the interface. These PLA SC crystals show great impact on the recrystallization behavior of sample after melting at 190 ℃ and then crystallizing at 90 ℃. First, they impede the mutual diffusion of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, and thus reduce their stereocomplexation ability as manifested by the decreased amount of PLA SC crystals. Second, they act as substrate to initiate the epitaxial crystallization of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, which ensures the production of a highly oriented structure of PDLA and PLLA after melt recrystallization again.

Fast thermal responsive separators toward long-life and safe lithium metal batteries

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)have been extensively investigated during the past decades because of their ultrahigh energy *** the increasing demand for energy density,however,the safety issue of LMBs has become a significant *** particular,localized areas of increased temperature(namely,hotspots)may be induced and even exacerbated within LMBs by uneven current distribution,internal short circuits,or inadequate heat dissipation,which significantly sacrifices battery safety and cycle ***,we report the rational design and fabrication of a fast thermal responsive separator capable of inhibiting the growth of lithium dendrites and mitigating thermal propagation,thereby reducing the risk of thermal *** as-achieved separator comprises both an electrospun membrane using a phase change material with superior thermal-storage ability and a thermally conductive modification layer of hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets with a fast heat-transfer *** is demonstrated that such a unique integration of heat conduction and heat storage enables the functional separator with attractive abilities to mitigate hotspots and inhibit the growth of lithium dendrites upon the cycling of ***,pouch cells with the thermal-responsive separator,as well as numerical simulations,verify much enhanced safety and cycle life of *** work may offer a new conceptual design of intelligent separators that acts as a functional unit encapsulated within a single cell to boost in-situ thermal management,which will help to develop high-safety and energy-dense LMBs.

Carbonation of Dicalcium Silicate Enhanced by Ammonia Bicarbonate and Its Mechanism

The strength development law of γ-type dicalcium silicate (γ-C_(2)S) under different carbonation processes was investigated,and the carbonation mechanism of γ-C_(2)S under the action of NH_(4)HCO_(3) was clarified by using a wide range of test methods,including XRD and SEM.A method of saturated NH_(4)HCO_(3) solution as a curing agent was identified to improve the carbonation efficiency and enhance the carbonation degree of γ-C_(2)S,and then a high-strength carbonated specimen was *** analysis and SEM morphology analysis were conducted on the carbonised specimens obtained under atmospheric pressure carbonisation conditions using the curing *** was found that γ-C_(2)S could perform carbonisation well under atmospheric pressure,which promoted the carbonisation efficiency and decreased the carbonisation cost ***,a new carbonisation process solution was proposed for the rapid carbonisation of γ-C_(2)S.

Studies on the temporal,structural,and interacting features of the clubroot resistance gene Rcr1 using CRISPR/Cas9-based systems

Clubroot disease is a severe threat to Brassica crops globally,particularly in western *** resistance,achieved through pyramiding clubroot resistance(CR)genes with different modes of action,is the most important strategy for managing the ***,studies on the CR gene functions are quite *** this study,we have conducted investigations into the temporal,structural,and interacting features of a newly cloned CR gene,Rcr1,using CRISPR/Cas9 *** temporal functionality,we developed a novel CRISPR/Cas9-based binary vector,pHHIGR-Hsp18.2,to deliver Rcr1 into a susceptible canola line(DH12075)and observed that early expression of Rcr1 is critical for conferring *** structural functionality,several independent mutations in specific domains of Rcr1 resulted in loss-offunction,highlighting their importance for CR *** the study of the interacting features of Rcr1,a cysteine protease gene and its homologous allele in canola were successfully disrupted via CRISPR/Cas9 as an interacting component with Rcr1 protein,resulting in the conversion from clubroot resistant to susceptible in plants carrying intact *** results indicated an indispensable role of these two cysteine proteases in Rcr1-mediated resistance *** study,the first of its kind,provides valuable insights into the functionality of ***,the new vector p HHIGR-Hsp18.2 demonstrated an inducible feature on the removal of add-on traits,which should be useful for functional genomics and other similar research in brassica crops.

Study on Shear Strength Characteristics of Basalt-Concrete Bonding Interface Based on in-situ Direct Shear Test

In rock engineering,the shear strength of the basalt-concrete bonding interface is a key factor affecting the shear performance of hydroelectric dam foundations,embedded rock piles and rock *** this study,30 sets of in-situ direct shear tests were conducted on the basalt-concrete bond interface in the Baihetan dam area to investigate the shear strength characteristics of the basalt-concrete bonding *** bonding interface contains two states,i.e.,the bonding interface is not sheared,termed as se(symbolic meaning see Table 1);the bonding interface is sheared with rupture surface,termed as *** effects of lithology,Joints structure,rock type grade and concrete compressive strength on the shear strength of the concrete-basalt contact surface were *** test results show that the shear strength of the bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))of columnar jointed basalt with concrete is greater than that of the bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))of non-columnar jointed one with the same rock type *** the rock type grade isⅢ_(2),fcol is 1.22 times higher than fncol and ccol is 1.13 times greater than *** shear strength parameters of the basalt-concrete bonding interface differ significantly for different *** cohesion of the bonding interface(s_(i))of cryptocrystalline basalt with concrete is 2.05 times higher than that of the bonding interface(s_(i))of breccia lava with concrete under the same rock type grade *** type grade has a large influence on the shear strength of the non-columnar jointed basalt-concrete bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i)).cnol increases by 33%when the grade of rock type rises fromⅢ_(1)toⅡ_(1).the rock type grade has a greater effect on bonding interface(s_(i))cohesion than the coefficient of *** the rock type grade is reduced fromⅢ_(2)toⅢ_(1),f_(ncol)′increases by 2%and c_(ncol)′improves by 44%.The shear strength of the non-columnar jointed basalt-concrete bonding interface(s_(e)&s_(i))increases wit

Cloud-Type-Dependent 1DVAR Algorithm for Retrieving Hydrometeors and Precipitation in Tropical Cyclone Nanmadol from GMI Data

Understanding the structure of tropical cyclone(TC)hydrometeors is crucial for detecting the changes in the distribution and intensity of *** this study,the GMI brightness temperature and cloud-dependent 1DVAR algorithm were used to retrieve the hydrometeor profiles and surface rain rate of TC Nanmadol(2022).The Advanced Radiative Transfer Modeling System(ARMS)was used to calculate the Jacobian and degrees of freedom(△DOF)of cloud water,rainwater,and graupel for different channels of GMI in convective *** retrieval results were compared with the Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar(DPR),GMI 2A,and IMERG *** is shown that from all channels of GMI,rain water has the highest△DOF,at *** to the radiance Jacobian to atmospheric state variables,cloud water emission dominates its *** rain water,the emission of channels 1–4 dominates *** with the GMI 2A precipitation product,the 1DVAR precipitation rate has a higher correlation coefficient(0.713)with the IMERG product and can better reflect the location of TC *** the TC eyewall,the highest radar echo top indicates strong *** the melting layer where Ka-band attenuation is strong,the double frequency difference of DPR data reflects the location of the *** DPR drop size distribution(DSD)product shows that there is a significant increase in particle size below the melting layer in the spiral rain ***,the particle size may be one of the main reasons for the smaller rain water below the melting layer retrieved from 1DVAR.
