Design and implementation of accelerator control monitoring system

IMPCAS has constructed and currently manages a large number of accelerator facilities. However, the current accelerator monitoring methods are unable to satisfy all of the device requirements. The accelerator control monitoring system(ACMS) was created and established to provide an efficient and accurate accelerator control monitoring system. It enables automatic alerting of problems with accelerator control systems and infrastructure. It utilizes a big data distributed stream processing engine and open-source monitoring tools. Metrics, logs, and EPICS PV values are the major three types of data that it monitors. Prometheus is primarily used to monitor metrics such as network traffic, hardware devices, and software operations. Graylog is used to monitor logs created by various applications and systems. We also created the EPICS Pulsar connector software, which allows us to transfer PV values to the Pulsar messaging cluster and use the Flink compute engine for real-time monitoring. The designed data management module allows users to define alert rules in a variety of ways. The ACMS enables the separation of the Flink business system and alarm rules. Users may use the data management module to add or alter alarm rules in real-time without having to restart the alarm software. This reduces the effect of alarm flooding when the accelerator reaches the beam shifting or shutdown condition and dramatically enhances alarm efficiency. The main components of the ACMS may be deployed in clusters, making it extremely versatile. Experimental results demonstrated that it has a higher throughput than the Phoebus Alarm system and can handle millions of monitoring indicators. The ACMS employs a modular framework that is very scalable. Long-term stability analyses were performed at the SESRI and HIRFL facilities. It achieved all of the intended goals and could greatly improve the accident handling efficiency while minimizing the failure time of the accelerator control system.

Partial Correlation Analysis Based Identification of Distribution Network Topology

Accurately identifying distribution network topol-ogy,which tends to be a mesh configuration with increasing penetration rate of distributed energy resources(DERs),is critical for reliable operation of a smart distribution network.Multicollinearity among node voltages makes existing topology identification methods unstable and inaccurate.Considering partial correlation analysis can reveal the intrinsic correlation of two variables by eliminating the influence of other variables,this paper develops a novel data-driven method based on partial correlation analysis to identify distribution network topology(radial,mesh,or including DERs)using only historical voltage amplitude data.First,maximum spanning tree of network is generated through Prim algorithm.Then,the loops of network are identified by taking tree neighbors as controlling variables in partial correlation analysis.Finally,a new topology verification mechanism based on partial correlation analysis is developed to correct wrong connections caused by multicollinearity.Test results on IEEE 33-node system,IEEE 123-node system and practical distribution network demonstrate that our method outperforms common data-driven methods,and can robustly identify both radial and mesh distribution network with DERs.IndexTerms-Data-driven,linear correlation,partial correlation,smart meter,topology identification.

Calculation of microscopic nuclear level densities based on covariant density functional theory

In this study,a microscopic method for calculating the nuclear level density(NLD)based on the covariant density functional theory(CDFT)is developed.The particle-hole state density is calculated by a combinatorial method using single-particle level schemes obtained from the CDFT,and the level densities are then obtained by considering collective effects such as vibration and rotation.Our results are compared with those of other NLD models,including phenomenological,microstatisti-cal and nonrelativistic Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov combinatorial models.This comparison suggests that the general trends among these models are essentially the same,except for some deviations among the different NLD models.In addition,the NLDs obtained using the CDFT combinatorial method with normalization are compared with experimental data,including the observed cumulative number of levels at low excitation energies and the measured NLDs.The CDFT combinatorial method yields results that are in reasonable agreement with the existing experimental data.

Hazard prediction of coal and gas outburst based on the Hamming distance artificial intelligence algorithm (HDAIA)

Currently,coal mining faces the uncertainty of the risk of coal and gas outbursts and inaccurate prediction results.Owing to this,an artificial immune algorithm(AIA)was developed for coal and gas outburst prediction based on the Hamming distance(HD)calculation method of antibody and antigen affinity called the Hamming distance artificial intelligence algorithm(HDAIA).The correlation matrix of coal and gas outburst indicators was constructed using the interpolation function in the algorithm.The HD algorithm was used to obtain the affinity between the antibody and antigen,and the minimum HD was screened to obtain the prediction result.The collected dynamic data of the drilling cuttings gas desorption index Ki and the drilling cuttings weight S during the excavation process of the 11,192-working face of a coal mine in Guizhou Province,China,were used as prediction indices.The results indicate that the prediction result of the HDAIA for the risk of coal and gas outbursts is consistent with the actual risk of outbursts,and it has a good prediction of the risk of coal and gas outbursts.The HDAIA can be used as a novel method for predicting the risk of coal and gas outbursts.

Coupling effects between elastic and electromagnetic fields from the perspective of conservation of energy

Coupling effects among different physical fields reflect the conversion of energies from one field into another substantially.For simple physical processes,their governing or constitutive equations all satisfy the law of conservation of energy(LCE).Then,an analysis is extended to the coupling effects.First,for the linear direct and converse piezoelectric and piezomagnetic effects,their constitutive equations guarantee that the total energy is conserved during the process of energy conversion between the elastic and electromagnetic fields.However,the energies are converted via the work terms,(βijkEi),kvj and(γijkHi),kvj,rather than via the energy terms,βijkEiejk andγijkHiejk.Second,for the generalized Villari effects,the electromagnetic energy can be treated as an extra contribution to the generalized elastic energy.Third,for electrostriction and magnetostriction,both effects are induced by the Maxwell stress.Moreover,their energies are purely electromagnetic and thus both have no converse effects.During these processes,the energies can be converted in three different ways,i.e.,via the non-potential forces,via the cross-dependence of the energy terms,and directly via the electromagnetic interactions of ions and electrons.In the end,the general coupling processes which involve elastic,electromagnetic fields and diffusion are also analyzed.The advantages of using this energy formulation are that it facilitates discussion of the conversion of energies and provides better physical insights into the mechanisms of these coupling effects.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted tremendous attention due to their outstanding performance within a short development.Radical molecules with unpaired single electrons have been widely used in energy-related fields,such as organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs),organic field-effect transistors(OFETs),organic and dye-sensitized solar cells,batteries,thermoelectric conversion devices,etc.However,as far as we know,there has never been a systemic collection and analysis of the application of radical molecules in PSCs.Herein,we summarized the role of the radical molecule on perovskite(passivate trap defects,enhance oxygen stability and make perovskite band-bending)and charge transport layer(improve conductivity and mobility,enhance oxygen stability,modulate work function and decrease by-product generating).Meanwhile,future directions of making full use of radical molecules in improving the performances of PSCs were envisioned.

Joint global constraint and Fisher discrimination based multi-layer dictionary learning for image classification

A multi-layer dictionary learning algorithm that joints global constraints and Fisher discrimination(JGCFD-MDL)for image classification tasks was proposed.The algorithm reveals the manifold structure of the data by learning the global constraint dictionary and introduces the Fisher discriminative constraint dictionary to minimize the intra-class dispersion of samples and increase the inter-class dispersion.To further quantify the abstract features that characterize the data,a multi-layer dictionary learning framework is constructed to obtain high-level complex semantic structures and improve image classification performance.Finally,the algorithm is verified on the multi-label dataset of court costumes in the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty,and better performance is obtained.Experiments show that compared with the local similarity algorithm,the average precision is improved by 3.34%.Compared with the single-layer dictionary learning algorithm,the one-error is improved by 1.00%,and the average precision is improved by 0.54%.Experiments also show that it has better performance on general datasets.
