Endometriosis refers to as an estrogen-dependent *** receptorβ(ERB),the main estrogen receptor subtype which is encoded by the estrogen receptor 2(ESR2)gene,can mediate the action of estrogen in *** selective estrogen receptor modulators can target the ERβ,they are not specific due to the wide distribution of ERβ.Recently,long noncoding RNAs have been implicated in ***,we aim to explore and validate the downstream regulatory mechanism of ERβ,and to investigate the potential role of long intergenic noncoding RNA 1018(liNC01018)as a nonhormonal treatment for *** study demonstrates that the expression levels of ESR2 and liNCo1018 are increased in ectopic endometrial tissues and reveals a significant positive correlation between the ESR2 and liNCo1018 ***,ERβdirectly binds to an estrogen response element located in the liNCO1018 promoter region and activates liNC01018 ***,ERβcan regulate the CDC25C/CDK1/CyclinB1 pathway and promote ectopic endometrial stromal cell proliferation via liNC01018 in *** with these findings,the knockdown of liNC01018 inhibits endometriotic lesion proliferation in *** summary,our study demonstrates that the ERβ/liNC01018/CDC25C/CDK1/CyclinB1 signaling axis regulates endometriosis progression.

Breast and lung cancers are the leading causes of mortality and most frequently diagnosed cancers in women and men,respectively,*** the antitumor activity of chalcones has been extensively studied,the molecular mechanisms of isoliquiritigenin analog 2',4',4-trihydroxychalcone(metochalcone;TEC)against carcinomas remain less well *** this study,we found that TEC inhibited cell proliferation of breast cancer BT549 cells and lung cancer A549 cells in a concentration-dependent *** induced cell cycle arrest in the S-phase,cell migration inhibition in vitro,and reduced tumor growth in ***,transcriptomic analysis revealed that TEC modulated the activity of the JAK2/STAT3 and P53 *** triggered the senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)by repressing the JAK2/STAT3 *** mechanism of metochalcone against breast cancer depended on the induction of SASP via deactivation of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway,highlighting the potential of chalcone in senescence-inducing therapy against carcinomas.

Defects engineering is an effective strategy for manipulating electromagnetic parameters and enhancing electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption ***,the relationship between them is not clear,especially in solid solution *** this work,a series of(Cr_(1-x)V_(x))_(2)AlC MAX phase solid solutions with layered structure were prepared via tuning the ratio of Cr and V to explore their EMW absorption *** experimental results indicated that the doping of V atoms at the M-site could effectively regulate its impedance matching and EMW absorption properties by introducing appropriate numbers of defects in the crystal,such as twin boundaries,dislocations and lattice *** them,if Cr:V=3:1,Cr_(1.5)V_(0.5)AlC,as radar absorption materials,could reach a strong reflection loss of-51.8 dB at the frequency of 12.8 GHz under an ultra-thin thickness of 1.3 *** reflection loss value could attain-10 dB in a wide frequency range of 2.7-18 GHz and thickness range of 1-5 *** addition,after high temperature and acid-alkali immersion treatment,this sample still had good EMW absorption capability,and the effective absorption bandwidth was enhanced from 2.3 to 2.6 GHz after concentrated acid immersion or 3.1 GHz after concentrated alkali *** work has great reference significance for the research and development of high-performance MAX-based EMW absorption materials in harsh environments.

The physical and chemical properties of feldspar and quartz are highly similar,thus they cannot be easily separated *** this work,the flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate(Na_(2)SiF_(6);SF)as a selective depressant was ***,the influence mechanism of SF on the selective flotation separation of feldspar and quartz was investigated via flotation tests,chemical analysis of flotation solution,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle *** results of the flotation tests show that feld spar and quartz without SF treatment have good *** SF treatment,feldspar still has good floatability,whereas quartz has significantly reduced *** solution chemical analysis shows that the functional group plays an important role in depressing the quartz is[SiF_(6)]^(2-).FTIR,XPS and contact angle analysis results show that[SiF_(6)]^(2-)is adsorbed only on the surface of ***,a thin hydrophilic SiOF layer is generated on the surface,which interferes with the adsorption of the collector on the surface of the *** phenomenon leads to a significant reduction in quartz's ***,SF has a good ability to separate feldspar from quartz by flotation.

The evolution of dislocation loops in austenitic steels irradiated with Fe^(+)is investigated using cluster dynamics(CD)simulations by developing a CD *** CD predictions are compared with experimental results in the *** number density and average diameter of the dislocation loops obtained from the CD simulations are in good agreement with the experimental data obtained from transmission electron microscopy(TEM)observations of Fe~+-irradiated Solution Annealed 304,Cold Worked 316,and HR3 austenitic steels in the *** CD simulation results demonstrate that the diffusion of in-cascade interstitial clusters plays a major role in the dislocation loop density and dislocation loop growth;in particular,for the HR3 austenitic steel,the CD model has verified the effect of temperature on the density and size of the dislocation loops.

Iron-sulfur clusters(ISC)are essential cofactors for proteins involved in various biological processes,such as electron transport,biosynthetic reactions,DNA repair,and gene expression *** assembly protein IscA1(or MagR)is found within the mitochondria of most ***(MagR)is a highly conserved A-type iron and iron-sulfur cluster-binding protein,characterized by two distinct types of iron-sulfur clusters,[2Fe-2S]and[3Fe-4S],each conferring unique magnetic *** forms a rod-like polymer structure in complex with photoreceptive cryptochrome(Cry)and serves as a putative magnetoreceptor for retrieving geomagnetic information in animal *** the N-terminal sequences of MagR vary among species,their specific function remains *** the present study,we found that the N-terminal sequences of pigeon MagR,previously thought to serve as a mitochondrial targeting signal(MTS),were not cleaved following mitochondrial entry but instead modulated the efficiency with which iron-sulfur clusters and irons are ***,the N-terminal region of MagR was required for the formation of a stable MagR/Cry ***,the N-terminal sequences in pigeon MagR fulfil more important functional roles than just mitochondrial *** results further extend our understanding of the function of MagR and provide new insights into the origin of magnetoreception from an evolutionary perspective.

Novel Shaped Sweeping Jet for Improved Film Cooling and Anti-Deposition Performance

The present study proposed a shaped sweeping jet(SJ) that possesses the merits of both SJ and shaped hole,which demonstrates significantly improved cooling effectiveness and anti-deposition *** to a classical 777 shaped hole,the shaped SJ exhibits a maximum enhancement of 70% in cooling effectiveness and a maximum reduction of 28% in particle deposition height,*** to the periodic oscillation of coolant jet and higher streamwise jet momentum,the shaped SJ can provide much wider coolant coverage and therefore sweep the adhesive particle away from the *** study is the first attempt to reconcile the performance of film cooling and particle anti-deposition simultaneously,which offers a promising design concept for future engine cooling.
