Considering neutron star heating by magnetic dipole radiation from ^3PF2 superfluid neutron vortices inside the star, we propose a neutron phase oscillation model between the normal neutron Fermi fluid and the ^3PF2 superfluid neutron vortices at the transition temperature of Ttrans = （2 - 3）× 10^8 K. With this model we can qualitatively explain most of the observations on pulsar glitches up to date.

Polyaluminium chloride (PAC) synthetic water was selected as a coagulant and kaolin suspension particles as objects to be removed. Online instruments such as the turbidimeter and particle counter were employed to monitor the flocculation process online and collect test data. The aim of the experiments was to study the dynamic distribution characteristics of suspension particles in the flocculation process. The 3D flow field in the reacting vessel was also simulated at different slow stirring speeds. The experiments showed that particle collision and aggregation in the flocculation process is in compliance with the Sutherland cluster aggregation model. This study further indicated that under appropriate hydrodynamic conditions, the distribution of turbulent flow in the reactor could be improved to increase the odds of effective particle collision and restrain the breakup of formed flocs by vortex shearing force. A good flocculation effect could therefore be produced.

The emergence of various new services has posed a huge challenge to the existing network *** improve the network delay and backhaul pressure,caching popular contents at the edge of network has been considered as a feasible ***,how to efficiently utilize the limited caching resources to cache diverse contents has been confirmed as a tough problem in the past *** this paper,considering the time-varying user requests and the heterogeneous content sizes,a user preference aware hierarchical cooperative caching strategy in edge-user caching architecture is *** divide the caching strategy into three phases,that is,the content placement,the content delivery and the content *** the content placement phase,a cooperative content placement algorithm for local content popularity is designed to cache contents *** the content delivery phase,a cooperative delivery algorithm is proposed to deliver the cached *** the content update phase,a content update algorithm is proposed according to the popularity of the ***,the proposed caching strategy is validated using the MovieLens dataset,and the results reveal that the proposed strategy improves the delay performance by at least 35.3%compared with the other three benchmark strategies.

Updating high-definition maps is imperative for the safety of autonomous ***,positional changes in lane lines are hard to be detected in a timely manner due to a limited number of expensive surveying vehicles over a large geo-graphic ***,a novel method is proposed to detect the geometric changes of lane lines using low-cost sensors,such as consumer-grade global navigation satellite system(GNSS)hardware receivers and *** proposed framework geometric change detection using low-cost sensors(GCD-L)and algorithm change segment compare(CSC),which are based on the lane width between the curb line and the adjacent leftmost lane line,can perceive the positional changes of the leftmost lane line on highway and expressway *** effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by evaluating it on a real-world typical urban ring road *** experimental results show that 71%detected change segments are valid with only two round crowdsourced maps.

In recent years,online reservation systems of country hotel have become increasingly popular in rural *** to accurately recommend the houses of country hotel to the users is an urgent problem to be *** at the problem of cold start and data sparseness in recommendation,a Hybrid Recommendation method based on Graph Embedding(HRGE)is ***,three types of network are built,including user-user network based on user tag,househouse network based on house tag,and user-user network based on user ***,by using the method of graph embedding,three types of network are respectively embedded into low-dimensional vectors to obtain the characterization vectors of ***,these characterization vectors are used to make a hybrid *** datasets in this paper are derived from the Country Hotel Reservation System in Guizhou *** experimental results show that,compared with traditional recommendation algorithms,the comprehensive evaluation index(F1)of the HRGE is improved by 20% and the Mean Average Precision(MAP)is increased by 11%.

Recently, a new bacterial top rot disease of maize has frequently appeared in many areas of Yunnan Province, China. The pathogen of the disease was identified as Klebsiella pneumoniae （KpC4）, which is well known to cause pulmonary and urinary diseases in humans and animals and occasionally exists as a harmless endophyte in plants. To evaluate the viru- lence of the maize pathogen to maize and mice, we inoculated maize and mice with routine inoculation and intraperitoneal injection respectively according to Koch＇s postulates. The results showed that KpC4 and the clinical strain K. pneumoniae 138 （Kp138） were all highly pathogenic to maize and mice and the strain re-isolated from diseased mice also caused typical top rot symptoms on maize by artificial inoculation. It is highlighting that a seemingly dedicated human/animal pathogen could cause plant disease. This is the first report of K. pneumoniae, an opportunistic pathogen of human/animal, could infect maize and mice. The findings serve as an alert to plant, medical and veterinarian scientists regarding a potentially dangerous bacterial pathogen infecting both plants and animals/humans. The maize plants in the field could serve as a reservoir for K. pneumoniae which might infect animals and probably humans when conditions are favorable. The new findings not only are significant in the developing control strategy for the new disease in Yunnan, but also serve as a starting point for further studies on the mechanism of pathogenesis and epidemiology of K. pneumoniae.

Feasibility study of thermo-compensated resistance brazing welding of C/C composites and T2 copper with AgCuTi filler metal

The dissimilar materials joining of C/C composites to T2 copper were performed successfully by thermo-compensated Resistance Brazing Welding(RBW)with AgCuTi filler *** interfacial microstructure,phase composition,and shear strength of the resistance brazed joints were investigated by the relevant analysis *** results indicated that the order affecting the shear strength of the C/C-Cu joint was welding current,welding pressure,and welding time in *** shear strength of backward thermo-compensated RBW was higher than that of forward thermo-compensated RBW due to the Peltier *** maximum shear strength of the C/C-Cu joint was 11.56 MPa in the optimized welding parameter with welding current of 8.0 kA,welding time of 60 ms,and welding pressure of 0.10 MPa by backward thermo-compensated *** interface structure at the resistance brazed joint with this welding parameter was C/C composites/TiC/Cu(s.s)/T2 *** TiC phase was verified at the interface of the brazed joint by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectrometer(EDS),and X-ray Diffraction(XRD).Considerable fractures occurred in the C/C composites and partial fracture occurred at the interfacial reaction layer.

Spectral computed tomography(CT)based on photon counting detectors can resolve the energy of every single photon interacting with the sensor layer and be used to analyze material attenuation information under different energy ranges,which can be helpful for material decomposition ***,there is a considerable amount of inherent quantum noise in narrow energy bins,resulting in a low signal-to-noise ratio,which can consequently affect the material decomposition performance in the image *** learning technology is currently widely used in medical image segmentation,denoising,and *** order to improve the results of material decomposition,we propose an attention-based global convolutional generative adversarial network(AGC-GAN)to decompose different materials for spectral ***,our network is a global convolutional neural network based on an attention mechanism that is combined with a generative adversarial *** global convolutional network based on the attention mechanism is used as the generator,and a patchGAN discriminant network is used as the ***,a clinical spectral CT image dataset is used to verify the feasibility of our proposed *** experimental results demonstrate that AGC-GAN achieves a better material decomposition performance than vanilla U-Net,fully convolutional network,and fully convolutional ***,the mean intersection over union,structural similarity,mean precision,PAcc,and mean F1-score of our method reach up to 87.31%,94.83%,93.22%,97.39%,and 93.05%,respectively.
