Impact of non-ideal UE hardware on cell-free massive MIMO network with centralized operation

This paper investigates the impact of non-ideal user equipment(UE) hardware on a cell-free(CF) massive MIMO(mMIMO) network with centralized operation under spatially correlated channels. The minimum mean-squared error(MMSE) estimator can be derived with the help of the generic non-ideal UE hardware model. It is demonstrated that even if the effective signal-to-noise ratio approaches infinity, pilot contamination and imperfect hardware can cause a non-zero estimation error floor. After that, a lower bound is determined for the ergodic uplink capacity of the centralized CF mMIMO network under non-ideal UE hardware. Moreover, the optimal receive combining vector is obtained to maximize the uplink spectral efficiency(SE). The maximum ratio(MR) and regularized zero-forcing(RZF) combining schemes are offered as alternatives in light of the computational complexity of the MMSE receiver. Comparing the RZF to the MMSE scheme under different levels of hardware impairments, our findings indicate that the RZF receiver suffers a negligible loss in total SE. For MR combining, a novel closed-form uplink achievable SE expression is obtained based on the MMSE estimator and the use-and-then-forget bounding technique. This expression gives vital insights into the achievable uplink performance with UE hardware impairments. Besides, for various hardware impairment factors, the impact of pilot sequence length on average sum SE is disclosed for different receive combining schemes. To increase the overall SE of the max-min fairness scheme, a heuristic fractional power control scheme with UE hardware impairments is developed, which can essentially avoid sacrificing the SE of other UEs while maximizing the SE of the unluckiest UE in the whole network. Finally,our theoretical performance analysis and power control algorithm are validated by simulation results, and fundamental design guidelines are provided for selecting hardware satisfying the practical UE requirements.

Background:Transitional economies in Southeast Asia—a distinct group of developing countries—have experienced rapid urbanization in the past several decades due to the economic transition that fundamentally changed the function of their economies,societies and the environment.Myanmar,one of the least developed transitional economies in Southeast Asia,increased urbanization substantially from 25%in 1990 to 31%in 2019.However,major knowledge gaps exist in understanding the changes in urban land use and land cover and environment and their drivers in its cities.Methods:We studied Yangon,the largest city in Myanmar,for the urbanization,environmental changes,and the underlying driving forces in a radically transitioned economy in the developing world.Based on satellite imagery and historic land use maps,we quantified the expansion of urban built-up land and constructed the land conversion matrix from 1990 through 2020.We also used three air pollutants to illustrate the changes in environmental conditions.We analyzed the coupled dynamics among urbanization,economic development,and environmental changes.Through conducting a workshop with 20 local experts,we further analyzed the influence of human systems and natural systems on Yangon’s urbanization and sustainability.Results:The city of Yangon expanded urban built-up land rapidly from 1990 to 2000,slowed down from 2000 to 2010,but gained momentum again from 2010 to 2020,with most newly added urban built-up land appearing to be converted from farmland and green land in both 1990–2000 and 2010–2020.Furthermore,the air pollutant concen-tration of CO decreased,but that of NO_(2)and PM_(2.5)increased in recent years.A positive correlation exists between population and economic development and the concentration of PM_(2.5)is highly associated with population,the economy,and the number of vehicles.Finally,the expert panel also identified other potential drivers for urbanization,including the extreme climate event of Cyclone Nargis,capital relocation,and globalization.Conclusio

Constructing of heterojunction was identified as a feasible way to improve photocatalytic activity of pho-tocatalyst.In this work,a n-p type Bi_(2)WO_(6)/AgInS_(2)S-scheme heterojunction was successfully prepared for organic pollutants degradation.This Bi_(2)WO_(6)/AgInS_(2)S-scheme heterojunction exhibited much higher pho-tocatalytic activity towards Rhodamine B(92.24%,expose to visible light for 60 min),norfloxacin(81.73%,expose to visible light for 90 min)and levofloxacin(87.46%,expose to visible light for 90 min)than pure Bi_(2)WO_(6)and pure AgInS_(2).Toxicity analysis indicated the low environmental toxicity of Rhodamine B degradation intermediates for Rye seeds and Sudangrass seeds germination and growth.Mechanism study displayed that AgInS_(2)and Bi_(2)WO_(6)work as the primary photocatalyst to form·O_(2)−and ·OH,respectively.The improved photocatalytic activity of the Bi_(2)WO_(6)/AgInS_(2)S-scheme heterojunction was due to the im-proved light response range and intensified carrier separation capability.Additionally,a S-scheme charge transfer mechanism including multiple charge transfer channels was proposed.This work could provide an effective strategy for organic pollutants degradation in wastewater.

In this paper,we address interesting soliton resolution,asymptotic stability of N-soliton solutions and the Painleve asymptotics for the Kundu-Eckhaus(KE)equation with nonzero boundary conditions iq_(t)+q_(xx)-2(l|q|^(2)-1)q+4β^(2)(lql^(4)-1)q+4iβ(lql^(2))_(x)q=0,q(x,0)=q_(0)(x)-±1,x→±∞.The key to proving these results is to establish the formulation of a Riemann-Hilbert(RH)problem associated with the above Cauchy problem and find its connection with the RH problem of the defocusing NLS equation.With the■-steepest descent method and the results of the defocusing NLS equation,we find complete leading order approximation formulas for the defocusing KE equation on the whole(x,t)half-plane including soliton resolution and asymptotic stability of N-soliton solutions in a solitonic region,Zakharov-Shabat asymptotics in a solitonless region and the Painlevéasymptotics in two transition regions.

Introduction:Among the most dangerous pollutants is PM_(2.5),which can directly pass through human lungs and move into the blood system.The use of nature-based solutions,such as increased vegetation cover in an urban landscape,is one of the possible solutions for reducing PM_(2.5) concentration.Our study objective was to understand the importance of green spaces in pollution reduction.Methods:Daily PM_(2.5) concentrations were manually collected at nine monitoring stations in Nanjing over a 534-day period from the air quality report of the China National Environmental Monitoring Center(CNEMC)to quantify the spatiotemporal change of PM_(2.5) concentration and its empirical relationship with vegetation and landscape structure in Nanjing.Results:The daily average,minimum,and maximum PM_(2.5) concentrations from the nine stations were 74.0,14.2,and 332.0μg m^(−3),respectively.Out of the 534 days,the days recorded as“excellent”and“good”conditions were found mostly in the spring(30.7%),autumn(25.6%),and summer(24.5%),with only 19.2% of the days in the winter.High PM_(2.5) concentrations exceeding the safe standards of the CNEMC were recorded predominately during the winter(39.3-100.0%).Our hypothesis that green vegetation had the potential to reduce PM_(2.5) concentration was accepted at specific seasons and scales.The PM_(2.5) concentration appeared very highly correlated(R2>0.85)with green cover in spring at 1-2 km scales,highly correlated(R2>0.6)in autumn and winter at 4 km scale,and moderately correlated in summer(R2>0.4)at 2-,5-,and 6-km scales.However,a non-significant correlation between green cover and PM_(2.5) concentration was found when its level was>75μg m^(−3).Across the Nanjing urban landscape,the east and southwest parts had high pollution levels.Conclusions:Although the empirical models seemed significant for spring only,one should not devalue the importance of green vegetation in other seasons because the regulations are often complicated by vegetation,meteorological conditions,and human activities.

Thermally-induced flow instabilities are a critical issue in multi-channel regenerative cooling systems.In particular,the interactions between Density-Wave Oscillations(DWO)and Flow Maldistribution(FMD)can result in complex and disastrous instability phenomena.This study investigates the instability behaviors of hydrocarbon fluid in a four-channel system with a constant heat flux ratio using both frequency-and time-domain methods.As the heat flux increases,the in-tube flow sequentially destabilizes in each channel and converges to new equilibrium states,leading to the emergence of FMD phenomena.This also causes the system eigenvalue to change repeatedly from negative to positive rather than increasing monotonically.Additionally,the system eigenvalues are between those of the two most unstable channels,indicating that the stability behavior of the entire system is dictated by the most unstable channel.After FMD occurs,flow oscillations are activated in channels with weak stability,and the in-tube flow is observed to evolve into various flow patterns,including stable flow,self-sustained oscillation,oscillation divergence,quasiperiodic oscillation,and oscillation excursion.The novel instability mode of oscillation excursion involves a spontaneous transition of operating states.It oscillates from an equilibrium state and then stabilizes at a new operational state after oscillation-induced redistribution.However,the newfound stable state may also be only temporary,with the in-tube flow regressing to the initial state,resulting in quasi-periodic oscillation.

Porous ceramic composites with directional microchannels from micrometer to dozens of micrometer levels have attracted more and more attention in various fields including aerospace,biomedicines,and thermal insulation due to their excellent fluid permeability,mechanical properties,etc.In this article,we summarize the recent directional porous ceramics developments including their main processing routes and respective properties.Meanwhile,the properties get from different processing routes have been com-pared and analyzed in terms of microstructures,mechanical properties,and permeability.Emphasis has been given to the deeper understanding which can allow one to control the microstructural features of these porous ceramic composites to obtain the desired characteristics.This work can provide a useful reference for the development and application of porous ceramic composites with directional microchan-nels.

Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder accompanied by movement disorders and neuroinflammatory injury.Anti-inflammatory intervention to regulate oxidative stress in the brain is beneficial for managing PD.However,traditional natural antioxidants have failed to meet the clinical treatment demands due to insufficient activity and sustainability.Herein,Cu-doping zeolite imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)nanozyme is designed to simulate Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase(SOD)by biomimetic mineralization.The nanozyme composite is then integrated into thermosensitive hydrogel(poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA-PEG-PLGA))to form an effective antioxidant system(Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel).The thermosensitive hydrogel incorporating nanozymes demonstrate distinct viscoelastic properties aimed at enhancing local nanozyme adhesion,prolonging nanozyme retention time,and modulating antioxidant activity,thus significantly improving the bioavailability of nanozymes.At the cellular and animal levels of PD,we find that Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel bypass the blood-brain barrier and efficiently accumulate in the nerve cells.Moreover,the Cu-ZIF@Hydrogel significantly alleviate the PD’s behavioral and pathological symptoms by reducing the neuroinflammatory levels in the lesion site.Therefore,the hydrogel-incorporating nanozyme system holds great potential as a simple and reliable avenue for managing PD.

The dynamic balance assessment during the assembly of the coordinator gyroscope significantly impacts the guidance accuracy of precision-guided equipment.In dynamic balance debugging,reliance on rudimentary counterweight empirical formulas persists,resulting in suboptimal debugging accuracy and an increased repetition rate.To mitigate this challenge,we present a multi-head residual graph attention network(ResGAT)model,designed to predict dynamic balance counterweights with high precision.In this research,we employ graph neural networks for interaction feature extraction from assembly graph data.An SDAE-GPC model is designed for the assembly condition classification to derive graph data inputs for the ResGAT regression model,which is capable of predicting gyroscope counterweights under small-sample conditions.The results of our experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in predicting dynamic gyroscope counterweight in its assembly process.Our approach surpasses current methods in mitigating repetition rates and enhancing the assembly efficiency of gyroscopes.
