Preparation and Evaluation of Novel Solid Chlorine Dioxide-based Disinfectant Powder in Single-pack

Objective To prepare and evaluate novel chlorine dioxide-based disinfectant powder in single-pack that is more convenient for use and transportation. Methods Orthogonal experiment was performed to determine the recipe of the disinfectant powder. Stability test, suspension quantitative bactericidal test, simulation field triM, and animal toxicity test were carded out to observe its bactericidal and toxicological effects. Results The orthogonal experiment showed that the type of water solution had no effect on the disinfectant powder and the best ratio of sodium chlorite to solid acid was 1：3. Ten grams of the disinfectant powder was fully dissolved in 20 mL water for 2 min, and diluted to 500 mL in water. After 5-10 min, the concentration of chlorine dioxide （CIO2） solution was 266 mg/L to 276 mg/L. After stored at 54℃ for 14 d, the average concentration of CIO2 was decreased by 5.03%. Suspension quantitative bactericidal test showed that the average killing logarithm （KL） value for both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in 100 mg/L CIO2 solution for 2 min was over 5.00. In simulation field triM, the average descending KL value for Escherichia coli in the solution containing 100 mg/L CIO2 for 5 min was over 3.00. The mouse acute LD50 in the solution 5 times exceeded 5000 mg/kg. The disinfectant powder was not toxic and irritative to rabbit skin and had no mutagenic effect on mouse marrow polychromatic erythrocytes （PCE）. Conclusion The stability and bactericidal efficacy of solid chlorine dioxide-based disinfectant powder in single-pack are good. The solution containing 100 mg/L CIO2 can kill vegetative forms of bacteria. The concentration of CIO2 on the disinfecting surface of objects is 100 mg/L. The disinfectant powder is not toxic and irritative.

Dear Editor,We reported a rare case of congenital lacrimal fistula with recurrent cellulitis secondary to fistulitis,mimicking acute *** lacrimal fistula is an anomalous development of the lacrimal drainage system manifested by a patent communicating with skin on one side and the canaliculus,lacrimal sac,or the duct on the other[1].Most congenital lacrimal fistulas are asymptomatic.

Superior compound coatings were prepared on CK45 steel surface by vanadium-nitrocarburizing duplex treatment in low-temperature salt *** this study,the microhardness,the phase constitution and the compositional distribution in the coatings prepared under different conditions were systematically *** results indicated that the reactions among activated vanadium,carbon and nitrogen atoms occurred on the steel surface,leading to the formation of compound coatings composed of outermost and compound *** mechanism for the formation of compound layer as well as the growth kinetics of the layer was also *** the duplex treatment,the wear and corrosion resistances of steel surface were significantly *** was found that the growth kinetics of compound layer obeyed the parabolic law,with the activation energy of 122.82 kJ·moL^(-1).

Removal of rubidium from brine by an integrated film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene/potassium copper ferricyanide

A novel integrated film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene/potassium copper ferricyanide(KCuFC/SPSG)was used for selectively extracting rubidium ion(Rb^(+))from *** form KCuFC/SPSG,the precursor film of sulfonated polysulfone/graphene(SPSG)was synthesized by phase conversion process,which was alternately immersed in 0.1 mol·L^(-1)CuSO_(4)/K_(4)[Fe(CN)_(6)]by in-situ adsorption coupled co-precipitation *** data such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer,Fourier transform infrared spectroscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscope,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,and energy dispersive spectroscopy all verified that abundant KCuFC were uniformly located on the *** resulting KCuFC/SPSG was used in film separation *** the solution was fed into the system,the Rb^(+)could be selectively adsorption by KCuFC/*** the saturation adsorption,0.5 mol·L^(-1)NH_(4)Cl/HCl was fed into the film cell,Rb^(+)could be quickly desorbed by ion-exchange between Rb^(+)and NH_(4)^(+)in the lattice of *** purpose of separating and recovering Rb^(+)from the brine can be achieved after the repeated *** effects of pH,adsorption time,and interferential ions on the adsorption capacity of Rb^(+)were investigated by batch *** adsorption behavior fits the pseudo-second order kinetic process,while KCuFC has a higher adsorption capacity(Langmuir maximum sorption 165.4 mg·g^(-1)).In addition,KCuFC/SPSG shows excellent selectivity for Rb^(+)even in complex brine ***/SPSG could maintain 93.5%extraction efficiency after five adsorption/desorption cycles.

Architectural singularity belongs to the Type II singularity,in which a parallel manipulator(PM)gains one or more degrees of freedom and becomes *** remaining permanently in a singularity are beneficial for linearto-rotary motion ***-Duffy(GD)platform is a mobile structure admitting a Bricard *** this paper,we present a coordinate-free approach to the design of generalized GD platforms,which consists in determining the shape and attachment of both the moving platform and the fixed *** generalized GD platform is treated as a combination of six coaxial single-loop mechanisms under the same *** to the inversion,hidden in the geometric structure of these single-loop mechanisms,the mapping from a line to a circle establishes the geometric transformation between the fixed base and the moving platform based on the center of inversion,and describes the shape and attachment of the generalized GD ***,the center of inversion not only identifies the location of rotation axis,but also affects the shape of the platform mechanism.A graphical construction of generalized GD platforms using inversion,proposed in the paper,provides geometrically feasible solutions of the manipulator design for the requirement of the location of rotation axis.

Biomolecular condensation, driven by multivalency, serves as a fundamental mechanism within cells, facilitating the formation of distinct compartments, including membraneless organelles that play essential roles in various cellular processes. Perturbations in the delicate equilibrium of condensation, whether resulting in gain or loss of phase separation, have robustly been associated with cellular dysfunction and physiological disorders. As ongoing research endeavors wholeheartedly embrace this newly acknowledged principle, a transformative shift is occurring in our comprehension of disease. Consequently, significant strides have been made in unraveling the profound relevance and potential causal connections between abnormal phase separation and various diseases. This comprehensive review presents compelling recent evidence that highlight the intricate associations between aberrant phase separation and neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, and infectious diseases. Additionally, we provide a succinct summary of current efforts and propose innovative solutions for the development of potential therapeutics to combat the pathological consequences attributed to aberrant phase separation.

A disk I/O optimized system for concurrent graph processing jobs

In order to analyze and process the large graphs with high cost efficiency,researchers have developed a number of out-of-core graph processing systems in recent years based on just one commodity *** the other hand,with the rapidly growing need of analyzing graphs in the real-world,graph processing systems have to efficiently handle massive concurrent graph processing(CGP)***,due to the inherent design for single graph processing job,existing out-of-core graph processing systems usually incur unnecessary data accesses and severe competition of I/O bandwidth when handling the CGP *** this paper,we propose GraphCP,a disk I/O optimized out-of-core graph processing system that efficiently supports the processing of CGP *** proposes a benefit-aware sharing execution model to share the I/O access and processing of graph data among the CGP jobs and adaptively schedule the graph data loading based on the states of vertices,which efficiently overcomes above challenges faced by existing out-of-core graph processing ***,GraphCP adopts a dependency-based future-vertex updating model so as to reduce disk I/Os in the future *** addition,GraphCP organizes the graph data with a Source-Sorted Sub-Block graph representation for better processing capacity and I/O access *** evaluation results show that GraphCP is 20.5×and 8.9×faster than two out-of-core graph processing systems GridGraph and GraphZ,and 3.5×and 1.7×faster than two state-of-art concurrent graph processing systems Seraph and GraphSO.

Experimental distillation of tripartite quantum steering with an optimal local filtering operation

Multipartite Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)steering admits multipartite entanglement in the presence of uncharacterized verifiers,enabling practical applications in semi-device-independent *** applications generally require stronger steerability,while the unavoidable noise weakens steerability and consequently degrades the performance of quantum information ***,we propose the local filtering operation that can maximally distill genuine tripartite EPR steering from N copies of three-qubit generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states,in the context of two semi-device-independent *** optimal filtering operation is determined by the maximization of assemblage *** and numerical results indicate the advantage of the proposed filtering operation when N is finite and the steerability of initial assemblages is ***,a proof-of-principle demonstration of two-copy distillation is realized with the optical *** advantage of the optimal local filtering operation is confirmed by the distilled assemblage in terms of higher assemblage fidelity with perfectly genuine tripartite steerable assemblages,as well as the greater violation of the inequality to witness genuine tripartite steerable *** results benefit the distillation of multipartite EPR steering in practice,where the number of copies of initial assemblages is generally finite.
