Bacteria-responsive programmed self-activating antibacterial hydrogel to remodel regeneration microenvironment for infected wound healing

There is still an urgent need to develop hydrogels with intelligent antibacterial ability to achieve on-demand treatment of infected wounds and accelerate wound healing by improving the regeneration microenvironment. We proposed a strategy of hydrogel wound dressing with bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial property and multiple nanozyme activities to remodel the regeneration microenvironment in order to significantly promote infected wound healing. Specifically, p H-responsive H2O2self-supplying composite nanozyme（MSCO） and p H/enzyme-sensitive bacteria-responsive triblock micelles encapsulated with lactate oxidase（PPEL） were prepared and encapsulated in hydrogels composed of L-arginine-modified chitosan（CA） and phenylboronic acid-modified oxidized dextran（ODP） to form a cascade bacteria-responsive self-activating antibacterial composite hydrogel platform. The hydrogels respond to multifactorial changes of the bacterial metabolic microenvironment to achieve on-demand antibacterial and biofilm eradication through transformation of bacterial metabolites, and chemodynamic therapy enhanced by nanozyme activity in conjunction with self-driven nitric oxide（NO） release. The composite hydrogel showed 'self-diagnostic' treatment for changes in the wound *** self-activating antibacterial therapy in the infection stage to self-adaptive oxidative stress relief and angiogenesis in the post-infection stage, it promotes wound closure, accelerates wound collagen deposition and angiogenesis, and completely improves the microenvironment of infected wound regeneration, which provides a new method for the design of intelligent wound dressings.

Waste heat recovery of high-temperature granules is one of the most promising sustainable energy supply and carbon reduction ways for industry.A moving bed indirect heat exchanger(MBIHE)with inner-migration was proposed for granular heat *** migration and the enhanced heat transfer induced by two types of agitators(i.e.,agitator with slanted stick A_(s)and with plow-shaped surface A_(p))in the MBIHE are analyzed based on DEM coupled with *** to the effective agitation,the average heat transfer coefficient in the granule side is enhanced to∼3 times compared to that without *** heat recovery efficiency in the moving bed reached more than 70%with the agitations of either A_(s)or A_(p).The heat efficiency of A_(s)is∼7%higher than that of A_(p),but with at least 60%greater rotational *** ensure reliable agitation,the A_(p)is suggested to be adopted in the MBIHE to induce granule migration.

The "International Standard of Traditional Chinese Medicine Techniques: The Operating Specifications for Chinese Medicine Enema is drawn up by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Capital Medical University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Xiamen Hospital in collaboration with domestic TCM universities and hospitals. The specification includes definition, operating process, points for attention and contraindications. It is targeted to provide reference for TCM providers at home and abroad with TCM background in clinical decision-making.

Evaluation of soil erosion vulnerability in Hubei Province of China using RUSLE model and combination weighting method

Soil erosion has been recognized as a critical environmental issue *** previous studies have primarily focused on watershed-scale soil erosion vulnerability from a natural factor perspective,there is a notable gap in understanding the intricate interplay between natural and socio-economic factors,especially in the context of spatial heterogeneity and nonlinear impacts of human-land *** address this,our study evaluates the soil erosion vulnerability at a provincial scale,taking Hubei Province as a case study to explore the combined effects of natural and socio-economic *** developed an evaluation index system based on 15 indicators of soil erosion vulnerability:exposure,sensitivity,and *** addition,the combination weighting method was applied to determine index weights,and the spatial interaction was analyzed using spatial autocorrelation,geographical temporally weighted regression and geographical *** results showed an overall decreasing soil erosion intensity in Hubei Province during 2000 and *** soil erosion vulnerability increased before 2000 and *** areas with high soil erosion vulnerability were mainly confined in the central and southern regions of Hubei Province(Xiantao,Tianmen,Qianjiang and Ezhou)with obvious spatial aggregation that intensified over *** factors(habitat quality index)had negative impacts on soil erosion vulnerability,whereas socio-economic factors(population density)showed substantial spatial variability in their *** was a positive correlation between soil erosion vulnerability and erosion intensity,with the correlation coefficients ranging from-0.41 and *** increase of slope was found to enhance the positive correlation between soil erosion vulnerability and intensity.

The human body is one of the most sophisticated material *** is still a considerable challenge to biomimic the“life-design”process to construct a part of“life”in ***,we mimicked the natural fibronectin(FN)fibrillogenesis system using ligand–receptor interaction-induced self-assembly to construct in situ artificial fibrous FN in vivo,based on exogenous FN mimic peptide(FNMP).We performed the in vivo study with a tumor-bearing mouse model,to which the particle formulated FNMP raw materials were delivered with high efficiency to the tumor site through intravenous(iv)*** the tumor,the presence of overexpressed integrin receptors on the cell surface induced the self-assembly of the FNMP into fibrous structures,thereby,creating an artificial fibrous ***,the FNMP-based artificial fibrous FN showed different biological functionality from the natural fibrous FN,inhibiting the growth and migration of cells,making our constructed FN able to inhibit tumor growth,invasion,and ***,this study opens an avenue for the precise construction of biomimetic materials for in vivo biomedical applications.

Long-term Evolution of Solar Activity and Prediction of the Following Solar Cycles

Solar activities have a great impact on modern high-tech systems,such as human aerospace activities,satellite communication and navigation,deep space exploration,and related scientific ***,studying the long-term evolution trend of solar activity and accurately predicting the future solar cycles are highly *** on the wavelet transform and empirical function fitting of the longest recorded data of the annual average relative sunspot number(ASN)series of 323 yr to date,this work decisively verifies the existence of the solar century cycles and confirms that its length is about 104.0 yr,and the magnitude has a slightly increasing trend on the timescale of several hundred *** on this long-term evolutionary trend,we predict solar cycles 25 and26 by using phase similar prediction *** for solar cycle 25,its maximum ASN will be about146.7±33.40,obviously stronger than solar cycle *** peak year will occur approximately in 2024,and the period will be about 11±1 *** for solar cycle 26,it will start around 2030,and reach its maximum between2035 and 2036,with maximum ASN of about 133.0±3.200,and period of about 10 yr.

The rational design of green chemical,low-cost,and highly efficient solid-state electrolytes for Li-metal anode is a promising but still challenging strategy for preventing Li dendrite growth and developing safe and ultralong cycle life Li-metal ***,a homogeneous composite solid polymer electrolyte(CSPE)is fabricated with water as the ideal dispersion medium,hectorite(Ht)as nanofiller,and poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)as the matrix,to guide uniform Li plating/*** from the merit of Ht can form uniformly dispersed nanosheets in water,the obtained CSPE inheres to a low melting point,robust mechanical property,and high Li^(+)transference ***,the fabricated Li symmetric battery using PEO-Ht-LiClO_(4)CSPE keeps cycling steadily for 4000 *** well demonstrated water-based CSPE paves the way for developing low-cost,environmentally friendly,and safe solid-state electrolytes for Li-metal batteries.

Higher alcohol synthesis directly from syngas is highly desirable as one of the efficient non-petroleum energy conversion ***0–Co^(O)catalysts showed great potential for this reaction,but the alcohol selectivity still needs to be improved and the crystal structure effect of Co^(O)on catalytic behaviors lacks ***,a series of tetrahedrally coordinated Co^(O)polymorphs were prepared by a thermal decomposition method,which consisted of wurtzite CoO and zinc blende CoO with varied *** diluting with SiO_(2),the catalyst showed excellent performance for higher alcohol synthesis with ROH selectivity of 45.8%and higher alcohol distribution of 84.1 wt%under the CO conversion of 38.0%.With increasing the content of wurtzite CoO,the Co^(0)/Co^(2+)ratio gradually increased in the spent catalysts,while the proportion of highly active hexagonal close packed cobalt in Co^(0)decreased,leading to first decreased then increased CO ***,the higher content of zinc blende CoO in fresh catalyst facilitated the retention of more Co^(2+)sites in spent catalysts,promoting the ROH selectivity but slightly decreasing the distribution of higher *** catalyst with 40%wurtzite CoO obtained the optimal performance with a space time yield toward higher alcohols of 7.9 mmol·gcat^(-1)·h^(-1).
