The major Facilitator Superfamily(mFS)is ubiquitous in living organisms and represents the largest group of secondary active membrane *** plants,significant research efforts have focused on the role of specific families within the mFS,particularly those transporting macronutrients(C,N,and P)that constitute the vast majority of the members of this *** mFS families remain less explored,although a plethora of additional substrates and physiological functions have been ***,the lack of a systematic approach to analyzing the mFS as a whole has obscured the high diversity and versatility of these ***,we present a phylogenetic analysis of all annotated mFS domaincontaining proteins encoded in the Arab/dops/s fA?a//ana genome and propose that this superfamily of transporters consists of 218 members,clustered in 22 *** reviewing the available information regarding the diversity in biological functions and substrates of Arab/dops/s mFS members,we provide arguments for intensified research on these membrane transporters to unveil the breadth of their physiological relevance,disclose the molecular mechanisms underlying their mode of action,and explore their biotechnological potential.

Objective: This systematic review aimed to critically analyze the literature to determine how high-intensity intermittent training(HIIT) affects recreational endurance runners in the short-and ***: Electronic databases were searched for literature dating from January 2000 to October 2015. The search was conducted using the key words "high-intensity intermittent training" or "high-intensity interval exercise" or "interval running" or "sprint interval training" and "endurance runners" or "long distance runners". A systematic approach was used to evaluate the 783 articles identified for initial review. Studies were included if they investigated HIIT in recreational endurance runners. The methodological quality of the studies was evaluated using the Physiotherapy Evidence Database(pedro) scale(for intervention studies) and the modified Downs and Black Quality Index(for cross-sectional studies).Results: Twenty-three studies met the inclusionary criteria for review. The results are presented in 2 parts: cross-sectional(n = 15) and intervention studies(n = 8). In the 15 cross-sectional studies selected, endurance runners performed at least 1 HIIT protocol, and the acute impact on physiological, neuromuscular, metabolic and/or biomechanical variables was assessed. Intervention studies lasted a minimum of 4 weeks, with 10 weeks being the longest intervention period, and included 2 to 4 HIIT sessions per week. most of these studies combined HIIT sessions with continuous run(CR) sessions; 2 studies' subjects performed HIIT ***: HIIT-based running plans(2 to 3 HIIT sessions per week, combining HIIT and CR runs) show athletic performance improvements in endurance runners by improving maximal oxygen uptake and running economy along with muscular and metabolic adaptations. To maximize the adaptations to training, both HIIT and CR must be part of training programs for endurance runners.

The scheduling of gasoline-blending operations is an important problem in the oil refining industry. Thisproblem not only exhibits the combinatorial nature that is intrinsic to scheduling problems, but alsonon-convex nonlinear behavior, due to the blending of various materials with different quality *** this work, a global optimization algorithm is proposed to solve a previously published continuous-timemixed-integer nonlinear scheduling model for gasoline blending. The model includes blend recipe optimi-zation, the distribution problem, and several important operational features and constraints. The algorithmemploys piecewise mcCormick relaxation （PmCR） and normalized multiparametric disaggregation tech-nique （NmDT） to compute estimates of the global optimum. These techniques partition the domain of oneof the variables in a bilinear term and generate convex relaxations for each partition. By increasing the num-ber of partitions and reducing the domain of the variables, the algorithm is able to refine the estimates ofthe global solution. The algorithm is compared to two commercial global solvers and two heuristic methodsby solving four examples from the literature. Results show that the proposed global optimization algorithmperforms on par with commercial solvers but is not as fast as heuristic approaches.

We perform a comparison in terms of accuracy and CPU time between second order BDF semi-Lagrangian and Lagrange-Galerkin schemes in combination with high order finite element *** numerical results show that for polynomials of degree 2 semi-Lagrangian schemes are faster than Lagrange-Galerkin schemes for the same number of degrees of freedom,however,for the same level of accuracy both methods are about the same in terms of CPU *** polynomials of degree larger than 2,Lagrange-Galerkin schemes behave better than semi-Lagrangian schemes in terms of both accuracy and CPU time;specially,for polynomials of degree 8 or ***,we have performed tests on the parallelization of these schemes and the speedup obtained is quasi-optimal even with more than 100 processors.

In recent years,deep learning methods have been introduced for segmentation and classi-fication of leaf lesions caused by pests and *** the commonly used approaches,convolutional neural networks have provided results with high *** purpose of this work is to present an effective and practical system capable of seg-menting and classifying different types of leaf lesions and estimating the severity of stress caused by biotic agents in coffee leaves using convolutional neural *** proposed approach consists of two stages:a semantic segmentation stage with severity calculation and a symptom lesion classification *** stage was tested separately,highlighting the positive and negative points of each *** obtained very good results for the severity estimation,suggesting that the model can estimate severity values very close to the real *** the biotic stress classification,the accuracy rates were greater than 97%.Due to the promising results obtained,an App for Android platform was developed and imple-mented,consisting of semantic segmentation and severity calculation,as well as symptom classification to assist both specialists and farmers to identify and quantify biotic stresses using images of coffee leaves acquired by smartphone.

AIm:To determine initial medication adherence in newly diagnosed glaucoma patients treated with anti-glaucoma ***:This retrospective and observational study included all patients diagnosed with glaucoma in the Primary Health Care units in Portugal during the years 2012 and 2013,which in consequence received a first prescription for anti-glaucoma *** was collected from electronic prescribing records of the primary care units and from pharmacy claims *** of glaucoma treatment and early discontinuation were measured,and the combination of(non)-initiation and early discontinuation accounted for initial medication(non)-***:A total of 3548 new glaucoma patients(40.1%male;59.9%female)were *** 1133(31.9%)patients were initially classified as non-users,since there was no pharmacy claim found for their first prescription for glaucoma ***,277(11.5%)patients early discontinued their treatment,acquiring only their first ***,the initial medication non-adherence rate was 39.7%since 1410 patients either didn’t initiate treatment or discontinued it ***:This study,reveals a major opportunity to improve glaucoma treatment and its control,since a large proportion of patients fail to engage with their prescribed therapy,which implies that implementation of individual or group strategies that enable patients with glaucoma to correctly perform their treatment is still needed.

Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency(EPI), an important cause of maldigestion and malabsorption, results from primary pancreatic diseases or secondarily impaired exocrine pancreatic function. Besides cystic fibrosis and chronic pancreatitis, the most common etiologies of EPI, other causes of EPI include unresectable pancreatic cancer, metabolic diseases(diabetes); impaired hormonal stimulation of exocrine pancreatic secretion by cholecystokinin(CCK); celiac or inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) due to loss of intestinal brush border proteins; and gastrointestinal surgery(asynchrony between motor and secretory functions, impaired enteropancreatic feedback, and inadequate mixing of pancreatic secretions with food). This paper reviews such conditions that have less straightforward associations with EPI and examines the role of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy(PERT). Relevant literature was identified by database searches. most patients with inoperable pancreatic cancer develop EPI(66%-92%). EPI occurs in patients with type 1(26%-57%) or type 2 diabetes(20%-36%) and is typically mild to moderate; by definition, all patients with type 3 c(pancreatogenic) diabetes have EPI. EPI occurs in untreated celiac disease(4%-80%), but typically resolves on a gluten-free diet. EPI manifests in patients with IBD(14%-74%) and up to 100% of gastrointestinal surgery patients(47%-100%; dependent on surgical site). With the paucity of published studies on PERT use for these conditions, recommendations for or against PERT use remain ambiguous. The authors conclude that there is an urgent need to conduct robust clinical studies to understand the validity and nature of associations between EPI and medical conditions beyond those with proven mechanisms, and examine the potential role for PERT.

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with mg by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PAmBE).AlInN was grown with an Al molar fraction of 0.80 by metal-modulated epitaxy(mmE)with a thickness of 180 nm on Si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the alloy without clustering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodoluminescence measurements revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect measurements indicated a maximum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The samples were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estimating the alloy composition and extracting the Fermi level by valence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBL)in LED *** varied the Al composition in the EBL from 0.84 to 0.96 molar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using SILVACO *** results from this study highlight the importance and capability of producing high-quality mg-doped p-AlInN layers through *** simulations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optimal for achieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.
