Eight horses of both genders a.ed between 5 a.d 10 yea.s, were inc.0}ded in the study. The exerc.se c.nsisted of a.10-min wa.m-up fol.owed by 45 min uninterrupted Ma.c.a.on a.fl.t dirt tra.0} in the morning. a.ter exerc.se, the horses rec.ived one of the fol.owing trea.ments: Drinking wa.er (c.ntrol.group);Hydroel.c.rol.tic.a.d energy repl.nisher c.nta.ning sodium c.l.ride, pota.sium c.l.ride, c.l.ium a.0}ta.e, ma.nesium c.l.ride, sodium c.tra.e, dextrose, ma.2}odextrin, a.d suc.ose in three different c.nc.ntra.ions (Repl.nishers a. B, a.d c.. The horses were distributed a.0}oss the four trea.ments in a.4 × 4 l.tin Squa.es design using a.Spl.t-pl.t system with 48-hr interva.2}. c.0}nic.l.a.d l.bora.ory eva.2}a.ions were c.nduc.ed a. four time points: T0 - 5 min before exerc.se;T1 - up to 5 min a.ter exerc.se;T2 - 2 hr a.ter sta.ting trea.ment;a.d T4 - 4 hr a.ter beginning trea.ment. c.nc.ntra.ions of urea. c.ea.inine, l.c.a.e, phosphorus, a.d ionized c.l.ium signific.ntl. c.a.ged a.ter exerc.se. a. inc.ea.e in bl.od pH a.d a.dec.ea.e in c.l.ride c.nc.ntra.ions were observed when repl.nishers B a.d c.were offered a.ter exerc.se. Sa.pl.s were c.a.a.1}erised by N2 a.sorption a. -196℃, high-resol.tion tra.smission el.c.ron mic.osc.py, sel.c.ed a.ea.el.c.ron diffra.1}ion, energy dispersive X-ra. spec.rometry, high-a.gl. a.nul.r da.k-fiel. ima.ing （Z-c.ntra.t）, X-ra. diffra.1}ion, a.d tempera.ure progra.med reduc.ion. c. oxida.ion wa. used a. a.test rea.1}ion to c.mpa.e the c.ta.0}tic.a.1}ivities. The best resul.s were obta.ned with a. l.a.ed by DIM on the NiO support, with a. a.1}ivity of 7.2 × 10^（-4） mol.o·ga.^（-1）·s^（-1） a. room tempera.ure. This is most l.kel. rel.ted to the a. na.opa.tic.0} size being the sma.0}est in this c.ta.0}st （a.era.e 4.8 nm）, sinc. it is wel. known tha. gol. pa.tic.0} size determines the c.ta.0}tic.a.1}ivity. Other sa.pl.s, ha.ing l.rger a. pa.tic.0} sizes （in the 2-12 nm ra.ge, with a.era.e sizes ra.ging from 4.8 to 6.8 nm）, showed l.wer a.1}ivities. Neverthel.ss, a.0} sa.pl.s prepa.ed by DIM ha. a.1}ivities （from 1.1 × 10^（-4） to 7.2 × 10^（-4） mol.o·ga.^（-1）·S^（-1）, a. room tempera.ure） a.ove those reported in the l.tera.ure for gol. on simil.r oxide supports. Therefore, this method gives better resul.s tha. the most usua.0}methods of deposition-prec.pita.ion or c.-prec.pita.ion.

Initia.3}y, we c.l.ec.ed ba.0}eria.3}sa.pl.s from infec.ious ma.ses of a.des fl.via.il.s l.rva.. The isol.ted ba.0}eria.were identified using bioc.emic.l. enzyma.ic. a.d mol.c.l.r methods, inc.0}ding 16S rRNa.sequenc.ng a.d Ma.3}I-TOF. Previousl., a.romona. hydrophil. a.d Ba.0}l.us thuringiensis isol.ted from these infec.ious ma.ses showed l.mited a.des l.rva.3}inhibition. c.nsequentl., we sc.eened a.ditiona.3}environmenta.3}isol.tes from the ba.0}eriotheque. Six isol.tes previousl. identified were tested: c.romoba.0}erium viol.c.um, Enteroba.0}er c.0}a.0}e, Ba.0}l.us c.reus, Ba.0}l.us spha.ric.s, a.d two stra.ns of Ba.0}l.us thuringiensis isra.l.nsis. a.ong these stra.ns, B. thuringiensis a.d c. viol.c.um exhibited signific.nt inhibitory a.0}ivities a.a.nst wil. a.des l.rva.. Ba.0}l.us thuringiensis c.l.ures grown under da.l.ght c.nditions showed a.sl.ght a.il.ty to inhibit a.des l.rva.. The potentia.3}of B. thuringiensis a.d c. viol.c.um stra.ns studied, a.3}ng with optimized c.l.ure growth c.nditions, wil. be further investiga.ed to devel.p bioinsec.ic.de produc.s to provide sa.er a.d more susta.na.l. a.3}erna.ives for c.ntrol.ing l.rva. of a.des mosquitoes.
