Semitransparent organic photovoltaics(STOPVs)have gained wide attention owing to their promising applications in building-integrated photovoltaics,agrivoltaics,and floating *** semiconductors with high charge carrier mobility usually have planar and conjugated structures,thereby showing strong absorption in visible *** this work,a new concept of incorporating transparent inorganic semiconductors is proposed for high-performance ***(I)thiocyanate(CuSCN)is a visible-transparent inorganic semiconductor with an ionization potential of 5.45 eV and high hole *** transparency of CuSCN benefits high average visible transmittance(AVT)of *** energy levels of CuSCN as donor match those of near-infrared small molecule acceptor BTP-eC9,and the formed heterojunction exhibits an ability of exciton *** mobility of CuSCN contributes to a more favorable charge transport channel and suppresses charge *** control STOPVs based on PM6/BTP-eC9 exhibit an AVT of 19.0%with a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 12.7%.Partial replacement of PM6 with CuSCN leads to a 63%increase in transmittance,resulting in a higher AVT of 30.9%and a comparable PCE of 10.8%.

A Study on the Impact of Chemical Structure on the Evolution of Aggregate Structure in Fiber-shaped High Density Polyethylene Vitrimer

Vitrimers have emerged as a prominent research area in the field of polymer *** of the studies have focused on synthesizing polymers with versatile dynamic crosslinking structures,while the impact of chemical structure on aggregate structure of vitrimers,particularly during polymer processing,remains insufficiently *** present study employed commercial maleic anhydride-grafted-high density polyethylene(M-g-HDpe)as the matrix and hexanediol as the crosslinker to facilely obtain fiber-shaped HDpe vitrimers through a reaction extrusion and post-drawing *** chemical structure characterization,morphology observation,thermal and mechanical properties investigation,as well as aggregate structure analysis,this work revealed the influence of dynamic bonds on the formation of aggregate structures during fiber-shaped vitrimers processing.A small amount of dynamic bonds in HDpe restricts the motion of pe chain during melt-extruding and post-drawing,resulting in a lower orientation of the pe ***,lamellar growth and fibril formation during post-drawing at high temperature are enhanced to some extent due to the competition between dynamic bond and chain *** uneven morphology of fibershaped HDpe vitrimers can be attributed to the stronger elastic effect brought by dynamic bonding,which plays a more dominant role in determining the mechanical properties of fiber-shaped vitrimers compared to aggregate *** Vitrimers have emerged as a prominent research area in the field of polymer *** of the studies have focused on synthesizing polymers with versatile dynamic crosslinking structures,while the impact of chemical structure on aggregate structure of vitrimers,particularly during polymer processing,remains insufficiently *** present study employed commercial maleic anhydride-grafted-high density polyethylene(M-g-HDpe)as the matrix and hexanediol as the crosslinker to facilely obtain fiber-shap

Deterministic Learning-Based Neural PID Control for Nonlinear Robotic Systems

Traditional proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controllers have achieved widespread success in industrial ***,the nonlinearity and uncertainty of practical systems cannot be ignored,even though most of the existing research on PID controllers is focused on linear ***,developing a PID controller with learning ability is of great significance for complex nonlinear *** article proposes a deterministic learning-based advanced PID controller for robot manipulator systems with *** introduction of neural networks(NNs)overcomes the upper limit of the traditional PID feedback mechanism’s *** proposed control scheme not only guarantees system stability and tracking error convergence but also provides a simple way to choose the three parameters of PID by setting the proportional *** the partial persistent excitation(pe)condition,the closed-loop system unknown dynamics of robot manipulator systems are accurately approximated by *** on the acquired knowledge from the stable control process,a learning PID controller is developed to further improve overall control performance,while overcoming the problem of repeated online weight *** studies and physical experiments demonstrate the validity and practicality of the proposed strategy discussed in this article.

12.6μm-Thick Asymmetric Composite Electrolyte with Superior Interfacial Stability for Solid-State Lithium-Metal Batteries

Solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs)show great promise in terms of high-energy-density and high-safety ***,there is an urgent need to address the compatibility of electrolytes with high-voltage cathodes/Li anodes,and to minimize the electrolyte thickness to achieve highenergy-density of ***,we develop an ultrathin(12.6μm)asymmetric composite solid-state electrolyte with ultralight areal density(1.69 mg cm^(−2))for *** electrolyte combining a garnet(LLZO)layer and a metal organic framework(MOF)layer,which are fabricated on both sides of the polyethylene(pe)separator separately by tape *** pe separator endows the electrolyte with flexibility and excellent mechanical *** LLZO layer on the cathode side ensures high chemical stability at high *** MOF layer on the anode side achieves a stable electric field and uniform Li flux,thus promoting uniform Li^(+)*** to the well-designed structure,the Li symmetric battery exhibits an ultralong cycle life(5000 h),and high-voltage SSLMBs achieve stable cycle *** assembled pouch cells provided a gravimetric/volume energy density of 344.0 Wh kg^(−1)/773.1 Wh L^(−1).This simple operation allows for large-scale preparation,and the design concept of ultrathin asymmetric structure also reveals the future development direction of SSLMBs.

Controlled Twill Surface Structure Endowing Nanofiber Composite Membrane Excellent Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

Inspired by the Chinese Knotting weave structure,an electromagnetic interference(EMI)nanofiber composite membrane with a twill surface was ***(vinyl alcohol-co-ethylene)(Pva-co-pe)nanofibers and twill nylon fabric were used as the matrix and filter templates,respectively.A Pva-co-peMXene/silver nanowire(Pva-co-pe-MXene/AgNW,PM_(x)Ag)membrane was successfully prepared using a template *** the MXene/AgNW content was only 7.4 wt%(PM_(7.4)Ag),the EMI shielding efficiency(SE)of the composite membrane with the oblique twill structure on the surface was 103.9 dB and the surface twill structure improved the EMI by 38.5%.This result was attributed to the pre-interference of the oblique twill structure in the direction of the incident EM wave,which enhanced the probability of the electromagnetic waves randomly colliding with the MXene ***,the internal reflection and ohmic and resonance losses were *** PM_(7.4)Ag membrane with the twill structure exhibited both an outstanding tensile strength of 22.8 MPa and EMI SE/t of 3925.2 dB cm^(-1).Moreover,the PM_(x)Ag nanocomposite membranes demonstrated an excellent thermal management performance,hydrophobicity,non-flammability,and performance stability,which was demonstrated by an EMI SE of 97.3%in a high-temperature environment of 140℃.The successful preparation of surface-twill composite membranes makes it difficult to achieve both a low filler content and a high EMI SE in electromagnetic shielding *** strategy provides a new approach for preparing thin membranes with excellent EMI properties.

Finite-size-induced non-Hermitian phase transitions in real space

While non-Hermiticity provokes intriguing phenomena without Hermitian counterparts, e.g., the skin effect and the breakdown of bulk-boundary correspondence, attracting extensive attention both in fundamental physics and device engineering, the role of finite sizes therein remains elusive. Here, we propose a class of finite-size-induced non-Hermitian phase transitions, relying upon higher-order topological invariants associated with real-space wave functions. The phase diagrams for general non-Hermitian chiral models are further acquired to demonstrate our topological definition. Such phase transitions are elucidated qualitatively by an effective intercell coupling alteration that depends on finite sizes in respective directions. Besides, we mimic these phenomena by analogizing the circuit Laplacian in finite-size electric circuits with nonreciprocal couplings. The resultant admittance spectra agree with our theoretical predictions. Our findings shed light on the finite-size mechanism of non-Hermitian topological phase transitions and pave the way for applications in switching and sensing.

Detection of internal crack growth in polyethylene pipe using guided wave ultrasonic testing

Despite the success of guided wave ultrasonic inspection for internal defect detection in steel pipes,its application on polyethylene(pe)pipe remains relatively *** growth of internal cracks in pe pipe severely affects its pressure-holding capacity,hence the early detection of internal cracks is crucial for effective pipeline maintenance *** study extends the scope of guided wave-based ultrasonic testing to detect the growth of internal cracks in a natural gas distribution pe *** experiments and a finite element model were planned to study the wave-crack interaction at different stages of axially oriented internal crack growth with a piezoceramic transducer-based setup arranged in a pitch-catch *** dispersion analysis supplemented with preliminary experiments was performed to isolate the optimal inspection frequency,leading to the selection of the T(0,1)mode at 50-kHz for the investigation.A transmission index based on the energy of the T(0,1)mode was developed to trace the extent of simulated crack *** findings revealed an inverse linear correlation between the transmission index and the crack depth for crack growth beyond 20%crack depth.

lncRNA ZNF593-AS inhibits cardiac hypertrophy and myocardial remodeling by upregulating Mfn2 expression

lncRNA ZNF593 antisense(ZNF593-AS)transcripts have been implicated in heart failure through the regulation of myocardial *** decreased transcriptional activity of ZNF593-AS has also been detected in cardiac ***,the function of ZNF593-AS in cardiac hypertrophy remains ***,we report that the expression of ZNF593-AS reduced in a mouse model of left ventricular hypertrophy and cardiomyocytes in response to treatment with the hypertrophic agonist phenylephrine(pe).In vivo,ZNF593-AS aggravated pressure overload–induced cardiac hypertrophy in knockout *** contrast,cardiomyocyte-specific transgenic mice(ZNF593-AS MHC-Tg)exhibited attenuated TAC-induced cardiac *** vitro,vector-based overexpression using murine or human ZNF593-AS alleviated pe-induced myocyte hypertrophy,whereas gapmeR-induced inhibition aggravated hypertrophic *** using RNA-seq and gene set enrichment analyses,we identified a link between ZNF593-AS and oxidative phosphorylation and found that mitofusin 2(Mfn2)is a direct target of ***593-AS exerts an antihypertrophic effect by upregulating Mfn2 expression and improving mitochondrial ***,it represents a promising therapeutic target for combating pathological cardiac remodeling.

Sharper Hardy Uncertainty Relations on Signal Concentration in Terms of Linear Canonical Transform

Linear canonical transform is of much significance to optics and information science. Hardy uncertainty principle, like Heisenberg uncertainty principle, plays an important role in various fields. In this paper, four new sharper Hardy uncertainty relations on linear canonical transform are derived. These new derived uncertainty relations are connected with the linear canonical transform parameters and indicate new insights for signal energy ***, for certain transform parameters, e.g. b = 0, these new proposed uncertainty relations break the traditional counterparts in signal energy concentration, as will result in new physical interpretation in terms of uncertainty principle. Theoretical analysis and numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of these new relations.

High-performanceα-Diimine Nickel Complexes for Facile Access of pe Elastomers with Exceptional Material Properties

For practicable elastomeric polyethylene,achieving high catalyst thermal stability and activity,along with precise control of polymer properties such as branching density,molecular weights,and distribution,is crucial but *** this study,two sets of symmetricalα-diimine nickel complexes,each comprising four nickel bromide or chloride complexes,were synthesized and investigated their performance for ethylene polymerization under various reaction *** activation with either Et2AlCl or MMAO cocatalysts,these complexes displayed not only high activity but also generated high molecular weight polyethylenes with controlled polydispersity and a substantial number of *** catalyst with the least steric hindrance displayed the remarkable high activity(up to 1.2×10^(7) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1)).Notably,nickel bromides demonstrated higher activity compared to their chloride *** investigation into the effect of reaction temperature on catalytic performance revealed that NiBrMe-MMAO system displayed high thermal stability(activity up to 2.51×10^(6) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1) at 100℃)and consistently yielded high polymer molecular weights with narrow polydispersity over a broad temperature range of 30-100℃.Of significant note,mechanical analysis of the resulting polyethylene demonstrated excellent ultimate tensile strength and high strain at ***,the polyethylene sample prepared at 100℃exhibited ultimate tensile strength up to 10 MPa with 1863%maximum strain at break and a strain recovery of up to 54.9%after ten cycles at a fixed strain of 300%,indicating excellent material properties of prepared thermoplastic polyethylene elastomers(Tpe).
