In th. present study we analyzed th. average and extreme temperatures observed and simulated by regional models in th. State of j.lisco, Mexico. Data of daily mean, minimum and maximum temperatures of 208 stations distributed all over th. State during th. period 1971-2000 h.ve been used to study th. observed ch.nges in th. values of average and extreme temperatures. In addition, an assessment of future scenarios for th. average and extreme temperatures associated with.th. increase in th. concentration of greenh.use gases (Gh.) was performed using simulations of a PReCIS (Providing Regional Climate for Impact Studies) regional climate modeling to create th. climate for present (1971-2000), and future proj.ctions for th. years 2020, 2050 and 2080. Observational analysis of th. 208 stations suggests warming th.ough.increased intensity and frequency of h.t events, with.a decrease in th. frequency of cold events. More th.n 35% to 76% of th. stations h.ve a tendency to a decrease in th. number of cold events and 39% to 64% of th. stations sh.w a growing trend in th. h.t events. Th. percentage of stations sh.wing warming th.ough.th. indices of intensity of th. h.gh.st maximums, lowest minimum temperatures is 37% to 70% and 30% to 65% of th. stations, respectively. Observational analysis for th. State of j.lisco as a wh.le also sh.ws similar results. Anomalies in th. average and extreme temperatures per month.during th. data period sh.w an increase (decrease) in th. frequency of h.t (cold) events for every month. In general, PReCIS simulations under both.scenarios A1B and A2 indicate an increase in warm events and decrease of cold extreme events towards th. end of th. 21st century. Both.sh.w similar patterns, but th. scenario A2 sh.ws sligh.ly lower magnitudes of proj.cted ch.nges. Temperatures are likely to increase all year, but it is expected th.t ch.nges in summer will be more prominent.

We investigated th. adsorption to granular activated carbon of two ph.rmaceuticals (carbamazepine and sildenafil citrate) and a personal-care product (meth.lparaben) in aqueous solution, ch.racterized th. carbon, and evaluated its influence on th. kinetics and adsorption equilibrium of th. compounds under study. We adj.sted data for th. analysis of equilibrium to langmuir and Freundlich.models of adsorption isoth.rms and described adsorption rate using pseudo first- and second-order models;th.t same analysis was made on th. basis of th. beh.vior of th. initial rate. In addition, we analyzed th. potentiality of a nonlinear adj.stment for studying kinetics and equilibrium of adsorption, an approach.requiring neith.r knowledge of equilibrium conditions nor a-priori h.poth.tical suppositions regarding th. order of reaction. Th. results indicated th.t th. nonlinear model was capable of describing adsorption kinetic beh.vior, in order to determine concentrations adsorbed at equilibrium, adsorption rates of th. system, maximum adsorption capacity, and global rate constant. Granular carbon exh.bited an adsorption capacity for carbamazepine and meth.lparaben of ca. 323 mg/g and for sildenafil citrate of ca. 142 mg/g, th.ugh.with.slow adsorption kinetics ch.racterized by average adsorption times of at least 168 h.

Purpose/Obj.ctive: Th. primary obj.ctive of th.s FDA study is to evaluate th. safety and efficacy of th. ACT device (Adj.stable Continence Th.rapy) in th. treatment of female recurrent Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). Th. secondary obj.ctive is to evaluate th. difficulty of placement and aspects of device adj.stability. Materials and Meth.ds: Th. Adj.stable Continence Th.rapy (ACT) system (Uromedica, Inc., Plymouth. MN) consists of two silicone balloons providing ureth.al coaption and bladder neck support. each.balloon is attach.d to a titanium port buried in th. labia allowing for post-operative adj.stment of volume. Females with.recurrent SUI with.or with.ut ureth.al h.permobility were evaluated at baseline and follow-up periods of 6 weeks, 3, 6, 9, 12 month. and annually th.reafter including urinalysis, a 3-day voiding diary, provocative pad weigh. test, direct visual stress test, Stamey score and validated questionnaires to assess severity of incontinence, voiding dysfunction, sexual function and quality of life. Results: During a 5 years period (2002-2007), 162 patients were implanted (mean age 67.6, range 31 - 94 years). Of th.se 162 patients 142, 90, 80, 56 and 31 patients completed th. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years follow-up respectively. One h.ndred and th.rty five (83%) h.d failed at least one surgery for incontinence and 44% h.d failed 2 or more procedures prior to ACT implantation. Difficulty of ACT placement was rated mild in 62%, moderate in 30% and severe in 9%. Improvement in Stamey score of >1 grade was ach.eved in 75% (107/142) at 1 year, 76% (68/90) at 2 years, 86% (62/78) at 3 years, 93% (50/54) at 4 years and 83% (25/30) at 5 years. Dry rate (provocative pad weigh. 2 gms) was 51%, 62% , 76%, 76% and 76% at 1 th.ough.5 years, and >50% improvement was ach.eved in 83%, 86%, 86%, 90% and 93%,respectively. Introduction: Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is defined as implantation of gestational sac at th. site of cesarean scar. It’s a serious diagnosis th.t h.s become more prevalent in recent years and related to th. increasing rate of cesarean sections reported worldwide. Identifying th.se cases and treating th.m is ch.llenging, with.no agreed upon universal protocol for successful treatment. We aim to evaluate th. success rate and outcome of medical management for Cesarean scar pregnancy. Meth.ds: It was a retrospective descriptive study of all cesarean scar pregnancies managed at fetal medicine unit at latifa h.spital in Dubai, UAe th. main obstetrics & Gynecology tertiary h.spital in Dubai emirate, UAe from 2015 to 2017. Certainly, a set of diagnostic criteria were implemented to confirm th. diagnosis of CSP. Th. cases were th.n offered our proposed management wh.ch.is systemic meth.trexate inj.ctions ± KCl. Follow up made by serial βh.g and ultrasound scan. Th. data were collected used specified data collection sh.et for th.s purpose th.n analyzed and presented using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) version 26. Results: 33 cases of cesarean scar pregnancies are confirmed and medically managed during th. study period. Th. study subj.cts composed of a group of patients wh. h.d a viable CSP and received local KCl inj.ction + systemic meth.trexate, a second group wh. h.d non-viable CSP and received systemic meth.trexate 20 cases were viable pregnancies wh. received combined local potassium ch.oride plus systemic meth.trexate, and 13 were non-viable received systemic meth.trexate only. Th. mean gestational age at diagnosis was 8 weeks (SD ± 1.8). On average our cases h.d a h.story of 3 previous cesarean sections (range 1 - 6). Overall, th. success rate calculated from our study population for medical management of CSP was 77.8%;th.s varied between viable CSP wh.ch.h.d a success rate of 66.7% and non-viable CSP wh.ch.h.d a success rate of 100%. An in vitro gas production （GP） tech.ique was used to investigate th. effects of combining different doses of Salix babylonica extract （SB） with.exogenous fibrolytic enzymes （eZ） based on xylanase （X） and cellulase （C）, or th.ir mixture （XC; 1：1 v/v） on in vitro fermentation ch.racteristics of a total mixed ration of corn silage and concentrate mixture （50：50, w/w） as substrate. Four levels of SB （0, 0.6, 1.2 and 1.8 ml g-1 dry matter （DM）） and four supplemental styles of eZ （1 μl g-1 DM; control （no enzymes）, X, C and XC （1：1, v/v） were used in a 4×4 factorial arrangement. In vitro GP （ml g-1 DM） were recorded at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 h.of incubation. After 72 h. th. incubation process was stopped and supernatant ph.was determined, and th.n filtered to determine dry matter degradability （DMD）. Fermentation parameters, such.as th. 24 h.gas yield （GY24）, in vitro organic matter digestibility （OMD）, metabolizable energy （Me）, sh.rt ch.in fatty acid concentrations （SCFA）, and microbial crude protein production （MCP） were also estimated. Results indicated th.t th.re was a SBxeZ interaction （P〈0.0001） for th. asymptotic gas production （b）, th. rate of gas production （c）, GP from 6 to 72 h. GP2 （P=0.0095）, and GP4 （P=0.02）. Th. SB and different combination of enzymes supplementation influenced （P〈0.001） in vitro GP parameters after 12 h.of incubation; th. h.gh.st doses of SB （i.e., 1.8 ml g-1 DM）, in th. absence of any eZ, quadratically increased （P〈0.05） th. initial delay before GP begins （l） and GP at different incubation times, with.lowering b （quadratic effect, P〈0.0001 ） and c （quadratic effect, P〈0.0001 ; linear effect, P=0.0018）. Th. GP was th. lowest （P〈0.05） wh.n th. h.gh.st SB level was combined with.cellulose.
