This paper presents a study on c.2 atmospheric.transformation whic. was reac.ed direc.ly with lithium hydroxide solution and metallic.lithium. This solution was obtained through the reac.ion between metallic.lithium and deionized water where hydrogen is produc.d and by exposing the metal at ambient c.nditions. In the transformation proc.ss, atmospheric.c.2 gas reac.s direc.ly with LiOH solution, in both c.ses, the c.2 transformation kinetic. was different. For this purpose, reac.ions between c.2 and LiOH solution were c.rried out under c.ntrolled temperature and the sec.nd proc.ss only with metallic.lithium, whic. was exposed at room temperature, however, in these two proc.sses lithium c.rbonate oxide was formed and identified. Ac.ording to the results, the effic.enc. in c.2 transformation is a func.ion of temperature value whic. was variable until c.mpletely obtaining the by-produc., its XRD c.arac.erization indic.ted the formation only of Li2c.3 in both proc.dures. Under laboratory c.nditions lithium c.mpounds selec.ively reac.ed with c.2. In the same way, there is an alternative proc.dure to obtain LiOH and Li2c.3 for different applic.tions in various areas.

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) negatively affec. quality of life, c.using pain and restric.ed jaw movements. This study evaluates the effec.iveness of Transc.taneous Elec.ric.l nerve Stimulation (TEnS) on TMD patients before orthodontic.treatment at the Juarez Autonomous University of Tabasc.. A quantitative, quasi-experimental study was c.nduc.ed with 30 patients who met the inc.usion c.iteria: aged 18 to 65 years, with TMJ pain symptoms, diagnosed with temporomandibular disorders using the Helkimo index, and who had provided informed c.nsent for the study. The range of mandibular movement and the Visual Analog Sc.le (VAS) were measured to rec.rd values before therapy. The elec.rodes of the TEnS therapy were positioned on both sides of the jaw in the preauric.lar area and the masseter musc.e, the therapy was administered for 40 minutes, utilizing a frequenc. of 2 - 4 Hz and a pulse duration of 300 mic.osec.nds. Following this, the range of mandibular movement and the VAS were reassessed to evaluate the outc.mes., signific.ntly improved maximum mouth opening (37.7 ± 6.4 mm to 44.6 ± 5.88 mm), right laterality (3.86 ± 1.57 mm to 5.43 ± 1.21 mm), left laterality (3.13 ± 1.63 mm to 4.53 ± 1.61 mm), protrusion (4.01 ± 1.7 mm to 5.36 ± 1.32 mm), and pain perc.ption (4.56 ± 2.045 to 2.03 ± 1.5) (P nS therapy enhanc.s mandibular movement and reduc.s pain, making it a well-tolerated, non-invasive c.mplementary treatment for TMD.

The improvement of mic.obial c.arac.erization has inc.eased the c.mprehension of mic.obial population and their ability in the mic.obiologic.l metal dissolution. Bioleac.ing proc.sses have been expanded to use mic.oorganisms for the rec.very of metals from ores and wastes. This study introduc.s Palc. mine tailings pond in peru whic. turned into ac.d mine drainage (AMD). AMD is a sourc. of mic.obial c.mmunities whose mic.oorganisms may support the aqueous extrac.ive metallurgy for metal rec.very. Four samples of AMD were c.llec.ed from different loc.tions and the elemental c.arac.erization showed c.nc.ntrations of metals, suc. as c., Zn, Al, Mn, and Fe. The pH of the samples showed variation between 1.9 - 6.8. Twenty-one mic.oorganisms were isolated and selec.ed ac.ording the c.ll morphology. 16s rRnA gene sequenc.s identified five spec.es of whic. three belong to the bac.erial kingdom and two to the Fungi kingdom. Two of the bac.erial spec.es were ferrous ion oxidizing bac.eria, identified as Ac.dithiobac.llus ferriphilus and Ac.dithiobac.llus ferridurans;and the other one a ferric.ion reduc.ng bac.eria identified as Ac.diphilium ac.dophilum. The fungi spec.es identified were Rhodotorula sinensis and Exophiala xenobiotic., a filamentous fungus isolated for the first time from an AMD.

We report, for the first time to our knowledge, an on-c.ip mode-loc.ed laser diode(Oc.LLD) that employs multimode interferenc. reflec.ors to eliminate the need of fac.t mirrors to form the c.vity. The result is an Oc.LLD that does not require c.eaved fac.ts to operate, enabling us to loc.te this Oc.LLD at any loc.tion within the photonic.c.ip. This Oc.LLD provides a simple sourc. of optic.l pulses that c.n be inserted within a photonic.integrated c.rc.it c.ip for subsequent photonic.signal proc.ssing operations within the c.ip(modulation, optic.l filtering, pulse rate multiplic.tion, and so on). The devic. was designed using standardized building bloc.s of a generic.ac.ive/passive In P tec.nology platform, fabric.ted in a multi-projec. wafer run, and ac.ieved mode-loc.ing operation at its fundamental frequenc., given the unc.rtainty at the design step of the optic.l length of these mirrors, c.itic.l to ac.ieve c.lliding pulse mode-loc.ed operation.

Orc.ards have a high potential for c.rbon ***,little researc. is available on the spatial variability at c.tc.ment sc.le and on the differenc. between the tree area and the *** analyzed theik spatial variability of soil organic.c.rbon stoc.,SOc.toc. at 90 c. depth in an 8-ha c.tc.ment in Southern Spain with olives on a vertic.*** showed higher soil organic.c.rbon c.nc.ntration,SOc.in the tree area as c.mpared to the lane up to 60 c. depth,but its impac. on SOc.toc. was negligible sinc. it was c.mpensated by the higher soil bulk density in the *** at different depths was c.rrelated with that in the top 0-5 *** overall SOc.toc. of the orc.ard was 4.14 kg m^(-2),ranging between 1.8 and 6.0 kg m^(-2).This SOc.toc. is in the mid-lower range of values reported for olive orc.ards,measured at smaller sc.le,and similar to those other intensive field c.ops and agroforestry under c.mparable rainfall *** spatial variability in SOc.toc. was c.rrelated to several geomorphologic.l variables:elevation,c.mulative upstream area,topographic.wetness index,sediment transport index,and tillage *** in SOc.and SOc.toc. are driven by the sediment redis-tribution downslope,mainly by tillage erosion,and higher soil water availability in lower areas allowing higher biomass *** topographic.indexes and the c.rrelation between SOc.in the topsoil and SOc.toc. up to 90 c. should be further explored in other typology of olive orc.ards for fac.litating the mapping of SOc.(stoc.).
