In the last two decades the study of red blood cell elasticity using optical tweezers has known a rise appearing in the scientific research with regard to the various works carried out. Despite the various work done, no study has been done so far to study the influence of friction on the red blood cell indentation response using optical tweezers. In this study, we have developed a new approach to determine the coefficient of friction as well as the frictional forces of the red blood cell. this approach therefore allowed us to simultaneously carry out the indentation and traction test, which allowed us to extract the interfacial properties of the microbead red blood cell couple, among other things, the friction coefficient. this property would be extremely important to investigate the survival and mechanical features of cells, which will be of great physiological and pathological significance. But taking into account the hypothesis of friction as defined by the isotropic Coulomb law. the experiment performed for this purpose is the Brinell Hardness test (DB).

Intermodal four-wave mixing(FWM)processes have recently attracted significant interest for all-optical signal processing applications thanks to the possibility to control the propagation properties of waves exciting distinct spatial modes of the same *** allows,in principle,to place signals in different spectral regions and satisfy the phase matching condition over considerably larger bandwidths compared to intramodal ***,the demonstrations reported so far have shown a limited bandwidth and suffered from the lack of on-chip components designed for broadband manipulation of different *** demonstrate here a silicon-rich silicon nitride wavelength converter based on Bragg scattering intermodal FWM,which integrates mode conversion,multiplexing and de-multiplexing functionalities *** system enables wavelength conversion between pump waves and a signal located in different telecommunication bands(separated by 60 nm)with a 3 dB bandwidth exceeding 70 nm,which represents,to our knowledge,the widest bandwidth ever achieved in an intermodal FWM-based system.

Finding a suitable solution to an optimization problem designed in science is a major ***,these must be addressed utilizing proper *** on a random search space,optimization algorithms can find acceptable solutions to *** Algorithm(AA)is a new stochastic approach for addressing optimization problems that is discussed in this *** fundamental idea of developing the suggested AA is to imitate the archer’s shooting behavior toward the target *** proposed algorithm updates the location of each member of the population in each dimension of the search space by a member randomly marked by the *** AA is mathematically described,and its capacity to solve optimization problems is evaluated on twenty-three distinct types of objective ***,the proposed algorithm’s performance is compared *** approaches,including teaching-learning based optimization,marine predators algorithm,genetic algorithm,grey wolf optimization,particle swarm optimization,whale optimization algorithm,gravitational search algorithm,and tunicate swarm *** to the simulation findings,the AA has a good capacity to tackle optimization issues in both unimodal and multimodal scenarios,and it can give adequate quasi-optimal solutions to these *** analysis and comparison of competing algorithms’performance with the proposed algorithm demonstrates the superiority and competitiveness of the AA.

Background: the purpose of our study is to develop a quite precise mathematical model which describes epidemics spread in a country with non-uniform population density. this model gives explanation of quite long duration of the peak of a respiratory infection such as the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).Methods: the theory of kinetic equations and fractal analysis are used in our mathematical model. According to our model, COVID-19 spreading takes the form of several spatio-temporal waves developing almost independently and simultaneously in areas with different population density. the intensity of each wave is described by a power-law dependence. the parameters of the dependence are determined by real statistical data at the initial stage of the disease ***: the results of the model simulation were verified using statistical data for the Republic of Belarus. Based on the developed model, a forecast calculation was made at the end of May, 2020. It was shown that the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Belarus is well described by three waves, which spread respectively in large cities with the highest population density (the first wave), in medium-sized cities with a population of 50−200 thousands people (the second wave), in small towns and rural areas (the third wave). It was shown that a new wave inside a subpopulation with a lower density was born 20−25 days after the appearance of the previous wave. Comparison with actual data several months later showed that the accuracy of forecasting the total number of cases for a period of 3 months for total population in the proposed approach was approximately 3%.Conclusions: the high accuracy mathematical model is proposed. It describes the development of a respiratory epidemic in a country non-uniform population density without quarantine. the model is useful for predicting the development of possible epidemics in the future. We address the problem of predicting the zero-temperature dynamical stability (DS) of a periodic crystal without computing its fullphonon band structure. Here we report the evidence that DS can be inferred with good reliability from the phonon frequencies atthe center and boundary of the Brillouin zone (BZ). this analysis represents a validation of the DS test employed by theComputational 2D Materials Database (C2DB). For 137 dynamically unstable 2D crystals, we displace the atoms along an unstablemode and relax the structure. this procedure yields a dynamically stable crystal in 49 cases. the elementary properties of these newstructures are characterized using the C2DB workflow, and it is found that their properties can differ significantly from those of theoriginal unstable crystals, e.g., band gaps are opened by 0.3 eV on average. All the crystal structures and properties are available inthe C2DB. Finally, we train a classification model on the DS data for 3295 2D materials in the C2DB using a representation encodingthe electronic structure of the crystal. We obtain an excellent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve with an area under thecurve (AUC) of 0.90, showing that the classification model can drastically reduce computational efforts in high-throughput studies.

Determining the migration routes and connections of migratory birds at the population level helps clarify intraspecific differences in *** subspecies have been recognized in the Whimbrel(Numenius phaeopus)in *** is the most recently described *** breeds in Central Siberia,while its non-breeding region and migration routes are still *** tracked the migration of Eurasian Whimbrels captured at three non-breeding sites(Moreton Bay in east coast of Australia,Roebuck Bay in Northwest Australia and Sungei Buloh Wetland in Singapore)and two migration stopover sites(Chongming Dongtan and Mai Po Wetland in China).We determined the breeding sites and inferred the subspecies of the tagged birds in the East Asian–Australasian Flyway(EAAF)based on the known breeding distribution of each *** the 30 tagged birds,6 and 21 birds bred in the breeding range of *** and variegatus,respectively;one bred in the presumed transition area between the breeding range of *** and rogachevae,and two bred in the region between the breeding range of *** and *** birds that bred in the *** breeding range spent their non-breeding season in the northern Sumatra,Singapore,East Java and Northwest Australia and mainly stopped over along China's coasts during *** of our birds bred in the exclusive breeding range of the phaeopus *** studies have predicted that rogachevae whimbrels migrate along the Central Asian Flyway and spend the non-breeding season in West India and East *** found that at least some rogachevae whimbrels migrate along the EAAF and spend the non-breeding season in Southeast Asia and *** *** is at best sparsely distributed in the EAAF in the west region,or possibly does not occur at all.
