Plants can respond to traumatism by synthesis and secretion of defence molecules. Wound-healing and desiccation stress of pieces of potato tuber parenchyma (Solanum tuberosum) promoted the secretion of a patatin-like phospholipase A2, PLA2 (Ec.3.***.1.4.) that displayed cytotoxic activity against tumour cells. The potato secretion product, an oligomeric form of patatin-like protein, was shown to contain several isoforms of PLA2 polypeptides and to be associated with other proteins, including Kunitz-type protease inhibitors. Patatin-like protein secretion was inhibited by vanadate. Secreted patatin-like proteins displayed specific features, such as extracellular function and low molecular weights, mainly 36 to 40 kDa. The 36-kDa polypeptide sequence was related to iPLA2α. Polypeptide spots of secreted patatin-like protein exhibited a nucleotide-binding consensus motif, GGGIKG that has been described in iPLA2 gene family. The cytotoxic agent caused cell death of plant crown-gall induced by Agrobacterium tumefaciens, and inhibited B16 cell proliferation, but at the same concentration did not display any toxicity against non-transformed cells. PLA2 enzyme activity was required for cytotoxicity against B16 melanoma cells. A model for such a specific activity against tumour cells is discussed in connection with asymmetric phospholipid patterns of cell membranes. In conclusion, secreted patatin-like PLA2 (e-patatin) may represent a novel therapeutic target for the development of new agents against cancer.

企业文化跟企业竞争力、经营效率有密切的关系。优秀的企业文化可以提高企业的竞争优势。评估一个企业的文化帮助管理者了解企业结构的优点和弱点,通过评估他们才能有效地实施企业的战略,提高企业的生产率,管理方法,加强竞争力,完善企业文化。但是各个国家之间的每个企业的企业文化都有差异。近年来中国政府实施了“一带一路”的策略,帮助国内的企业走出去。越南是中国相邻,自古中越两国人民已有贸易来往。另外越南有良好的投资环境,成功吸引了各国投资包括中国,但是大多数都是中小企业,经营情况不是很乐观。重要的原因是中小企业没有或者没有完善的企业文化。因此建设符合越南环境的企业文化对于中资中小企业是一个迫切的问题。本文以在越中资中小企业文化建设为研究对象。分析在越中资企业文化的背景下进行企业文化建设,使中资企业在越南市场经营过程中,不仅适应越南的经济环境,还能适应越南的社会文化环境,提高核心竞争力,推动企业发展。本文首先对企业文化的相关概念、国内外对企业文化建设的研究成果认真分析。随后深入分析了中资企业的投资现状、投资背景,通过量化问卷调查中资中小企业文化建设情况,深入分析找出企业文化建设存在的问题及主要原因。在以上基础上依据企业文化理论、跨文化理论和企业文化结构加上数据分析提出企业文化建设对策。本文从企业文化的四个层次深入研究,包括物质文化层、行为文化层、制度文化层、精神文化层,结合国际文化融合、本土文化、跨文化管理、互联网时代企业文化建设管理新思维并对每个层次提出建设方案。希望通过问卷量化分析结合理论与实际研究中资中小企业文化建设得出的结果,能带给企业在文化建设过程中参考的价值,让中资企业在越南市场日益发展。

The two-body weak decays ■and■ are examined using isospin analysis to study nonfactorizable contributions. After determining strong interaction phases and obtaining factorizable contributions from spectator-quark diagrams for Nc=3, we determine nonfactorizable isospin amplitudes from the experimental data for these modes. Our results support the universality of the ratio of nonfactorizable isospin reduced amplitudes for these decays within experimental errors. To demonstrate that these systematics are not coincidental, we also plot our results w. r. t. this ratio.

XMT enabled prediction of structure and permeability of flocculated structures and sediments

3D visualisations of the microstructure of flocculated particulates and sediments using optical confocal laser mi- croscopy and high resolution X-ray microtomography (XMT) methods are described. Data obtained from in-situ measurements should enable direct computation of the properties of solids assembly (shape, size, contact area) and their permeability to fluids. A specific application relating to the formation of silica aggregates is described from which the behaviour of sediments containing these materials can be predicted on the basis of a bench-top test and the use of a Lattice Boltzman simulation. It is proposed that the method can potentially be used to predict trends such as the filtration behaviour of porous structures under different states of compression. This offers a significant benefit in assisting the formulation design of flocculated materials pertinent to a number of industrial sectors wishing to design optimal filtration or relevant operations.

Aquaporins are channels facilitating the diffusion of water and/or small uncharged solutes ecross biological membranes. They assemble as homotetramers but some of them also form heterotetramers, especially in plants. In Zea mays, aquaporins belonging to the plasma membrane intrinsic protein （PIP） subfamily are clustered into two groups, PIP1 and PIP2, which exhibit different water-channel activities when expressed in Xenopus oocytes. When PIP1 and PIP2 isoforms are co-expressed, they physically interact to modulate their subcellular localization and channel activity. Here, we demonstrated by affinity chromatography purification that, when co-expressed in Xenopus oocytes, the maize PIP1;2 and PIP2;5 isoforms assemble as homo- and heterodimers within heterotetramers. We built the 3D structure of such heterotetramers by comparative modeling on the basis of the spinach SoPIP2;1 X-ray structure and identified amino acid residues in the transmembrane domains which putatively interact at the interfaces between monomers. Their roles in the water-channel activity, subcellular localization, protein abundance, and physical interac- tion were investigated by mutagenesis. We highlighted single-residue substitutions that either inactivated PIP2;5 or activated PIP1;2 without affecting their interaction. Interestingly, the phe220Ala mutation in the transmembrane domain 5 of PIP1 ;2 activated its water-channel activity and, at the same time, inactivated PIP2;5 within a heterotetramer. Altogether, these data contribute to a better understanding of the interaction mechanisms between PIP isoforms and the role of heterotetramerization on their water-channel activity.

Food components possessing zinc ligands can be used to inhibit zinc-dependent *** this study,zinc-binding peptides were derived from whey protein hydrolysates,and their ultrafiltration(>1 andctions,produced with Esperase(WPH-Esp),Everlase and *** metal affinity chromatography(IMAc-Zn^(2+))increased the zinc-binding capacity of the peptide fraction(83%)when compared to WPH-Esp(23%)and itsction(40%).The increased zinc-binding capacity of the sample increased the inhibitory activity against the zinc-dependent“a disintegrin and metalloproteinase 17”.Lc-MS/MS analysis using a shotgun peptidomics approach resulted in the identification of 24 peptides originating from bovineβ-lactoglobulin,α-lactalbumin,serum albumin,β-casein,κ-casein,osteopontin-k,and folate receptor-αin the *** identified peptides contained different combinations of the strong zinc-binding group of residues,His+cys,Asp+Glu and phe+Tyr,although cys residues were absent in the *** silico predictions showed that the IMAc-Zn^(2+)peptides were ***,the peptides possessed poor drug-like and pharmacokinetic properties;this was possibly due to their long chain lengths(5–19 residues).Taken together,this work provided an array of food peptide-based zinc ligands for further investigation of structure-function relationships and development of nutraceuticals against inflammatory and other zinc-related diseases.
