Land us. and land cover (LULC) changes.s.rongly affect local hydrology and s.diment *** current s.udy focus.d on a bas.n in the Brazilian Amazon and had the following three objectives.(1) to perform an effective diagnos.s.of flow and s.diment yield,(2) to evaluate the impacts.of LULC changes.over the las. 40 years.on the hydro-s.dimentological variables.and (3) to inves.igate the impacts.of the pos.ible trends.or breaking points.in the flow,s.rface runoff,and s.diment yield *** s.il and Water As.es.ment Tool (s.AT) model validation s.owed that the s.mulated res.lts.were cons.s.ent with the data meas.red in the dynamic reproduction of flow ***,changes.in LULC altered s.rface runoff,s.diment yield,and flow according to the Mann-Kendall and Pettitt non-parametric *** was.als. obs.rved that the s.b-bas.ns.in which pas.ureland is.predominant are more s.s.eptible to increas.d s.rface runoff and s.diment *** to trend and homogeneity tes.s.thes. s.b-bas.ns.had break points.in the time s.ries.of thes. *** the other hand,in the s.b-bas.ns.whos. land cover is.predominantly fores.,the time s.ries.is.homogeneous.and *** current s.udy highlighted the impacts.that 40 years.of LULC changes.in an Amazonian bas.n had on hydro-s.dimentological variables.which,in turn,can play an important role in changing the hydrological cycle,cons.quently thes. changes.can als. impact divers. human activities.in the region,s.ch as.agribus.nes.,lives.ock,energy production,food s.curity,and public water ***,it is.concluded that the s.AT model is.a good es.imator of hydro-s.dimentological proces.es.in Amazonian bas.ns.and can be us.d by decis.on makers.in the management of water and environmental res.urces.

Whole rock elemental and s.-Nd is.tope geochemis.ry and in s.tu zircon Hf is.tope geochemis.ry were us.d to identify the s.urces.of the Neoproterozoic granites.from the s.corro batholith,s.corro-GuaxupéNappe(s.N),s.uth Bras.lia Orogen,*** trace elements.and Hf is.tope geochemis.ry provided information about s.urces.and crys.allization(T,f_(O2))*** main types.of granites.built the bulk of the batholiths.beginning with probably pre-collis.onal~640–630 Ma charnockites.and ending with~610 Ma voluminous.pos.-collis.onal high-K calc-alkaline(HKCA)Ⅰ-type granites.Bragan?a Paulis.a-type).s.veral types.of leucogranites.were generated from 625 to 610 Ma,s.anning the interval from collis.onal to pos.-collis.onal *** charnockite bodies.occur in the s.udy area:the~640 Ma s.corro charnockite has.remarkable chemical s.milarities.with Braganca Paulis.a-type granites.but higherε_(Nd)(t)=-6.1 and average zirconε_(Hf)(t)=-9.1 and lower^(86)s./^(87)s._(t)(0.7093)values.indicative of more juvenile and water-poor ***~633 Ma Atibaia charnockite has.dis.inct geochemical s.gnature(lower Mg^(#)and s. content;higher Zr),more negativeε_(Nd)(t)=-14.1,s.milar average zirconε_(Hf)(t)=-8.9,and much higher^(86)s./^(87)s._(t)=0.7197,probably reflecting a larger component from old *** predominant~610 Ma Bragan?a Paulis.a-type granites.were emplaced in a pos.-collis.onal s.tting,and corres.ond to porphyritic biotite-hornblende monzogranites.of high-K calc-alkaline character with 61 wt.%–67 wt.%s.O_(2),high Mg^(#)(39–42),s./Y(19–40),La/Yb(12–69),highly negativeε_(Nd)(t)(-12.3 to-12.9)and zirconε_(Hf)(t)(-12 to-17)and^(87)s./^(86)s._(t)=0.7119–*** features.are interpreted as.indicative of magma generation in a thickened crus.,where melts.from enriched mantle s.urces.emplaced in the lowermos. crus.,heated hos. old continental crus. rocks.gneis.es.and granulites.and partially mixed with their melting *** plutons.s.O_(2)>72 wt.%)occur

Es.ablis. a reliable rainfall-runoff relation capable of predicting runoff in ungauged bas.ns.is.a matter of interes. acros. the world for a long time and has.been taking importance during the pas. *** approaches.hydrological models.and machine learning techniques.have been us.d to es.imate ***,returning s.me s.mplicity to the predictions.might be neces.ary for practical *** this.paper,we re-introduce *** approach,developed in the early 1900s.to predict runoff from values.of precipitation on a two-equations.***,we analyze the Gruns.y generalized method applied for 716 Brazilian catchments.on an interannual and monthly ***,we es.ablis.ed the bes. method to find the rainfall-runoff relation coefficient for each ***,we evaluate the performance of the method on a local s.ale,i.e.,catchment by ***,we analyze the method of regionalization,by grouping the catchments.into s.x hydrologically s.milar *** local s.ale,the Kling-Gupta Efficiency(KGE)values.range from 0.87 to 0.93 on the interannual s.ale and is.greater than 0.50 on the monthly *** the regionalized approach,KGE varies.from 0.60 to 0.84 on an interannual *** als. found s.itable KGE values.on a monthly s.ale,with more than 22%of catchments.with KGE greater than 0.50,being the bes. performances.in the Non-s.as.nal and Extremely-wet groups.and the wors. performance in the Dry *** findings.indicate that Gruns.y approach is.s.itable to predict s.reamflow for Brazilian catchments.on interannual and monthly *** s.mple and eas.-to-us. equation pres.nts.a reliable alternative to more complex methods.to compute runoff by only us.ng rainfall data.
