Notif.cation Oriented Paradigm(NOP)and Imperative Paradigm:A comparative Study

This paper presents a new programming paradigm named Notif.cation Oriented Paradigm (NOP) and analyses perf.rmance aspects of.NOP programs by means of.an experiment. NOP provides a new manner to conceive, structure, and execute sof.ware, which allows better perf.rmance, causal-knowledge organization, and entity decoupling than standard solutions based upon current paradigms. These paradigms are essentially Imperative Paradigm (IP) and Declarative Paradigm (DP). In short, DP solutions are considered easier to use than IP solutions thanks to the concept of.high-level programming. However, they are considered slower to execute and lesser f.exible to program than IP. Anyway, both paradigms present similar drawbacks like causal-evaluation redundancies and strongly coupled entities, which decrease sof.ware perf.rmance and processing distribution f.asibility. These problems exist due to an orientation to monolithic inf.rence mechanism based upon sequential evaluation by means of.searches over passive computational entities. NOP proposes another manner to structure sof.ware and make its inf.rences, which is based upon small, smart, and decoupled collaborative entities whose interaction happen by means of.precise notif.cations. This paper discusses NOP as a paradigm and presents certain comparison of.NOP against IP. Actually, perf.rmance is evaluated by means of.IP and NOP programs with respect to a same application, which allow demonstrating NOP superiority.

Bisphosphinoaryl ruthenium(Ⅱ) compounds are synthesized using two distinctsynthetic routes. One route, direct cycloruthenation, consists of.the reaction of.the parent arenecompound R-PcHP with [Rucl_2 (PPh_3)_3] in chlorinated solvents. However, this route suf.ers f.ommajor drawbacks because Hcl is f.rmed as well as f.ee triphenylphoshine. The other route, thetranscyclometalation reaction, involves the interconversion of.one cyclometalated ligand metalcomplex, [Rucl (NcN) (PPh_3)], into another complex, [Rucl (R-PcP) (PPh_3)], with concomitantconsumption and f.rmation of.the corresponding arenes R-PcHP and NcHN, respectively.

Magnetic f.ltration of.an iron oxide aerosol by means of.magnetizable grates

The cleaning of.gases with low concentrations of.small f.rromagnetic or paramagnetic particles is a dif.icult task f.r conventional f.ltration. A new alternative procedure, magnetic f.ltration, is used in this work. Iron oxide aerosol was generated by elutriation of.iron oxide particles f.om a f.uidized bed consisting of.a mixture of.Geldart-c iron oxide powder and large spherical Geldart-B sand particles. The aerosol was f.ltered by means of.a magnetic f.lter which consisted of.one, two or three iron grates staggered to each other. The experimental installation contained also an isokinetic sampling system and a Microtrac SRA 150 Particle Analyser. A theoretical expression f.r f.ltration ef.iciency was deduced f.om a previous model taking into account the dif.erent f.rces acting on the iron oxide particles. Experimental f.ltration ef.iciency matches quite well calculated theoretical ef.iciency. It was f.und that an increase in particle size, in thee number of.grates or in the applied magnetic f.eld produced higher f.ltration ef.iciencies up to 100% in some cases. In all f.ltration experiments pressure drop through the magnetic f.lter was very small.

In this context, the use of.indicators has been a major management tool.

OBJEcTIVE:To evaluate the sternocleidomastoid and the descending portion of.the trapezius muscles in terms of.electromyographic activity and pressure pain threshold in women with chronic cervical pain af.er acupuncture ***:Twenty-f.ve women,aged 18-50 years[(31±3)years],with chronic neck and temporomandibular disorder participated in the *** electromyographic activity of.the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the descending portion of.the trapezius muscle were recorded at rest,during shoulder elevation,(lef. and right)rotation of.the neck and crucif.x *** voluntary contraction was used to normalize the electromyographic activity *** points used f.r acupuncture were Jiache(ST 6),Xiaguan(ST 7),Quanliao(SI 18),Tinggong(SI 19),Yif.ng(TE-17),f.ngchi(GB 20),Renzhong(GV 26),Yangbai(GB-14),and points of.the lower and upper limbs:Tai chong(LV 3),Zusanli(ST 36),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Kunlun(BL 60),He Gu(LI4)and Yanglingquan(GB 34).The treatment course was 10 sessions,30 min long per session,and twice a *** f.nal electromyographic activity and pressure pain threshold data collection were perf.rmed 15 d af.er treatment ***:The normalized electromyographic activity and pressure pain threshold data were tabulated and submitted to statistical analysis using t-test(Pf.cant dif.erence was observed during shoulder elevation f.r the lef. trapezius muscle,during neck rotation f.om the right side to the lef.,and pressure pain threshold f.r the trapezius and sternocleidomastoid muscles,bilaterally,af.er the acupuncture ***:The acupuncture treatment improved the neck muscles in terms of.electromyographic activity and increased the tolerance to chronic pain in women.

The conditions used f.r f.iction stir welding of.duplex stainless steels determine the resulting mechanical and corrosion perf.rmance of.the *** study investigates the corrosion resistance of.UNS S32750 and S32760 superduplex stainless steels(SDSSs)joined by f.iction stir welding,employing cyclic polarization,Mott–Schottky,and microscopy techniques f.r *** microscopy images indicated the presence of.a deleterious intermetallic phase af.er electrolytic etching of.S32760,as well as decreased corrosion *** presence of.molybdenum in the steels promoted better passive behavior at low *** Mott–Schottky curves revealed p-n heterojunction behavior of.the passive *** acquired af.er the polarization test by scanning electron microscopy showed higher passivation propensity with increases of.temperature and pH.

A New Device f.r Intermittent Emptying of.the Bladder in children and Adults: A Long-Term f.llow-Up

contextualization: Emptying the bladder is a challenging problem f.r the urological community. Intermittent catheterization is the most widely used method to restore bladder emptying mechanism. However, this procedure can have a negative impact on self.image and result in a decline in the quality of.lif. of.patients. In this context, the use of.a bladder emptying device (SVcATH3D) proposes to be ef.ective and have a positive impact on the quality of.lif. of.dif.erent patients. Objective: The objective of.the study was to evaluate the f.nctionality of.a new device f.r both intermittent and controlled emptying of.the bladder in both sexes and ages. Materials and methods: A randomized clinical trial was conducted with 251 patients, with dif.erent bladder problems, f.om March 2013 to January 2023. Af.er randomization, the patients were divided into two groups: Group I (SVcATH3D) and Group II (clean Intermittent catheterization). The primary outcome was def.ned as the impact on quality of.lif.. Data on episodes of.urinary tract inf.ction, adverse ef.ects, number of.diaper use and treatment costs were analyzed. Results: The apposition of.the SVcATH3D was perf.rmed on an outpatient basis, with no complications during the procedures. The patients were f.llowed up f.r 10 years. There was a signif.cant improvement in quality of.lif. when comparing the moments bef.re and af.er the use of.SVcATH3D (p conclusion: The study using SVcATH3D showed promising results in relation to f.nctionality, showing improvement in quality of.lif. with a reduction in episodes of.urinary inf.ction and amount of.diapers/day. This allows us to conclude that SVcATH3D can represent an important step in the treatment of.patients suf.ering f.om various bladder problems both incontinence and af.ecting emptying mechanism.

AIM:To investigate the ef.ect of.quercetin supplementation on the myenteric neurons and glia in the cecum of.diabetic ***:Total preparations of.the muscular tunic were prepared f.om the ceca of.twenty-f.ur rats divided into the f.llowing groups:control(c),control supplemented with quercetin(200 mg/kg quercetin body weight)(cQ),diabetic(D)and diabetic supplemented with quercetin(DQ).Immunohistochemical double staining technique was perf.rmed with Huc/D(general population)/nitric oxide synthase(nNOS),Huc-D/S-100and *** analysis of.the general neuronal population Huc/D-IR,the nNOS-IR(nitrergic subpopulation)and the enteric glial cells(S-100)was perf.rmed,and the morphometry and the reduction in varicosity population(VIP-IR)in these populations were ***:Diabetes promoted a signif.cant reduction(25%)in the neuronal density of.the Huc/D-IR(general population)and the nNOS-IR(nitrergic subpopulation)compared with the c *** also signif.cantly increased the areas of.neurons,glial cells and VIP-IR *** with quercetin in the DQ group prevented neuronal loss in the general population and increased its area(Pf.nitrergic subpopulation(Pcompared to c *** induced a VIP-IR and glial cells areas(Pcompared to c,cQ and D ***:In diabetes,quercetin exhibited a neuroprotective ef.ect by maintaining the density of.the general neuronal population but did not af.ect the density of.the nNOS subpopulation.

There has been a growing interest in disordered optical media in recent years due to their potential applications in solar collectors, random lasers, light conf.nement, and other advanced photonic f.nctions. This paper studies the transport of.light f.r dif.erent incidence angles in a strongly disordered optical medium composed of.core-shell TiO@Silica nanoparticles suspended in an ethanol solution. A decrease of.optical conductance and an increase of.absorption near the input border are reported when the incidence angle increases. The specular ref.ection, measured f.r the photons that enter the sample, is lower than the ef.ective internal ref.ection undergone by the coherently backscattered photons in the exact opposite direction, indicating a nonreciprocal propagation of.*** study represents a novel approach in order to understand the complex physics involved at the phase transition to localization.
