Inflammatory bowel disease,encompassing Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis,are chronic immune-mediated inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)that primarily affect the gastrointestinal tract with periods of activity and *** body of evidence exist to strengthen the prognostic role of endoscopic evaluation for both disease activity and severity and it remains the gold standard for the assessment of mucosal *** healing has been associated with improved clinical outcomes with prolonged remission,decreased hospitalization,IBD-related surgeries and colorectal cancer ***,endoscopic objectives in IBD have been incorporated as part of standard *** the known increased risk of colorectal cancer in IBD,although prevention strategies continue to develop,regular surveillance for early detection of neoplasia continue to be paramount in IBD patients’*** is thanks to evolving technology and visualization techniques that surveillance strategies are continuously *** endoscopic options in IBD have also been expanding,from surgery sparing therapies such as balloon dilation of fibrostenotic strictures in CD to endoscopic mucosal resection of neoplastic *** this review article,we discuss the current evidence on the use of endoscopy as part of standard of care of IBD,its role in surveillance of neoplasia,and the role of interventional endoscopic therapies.

Studies examining the inheritance of inflammatory bowel disease （IBD） within different family groups have been the basis for recent molecular advances in the genetics of IBD. The derived heritability in Crohn＇s disease （CD） is higher than in many other complex diseases. The risk of IBD is highest in first-degree relatives of a CD proband, but first-degree relatives of a proband suffering from ulcerative colitis （UC） and more distant relatives are also at increased risk. Disease concordance rates in IBD have been examined in multiplex families and in three large European twin studies.

Background:In the context of the search for cost-efficient treatments,Ulmo(Eurcyphia cordifolia)honey is an excellent alternative for treating burn wounds and could have a profound medical,social,and economic *** acid is an enzymatic co-factor necessary for the synthesis of collagen and the proliferation of fibroblasts and has been proposed as a coadjuvant to strengthen the healing effects of *** aim of this work was to evaluate by morphometric studies the healing wounds caused by burns treated with Ulmo honey alone and supplemented with ascorbic acid in guinea pig(Cavia porcellus).Methods:Fifteen guinea pigs were used and divided randomly into three groups:positive control(C+),experimental with unsupplemented honey(H),and experimental with supplemented honey(SH).A uniform deep burn covering 1 cm2of the back skin was *** following indices were calculated for the morphometric study:superficial contraction index of the wound,deep contraction index of the wound,wound severity index,global healing index,global contraction index,and dermal proliferation ***:The superficial contraction index of the wound,global healing index,global contraction,and dermal proliferation area values of the experimental with supplemented honey group were higher than the other groups(P<0.05).Conclusions:According to these results,the combination of honey with an antioxidant(ascorbic acid)promotes an appropriate action to support the healing *** study showed that by supplementing the Ulmo honey with ascorbic acid,the healing and contraction effects can be strengthened in burn wounds compared to unsupplemented *** results were proof of the synergy between honey and ascorbic acid in healing burn wounds.

Fabrication and Characterization of Lightweight Ceramic/Polyurethane Composites

The Idea of the Feminine Beauty in the Italian Merchant Treaties of the XV Century

In the context of Italian literature of 15th century investigate the conception of beauty present in treatises considering the concept of family means not limited value of women＇s beauty. Examination of the course of the development of this idea leads to the conclusion that the conception of beauty doesn＇t exhaust itself in the traditional Aristotelian vision but implies a connection with virtu and with human values on which is based the society. In my analysis 1 will proceed comparing the visions of three authors which apparently belong to different environments but have the same cultural roots. In my investigation of the concept of beauty present in Francesco Barbaro＇s ＂De re uxoria＂, Leon Battista Alberti＇s ＂I libri della famiglia＂ and Benedetto Cotrugli＇s ＂II libro dell＇arte di mercatura＂, I will trace the definition of beauty which is far from simple physical gracefulness but is based on Aristotelian system of virtues. The significance of U-Pb zircon ages in zoned plutons:the case of the Flamenco pluton, Coastal Range batholith, northern Chile

Compositionally zoned plutons, both layered and concentrically arranged, provide granitic exposures where the mechanisms and timing of the magmatic emplacement processes can be studied. The importance of in-situ geochemical differentiation and the magma replenishment rates are revealed by geochemistry and field relations, together with the increasingly accurate U-Pb geochronology, which has promoted the knowledge about the pluton incremental assembly *** Flamenco pluton, located in the Coastal Range of northern Chile, is part of the Upper Triassic to Early Cretaceous Andean intrusives formed in the western active margin of South America, and present a normal zoned structure with mafic magmatic facies(mostly gabbros and Qtz-diorites) close to the contacts with the host metasediments, and tonalites, granodiorites and granites in the inner areas. A combined study of the field relations, geochemistry and zircon geochronology of the magmatic facies was applied to determine the emplacement sequence of the Flamenco pluton, revealing three distinguishable domains separated by metasedimentary septa. The SW area is constituted by mostly homogeneous leucocratic granodiorites that yielded an age of 213 Ma as the best estimation for their emplacement age. Distinctive geochemical characteristics, such as the absence of an Eu anomaly, the depletion in HREE, or the highest Sr, Sr/Y and Ce/Yb values among the granodioritic facies of the pluton,involve lower T and/or higher P conditions at the magmatic source according to experimental *** conditions were established during an early stage of the Andean magmatic arc building that is firstly defined here as Upper Triassic. The NW and E domains of the pluton were sequentially emplaced between 194 Ma and 186 Ma and both the field relations and the detailed geochronological results suggest that the mafic facies intruded latter in the emplacement sequence.
