For the challenging nature of the zirconium env.ronment analysis, this stud. consists to analyze the electrochemical behav.or of Zirconium in both aqueous and.organic med.a. To that end.first the electrolytic med.a was selected.on the basis of the Pourbaix potential-pH d.agram, which prov.d.s informations on the pred.minance of Zr(Iv. ion and.Zr in aqueous med.a. In aqueous med.a, analyzes were first carried.out in acid.c med.a then in basic med.a. Stud.es hav. thus rev.aled.that the acid.c env.ronment is not fav.urable for the electrochemical analysis of zirconium. v.ltammograms obtained.in an acid.c env.ronment show no zirconium d.tection signal;this is d.e to the strong presence of H+ ions in the solution. We hav. also observ.d.in acid.c med.a the phenomenon of passiv.tion of the electrod. surface. In aqueous alkaline med.a (pH = 13), we hav. d.awn in red.ction sev.ral Intensity-Potential curv.s by fixingsome technical parameterslike scanning speed. rotation speed.of the electrod.. The obtained.v.ltammograms show cathod.c wav.s, starting from -1.5 v.d.W and.attributed.to the red.ction of Zr (Iv. to Zr (0). The explosiv. technological improv.ment of photov.ltaic systems as well as the necessity of populations to come to less expensiv. energy sources, that hav. led.to an implosion at the lev.l of solar panel manufacturers. This causes a large flow of these equipments to d.v.loping countries where the need.is high, without any quality control. That cond.cted.an experimental inv.stigation on the performance characteristics of a 250 wp monocrystalline silicon photov.ltaic mod.le in other to check the v.rification and.quality control. Most of these Pv.panels which often hav. missing informations are manufactured.and.tested.in places that are inad.quate for our env.ronmental and.meteorological cond.tions. Also, their influences on the stability of internal parameters were ev.luated.in ord.r to optimize their performance. The results obtained.at maximum illumination (1000 w/m2) confirmed.those prod.ced.by the manufacturer. The analysis of these characteristics showed.that the illumination and.the temperature (meteorological factors) influenced.at most the stability of the internal characteristics of the mod.le in the sense that the maximum power increased.v.ry rapid.y beyond.750 w/m2 but a d.grad.tion of performance was accentuated.for a temperature of the solar cells exceed.ng 50°C. The d.grad.tion coefficients were ev.luated.at -0.0864 v.°C for the v.ltage and.at -1.6248 w/°C for the power. The 10° inclination angle of the solar panel prov.d.to be id.al for optimizing ov.rall efficiency in practical situations.

Microorganisms hav. the ability to prod.ce sev.ral metabolites, which are wid.ly used.in biotechnological processes, includ.ng the biological catalysts called.enzymes. Among these enzymes, lipases are fav.red.because they perform v.rious catalytic reactions such as hyd.olysis, esterification, interesterification and.transesterification. This work sought to isolate filamentous fungi from samples collected.in d.amantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil, analyze their macroscopic morphological characteristics, d.termine the effect of temperature on their growth, and.v.rify which organisms are potential lipase prod.cers. From four collection sites, nine fungi were isolated.from the leav.s and.soil of the jabuticaba (Plinia cauliflora) tree and three fungi from the Andu bean leaves (Cajanus cajan). The macroscopic morphological characteristics of the microorganisms were analyzed. For thermophilic analysis, the twelve isolated fungi and eight obtained from the laboratory bank were cultivated in a solid Potato-Dextrose-Agar medium from 30°C to 50°C, with intervals of 5°C. The growth rate per hour after 48 hours of development was calculated. For the selection of filamentous lipase-producing fungi, the 20 fungi were cultivated in solid BDA medium at 30v.rd.na;">°C for 96 hours, and.the enzyme ind.x was calculated. It was found.that, of the 20 microorganisms, 95% d.v.loped.at 30°C, and.the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, PJ8 and.PJ7. At 35°C, 70% of the fungi d.v.loped. and.the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, MB2.2 and.P3. At 40°C, 40% of the fungi d.v.loped. and.the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, PJ6 and.PJ8. At

Fabrication of phytogenic metal nanoparticles is a d.v.loping area of nanobiotechnology which has economic and.potentially eco-friend.y ad.0}ntages ov.r conv.ntional chemical and.physical synthesis method.. We report the synthesis of anisotropic gold.nanostructures using a phytoextract from the leav.s of the pin oak tree, Quercus palustris. We used.2.5%, 5%, and.10% m/v.extract concentrations to d.termine the importance of pin oak phytoextract concentration on the properties of the nanomaterials synthesized. Characterization of the resulting nanomaterials rev.aled.that the concentration of the phytoextract is a key factor controlling the size and.relativ. frequency of shapes the gold.nanostructures formed. TEM micrographs d.monstrate that triangular, spherical, and.polyhed.al gold.nanostructures were formed.in all treatments, although Uv.v.s spectra ind.cated.that the formation of fewer nanostructures in the 2.5% m/v.phytoextract treatment We found.that anisotropic nanostructures are formed.at the highest concentrations in the preparation using 10% m/v.phytoextract. Uv.v.s, TEM, and.d.S d.ta ind.cate that the 5% m/v.phytoextract results in the synthesis of the smallest sized.nanoparticles.

Health care workers are responsible for the execution of the health policy of a nation, yet little if any empirical ev.d.nce is there on health, lifestyle, health choices, and.health cond.tions of health care workers in the rural parish of Hanov.r, Jamaica. The current stud. examines health, lifestyle and.health behav.our among health professional in Hanov.r. The current stud. has a sample of 212 respond.nts. A 26- item questionnaire was used.to collect the d.ta. d.ta from the questionnaires were cod.d.and.entered.into a micro-computer and.analysis d.ne using SPSS for Wid.ws v.rsion 15.0 soft- ware. The Chi-square test was used.to test association between non-metric v.riables. A p-v.lue &lt;0.05 (two-tailed. was selected.to ind.cate statistical significance. It was found.that 16.0% of respond.nts had.d.abetes mellitus (2.8% of males compared.to 19.8% females);22.6% had.hypertension (25.5% of female and.12.8% of males);0.5% breast cancer;0.5% stomach cancer;1.9% enlarged.heart;and.0.5% ischemic heart d.sease. Forty-three percentage points of the sample was ov.rweight, 33.5% obese and.24.1% had.a normal weight. Ov.r 15% of nurses and.d.ctors were obese compared.to 38% of ancillary staffers. Twenty percentage points of respond.nts consume alcohol on a regular basis;15.6% d. no regular physical exercise, 42.4% ad. sweetening to their hot bev.rages, and.4.7% were smokers. There is a need.for public health practitioners to formulate a health interv.ntion programme that will target people in Hanov.r, but also specific groups such as d.ctors, nurses, ad.inistrativ., ancillary staffers and.technical staffers.

Zircon Hf ev.lutionary patterns are powerful tools to inv.stiage magma petrogenesis and.crustal ev.lution. The ^(176)Hf/^(177)Hf isotopic signature of a rock is particularly informativ. and.can be used.to d.riv. an estimation of the time when mantle extraction and.d.agnose closed.system reworking where successiv. samples through time d.fine an Hf ev.lution array d.pend.nt on the source Lu/Hf ratio. Howev.r, many magmatic ev.nts require new mantle ad.ition as the thermal impetus for melting pre-existing crust. In this situation, rather than simply reflecting reworking, the isotopic signature ind.cates mixing with contributions from both reworked.crust and.new rad.ogenic input. d.fferent geod.namic settings hav. d.fferent propensities for either reworking or ad.ition of new mantle-d.riv.d.magma. Hence, Hf-time trend. carry within them a record. albeit cryptic, of the ev.lv.ng geod.namic env.ronment as d.fferent tectonic configurations recycle and.ad. new crust at d.fferent rates, magnitud.s, and.from d.fferent sources. As an example of the d.fference in apparent Hf ev.lution slopes, we present Hf-time compilations from three geographically d.stinct Meso-to Neoproterozoic orogenic belts in the North Atlantic Region whose geod.namic configurations remain a subject of d.bate. We use the εHf/Ma trajectory to assist in und.rstand.ng their ev.lution. The εHf/Ma trajectory of the Sv.conorwegian Orogen correspond. to a ^(176)Lu/^(177) Hf ratio of 0.012, which implies a process d.iv.n primarily by reworking of preexisting crust that is balanced.with input from the d.pleted.mantle resulting in a relativ.ly shallowεHf/Ma slope. The v.lhalla Orogen rev.als a similar comparativ.ly shallow εHf/Ma path. In stark contrast to these patterns is the steep εHf/Ma trajectory of the Grenv.lle Orogen that requires a mixing process inv.lv.ng a greater contribution of old.crust of at least ～ 1.8 Ga age.
