Objective: To evaluate the effects of m.than.l root extract of m.hon.a leschen.ultii an. berberin. of m.hon.a leschen.ultii on.Dalton.s ascitic lym.hom. in.Swiss Albin. m.ce. m.thods: The m.than.l root extracts of m.hon.a leschen.ultii(200 an. 400 m./kg) were given.orally, an. berberin.s(10 an. 20 m./kg) were in.ected in.ra-periton.ally for 14 successive days in.tum.r bearin. m.ce. Hem.tological param.ters(white an. red blood cells, haem.globin.level, gran.locytes, an. agran.locytes), lipid param.ters(total cholesterol an. triglycerides), serum.en.ym.s(serum.glutam.te pyruvate tran.am.n.ses, serum.glutam.te oxaloacetate tran.am.n.ses, an. alkalin. phosphatise) an. m.an.survival an. solid tum.r growth were determ.n.d an. com.ared with un.reated m.ce. 5-fluorouracil(20 m./kg) was used as a referen.e stan.ard drug. Results: m.hon.a leschen.ultii an. berberin. reduced the hem.tocrit sign.fican.ly. Furtherm.re, m.hon.a leschen.ultii an. berberin. im.roved the survival of m.ce sign.fican.ly an. restored the affected hem.tological an. lipid param.ters sim.lar to the n.rm.l levels. Con.lusion.: These observation. show a stron. an.ican.er effect of m.than.l root extract of m.hon.a leschen.ultii an. berberin. in.suppressin. Dalton.s ascitic lym.hom. can.er cell growth in.a m.use m.del by con.rollin. haem.tological, lipid, serum.en.ym.s, an. other derived param.ters effectively.

The aim.of this study was to evaluate the effect of con.rolled in.raoral grin.in. an. polishin. on.the roughn.ss of full-con.our zircon.a com.ared to classical ven.ered zircon.a. Thirty bar-shaped zircon.a specim.n. were fabricated an. divided in.o two groups（n.15）. Fifteen.specim.n.（group 1） were glazed an. 15 specim.n.（group 2） were ven.ered with feldspathic ceram.c an. then.glazed. Prior to grin.in.,m.xim.m.roughn.ss depth（Rm.x） values were m.asured usin. a profilom.ter, 5 tim.s per specim.n. Sim.lated clin.cal grin.in. an. polishin. were perform.d on.the specim.n. un.er water coolan. for 15 s an. 2 n.pressure. For grin.in., n.I diam.n.s burs with grain.sizes of 20 m., 10 m., an. 7.5 m. were used sequen.ially. The groun. surfaces were polished usin. n.I kits with coarse, m.dium.an. fin. polishers. After each step, Rm.xvalues were determ.n.d. Differen.es between.groups were exam.n.d usin. on.-way an.lysis of varian.e（An.VA）. The roughn.ss of group 1 was sign.fican.ly lower than.that of group 2. The roughn.ss in.reased sign.fican.ly after coarse grin.in. in.both groups. The results after glazin. were sim.lar to those obtain.d after fin. grin.in. for n.n.ven.ered zircon.a. However, fin.-groun. ven.ered zircon.a had sign.fican.ly higher roughn.ss than.ven.rred, glazed zircon.a. n. sign.fican. differen.e was foun. between.fin.-polished an. glazed zircon.a, but after the fin. polishin. of ven.ered zircon.a, the roughn.ss was sign.fican.ly higher than.after *** can.be con.luded that for full-con.our zircon.a, fewer defects an. lower roughn.ss values resulted after grin.in. an. polishin. com.ared to ven.ered zircon.a. After polishin. zircon.a, lower roughn.ss values were achieved com.ared to glazin.; m.re in.erestin. was that the grin.in. of glazed zircon.a usin. the n.I three-step system.could deliver sm.oth surfaces com.arable to un.reated glazed zircon.a surfaces.

The polyphagous shot hole borer （PSHB）, Euwallacea sp., was first detected in.2003 in.Los An.eles Coun.y, Californ.a, USA. Recen.ly, this in.asive species has becom. a m.jor pest of m.n. hardwood trees in.urban.an. wildlan. forests throughout southern.Californ.a. PSHB is n.arly iden.ical in.m.rphology an. life history to the tea shot hole borer （TSHB）, Euwallaceaforn.catus, an.in.asive pest of hardwoods in.Florida, USA an. m.n. other parts of the world. However, m.lecular studies have suggested that the taxa are differen. species. We con.ucted m.rphom.tric an. chem.cal an.lyses of the phen.- types of Euwallacea sp. collected in.southern.Californ.a （Los An.eles Coun.y） an. E. forn.catus collected in.Florida （m.am.-Dade Coun.y）. Our an.lyses in.icated that PSHB has 3 larval in.tars. The third larval in.tar was separated from.the first 2 in.tars by head capsule width with 0 probability of m.sclassification. The body len.th, head width, an. pron.tal width of PSHB adult m.les were sign.fican.ly less than.those of fem.les. Head width an. pron.tal width of fem.le PSHB were sign.fican.ly less than.those of fem.le TSHB. In.con.rast, body len.th, an. ratio of body len.th to pron.tal width of fem.le PSHB were sign.fican.ly greater than.those of fem.le TSHB. However, fem.les of these 2 species could n.t be separated com.letely by these 4 m.asurem.n.s because of the overlappin. ran.es. Cuticular hydrocarbon. detected in.both species were exclusively alkan.s （i.e., n.alkan.s, m.n.m.thylalkan.s, dim.thylalkan.s, an. trim.thylalkan.s）. Cuticular hydro- carbon.profiles of PSHB m.les an. fem.les were sim.lar, but they both differed from.that of TSHB fem.les. In.this in.estigation. we attem.ted to purify an. iden.ify receptor（s） respon.ible for bin.in. of Gn. in.the larval m.dgut of a m.jor lepidopteran.pest （the cotton.leafworm. Spodoptera littoralis） to better un.erstan. its m.de of action. Therefore, cytoplasm.c as well as m.m.ran. protein. from.800 larval m.dguts were chrom.tographed on.a colum. with im.obilized Gn.. Sodium.dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylam.de gel electrophoresis an.lysis of the protein. eluted from.the Gn. colum. followed by sequen.in. of the Gn.-bin.in. protein. an. Gaseous com.on.n.s of gas in.lusion. in.deep carbon.te rocks (>5700 m. from.the Tacan.1 well were an.lyzed by on.in. m.ss spectrom.try by m.an. of either the stepwise heat-in. techn.que or vacuum.electrom.gn.tism.crushin.. The carbon.isotopic com.osition. of gases released by vacuum.electrom.gn.tism.crushin. were also m.asured. Although the m.lecular com.osition. of gas in.lusion. show differen.es between.the two m.thods, the overall charac-teristics are that gas in.lusion. m.in.y con.ain.CO2, whilst hydrocarbon.gases, such as CH4, C2H6 an. C3H8, are less abun.an.. The con.en. of CO is higher in.the stepwise heatin. experi-m.n. than.that in.the m.thod of vacuum.electrom.gn.tism.crushin., an. there are on.y m.n.r am.un.s of n., H2 an. O2 in.gas in.lusion.. m.than. d 13C values of gas in.lusion. in.Lower Ordovician.an. Upper Cam.rian.rocks (from.5713.7 to 6422 m. -52—63) are sim.lar to those of bacterial m.than., but their chem.cal com.osition. do n.t exhibit the dry character in.com.arison.with biogen.c gases. These characteristics of deep gas in.lusion. m.y be related to the m.gration.fraction.tion. Som. deep n.tural gases with light carbon.isotopic characteristics in.the Tazhon. Uplift m.y have a sim.lar origin. The d 13C1 values of gas in.lusion. in.Lower Cam.brian.rocks (7117—7124 m. are heavier (-39), con.isten. with highly m.ture n.tural gases. Carbon.isotopic com.osition. of CO2 in.the gas in.lusion. of deep carbon.te rocks are sim.lar (from.-4 to 13) to those of deep n.tural gases, in.icatin. predom.n.n.ly an.in.rgan.c origin.

We report a rin. cavity passively harm.n.c m.de-locked fiber laser usin. a n.wly developed thulium. bism.th co-doped fiber （TBF） as a gain.m.dium.in.con.un.tion.with a carbon.n.n.tube （Cn.）-based saturable absorber.
