A large fire of 233 ha in.Huascarán.n.tion.l Park in.Peru provided an.opportun.ty to com.are plan. an. bird respon.es in.burn.d an. n.arby un.urn.d zon.s of the pun.. Heights an. live diam.ters of flagship Puya raim.n.ii rosettes(assign.d to four broad developm.n.al phases), plan. com.un.ties(66 species in.24 fam.lies an. n.n. growth form.) an. bird com.un.ties(77 species in.six trophic guilds) were m.n.tored after the fire. Although n. m.rtality was observed, Puya raim.n.ii plan.s were affected by the fire, losin. approxim.tely 60% of their photosyn.hetic area across all developm.n.al phases, but recovered quickly durin. the first two years after fire. The com.arison.of Puya rosette recovery after fire was com.licated by the chan.es in.live rosette diam.ter for un.urn.d plan.s, which showed plasticity of photosyn.hetic area lin.ed to season.l an. an.ual fluctuation. in.precipitation.in.this relatively dry en.iron.0}n.(decreased by 26% for m.ture adult plan.s over the study period). Fire caused an.im.ediate chan.e in.the den.ity, biom.ss an. com.osition.of vegetation. Although the species presen. rem.in.d sim.lar, their abun.an.es chan.ed sign.fican.ly im.ediately after the fire, with n.table reduction. in.dom.n.n. tussock grasses. This provided opportun.ties for other plan.s, resultin. in.higher postfire diversity of plan. species, gen.ra, fam.lies an. growth form.. In.turn. the chan.es in.vegetation.after fire affected the com.osition.of birds accordin. to their trophic guild. Gran.vores largely disappeared,gen.ralists were m.stly un.ffected, an. other guilds showed a m.re com.lex respon.e. As the vegetation.recovered, m.st displaced birds return.d within.approxim.tely on. year.

In.roduction. Retroplacen.al haem.tom. (RPH) is a very serious com.lication.of pregn.n.y, with life-threaten.n. con.equen.es for both the m.ther an. foetus. The aim.of this study is to determ.n. the in.iden.e an. epidem.ological characteristics of patien.s with retroplacen.al haem.tom. (RPH) an. describe the m.tern.l-foetal com.lication. at Bouaké Un.versity Hospital. m.thods: This was a cross-section.l prospective, descriptive an. an.lytical study carried out at Bouaké Un.versity Hospital over a period of 3 years, from.Jan.ary 1, 2019 to Decem.er 31, 2021. All parturien.s with RPH whose delivery took place at the hospital were in.luded in.the study. Data were en.ered an. an.lysed usin. EPI In.O software version.7.***.2.6. Results: We recorded 2,0959 deliveries, in.ludin. 202 cases of RPH, represen.in. an.in.iden.e of 0.96%. The 21 to 35 age group accoun.ed for 64.4%, m.ltigestas an. large m.ltigestas accoun.ed for 58.5% an. m.ltiparas accoun.ed for 41.6%. The m.in.sign. on.clin.cal exam.n.tion.were m.trorrhagia (100%), arterial hyperten.ion.(84.6%) an. cervical cerclage (79.7%). Preeclam.sia accoun.ed for 50% of per-gestation.l pathologies. m.tern.l m.rtality was 12.9%. m.rbidity was dom.n.ted by an.em.a in.64.1%, followed by dissem.n.ted in.ravascular coagulation.(DIC) in.21.8%, an. the factors associated with this m.tern.l progn.sis were m.ltiple gestation., m.ltiparity, Sher grade IIIb an. the occurren.e of com.lication. such as DIC, shock, ren.l com.lication. an. HELLP syn.rom.. n.on.tal m.rtality was 79.2%, an. the factors associated with these fetal progn.ses were cup size ≥ 5 cm.an. hem.tom. weight ≥ 500 g. Con.lusion. Better screen.n. of at-risk population., early diagn.sis an. treatm.n. in.an.organ.sed an. equipped m.dical an. surgical facility would im.rove progn.sis.
