Because of its importance as a food source, nemipterus japonicus （Bloch, 1791）（nemipteridae） or Japanese threadfin bream is the best studied of these taxa, and numerous investigations have examined its fisheries, its biology and biochemistry. de- spite such intensive work, the taxonomic status of n. japonicus has never been seriously questioned and it is regarded as a common species, widely distributed throughout the Indo-Westem Pacific Ocean. In fact, Bloch＇s description of the type specimen of ***- ponicus has ambiguous collection data and lacks a designation for the type locality, though it is probably Java. In this paper, dnA barcode results based on COl gene support the existence of two geographically separated lineages of the Japanese threadfin bream, both being an Indian Ocean and western Pacific lineage, with 2.7% sequence divergence, and the results indicate a possible existing of some cryptic species. The two lineages also possess a diagnostic difference in their belly color, with specimens in the South China Sea having a silver belly, while those from the Indian Ocean isolate specimen have a yellow coloration. Based upon new collections from the South China Sea, this species from the western Pacific is morphologically redescribed and its details of dnA barcode diver- sity are shown for the future investigations.

Security is an essential part of the cloud *** ensuring the security of the data being communicated to and from the cloud server,a significant parameter called trust was ***-based security played a vital role in ensuring that the communication between cloud users and service providers remained unadulterated and *** most cloud-based data distribution environments,emphasis is placed on accepting trusted client users’requests,but the cloud servers’integrity is seldom *** paper designs a trust-based access control model based on user and server characteristics in a multi-cloud environment to address this *** proposed methodology consists of data encryption using Cyclic Shift Transposition Algorithm and trust-based access control *** this trust-based access control mechanism framework,trust values are assigned to cloud users using direct trust *** direct trust degree is estimated based on the following metrics:success and failure rate of interactions,service satisfaction index,and dishonesty *** addition to this,trust values are assigned to cloud servers based on the metrics:server load,service rejection rate,and service access *** role-Based Access control policy of each user is modified based on his trust *** the server fails to meet the minimum trust level,then another suitable server will be *** proposed system is found to outperform other existing systems in a multi-cloud environment.

A viable option for increasing nitrogen (n) use efficiency and mitigation of negative impacts of n on the environment is to capitalize on multi-element interactions through implementation of nutrient management programs that provide balanced nutrition. numerous studies have demonstrated the immediate efficacy of this approach in the developing regions like China and India as well as developed countries in north America. Based on 241 site-years of experiments in these countries, the first-year n recovery efficiency (RE) for the conventional or check treatments averaged 21% while the balanced treatments averaged 54% RE, for an average increase of 33% in RE due to balanced nutrition. Effective policies to promote adoption are most likely those that enable site-specific approaches to nutrient management decisions rather than sweeping, nation-wide incentives supporting one nutrient over another. Local farmers, advisers and officials need to be empowered with tools and information to help them define necessary changes in practices to create more balanced nutrient management.

We report the miscibility characteristics of two components in a binary mixture of 9-phenyl anthracene （PA） mixed with stearic acid （SA） or polymethyl methacrylate （PMMA）. The behaviour of surface pressure versus area per molecule isotherms reveal that the area per molecule decreases systematically with increasing molefractions of PA. The characteristics of areas per molecule versus molefractions and collapse pressure vs molefraction indicate that various interactions involved among the sample and matrix molecules. The interaction scheme is found to change with the change in surface pressure and molefraction of mixing. Scanning electron microscopic study confirms the aggregation of PA molecules in the mixed films.

Understanding naturally occurring pine regeneration dynamics in response to thinning and burning treatments is necessary not only to measure the longevity of the restoration or fuels treatment,but also to assess how well regeneration meets forest sustainability guidelines and whether natural regeneration is sufficient for maintaining a sustainable forest structure and composition.A synthesis review was carried out on the effects of mechanical thinning and prescribed burn treatments on natural pine regeneration response in frequent-fire ponderosa pine forests across the western United *** focus was on site-specific variability in pine regeneration dynamics,temporal trends in regeneration presence and abundance,and response to treatment as described in the current literature using 29 studies that met our evidence-based review *** showed that the effects of thinning and burning treatments on regeneration depended on time since *** thinning,prescribed burning,and thinning plus burn treatments all increased seedling density,but there was high variability among sites and *** were mixed results in the short-term(ncreasing and decreasing regeneration,and a general increase in regeneration 11−20 years *** long-term studies(>20 years)concluded that stands can return to pre-treatment densities in terms of total trees per hectare and forest floor duff levels when there are no maintenance treatments *** studies showed the average ponderosa pine seedling presence,survival and growth found in today’s forests to be at a high density;this combined with missed fire cycles could contribute to future fire risk and reduce the efficacy of maintaining fuel reduction goals.

AIM:To evaluate how widely Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori ) HopE and HopV porins are expressed among Chilean isolates and how seroprevalent they are among infected patients in ***: H. pylori hopE and hopV genes derived from strain CHCTX-1 were cloned by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), sequenced and expressed in Escherichia coli Ad494 (dE3). Gel-purified porins were used to prepare polyclonal antibodies. The presence of both genes was tested by PCR in a collection of H. pylori clinical isolates and their expression was detected in lysates by immunoblotting. Immune responses against HopE, HopV and other H. pylori antigens in sera from infected and non-infected patients were tested by Western blotting using these sera as f irst antibody on recombinant H. pylori ***: PCR and Western blotting assays revealed that 60 and 82 out of 130 Chilean isolates carried hopE and hopV genes, respectively, but only 16 and 9, respectively, expressed these porins. IgG serum immunoreactivity evaluation of 69 H. pylori-infected patients revealed that HopE and HopV were infrequently recognized (8.7% and 10.1% respectively) compared to H. pylori VacA (68.1%) and CagA (59.5%) antigens. Similar values were detected for IgA serum immunoreactivity against HopE (11.6%) and HopV (10.5%) although lower values for VacA (42%) and CagA (17.4%) were obtained when compared to the IgG ***: A scarce expression of HopE and HopV among Chilean isolates was found, in agreement with the infrequent seroconversion against these antigens when tested in infected Chilean patients.

nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdxO(x=0,0.02,0.04,0.06,and 0.08)ceramics were synthesized by ball milling and subsequent solid-state *** transmission electron microscopy(TEM)micrograph of as synthesized samples revealed the formation of crystallites with an average diameter of 60 nm,and the selected area electron diffraction(SAEd)pattern confirmed the formation of wurtzite structure.A red shift in the band gap was observed with increasing Gd^(3+)*** photoluminescence of nanocrystalline Gd^(3+)doped ZnO exhibited a strong violet-blue *** dependence of the emission intensity of Gd^(3+)in ZnO was studied,and the critical concentration was found to be 4 mol%of Gd^(3+).The Gd^(3+)doped ZnO exhibited paramagnetic behavior at room temperature,and the magnetic moment increased with Gd^(3+)concentration.

Survival of rat sciatic nerve segments preserved in storage solutions ex vivo assessed by novel electrophysiological and morphological criteria

Most organ or tissue allografts with viable cells are sto red in solutions ex vivo for hours to seve ral *** allografts then require rapid host revascula rization upon transplantation to maintain donor-cell functions(e.g.,cardiac muscle contra ctions,hepatic secretions).In contrast,peripheral nerve allografts stored ex vivo do not require revascularization to act as scaffolds to guide outgrowth by host axons at 1-2 mm/d,likely aided by viable donor Schwann *** current storage solutions and protocols,axons in all these donor orga n/tissue/nerve transplants are expected to rapidly become non-viable due to Wallerian degeneration within ***,ex vivo storage solutions have not been assessed for preserving normal axonal functions,i.e.,conducting action potentials or maintaining myelin *** hypothesized that most or all organ storage solutions would maintain axonal *** examined several common organ/tissue storage solutions(University of Wisconsin Cold Storage Solution,normosol-R,normal Saline,and La ctated Ringe rs) for axonal viability in rat sciatic nerves ex vivo as assessed by maintaining:(1) conduction of artificially-induced compound action potentials;and(2) axonal and myelin morphology in a novel assay *** ten diffe rent storage solution conditions for peripheral nerves with viable axons(PnVAs) diffe red in their solution composition,osmolarity(250-318 mOsm),temperature(4℃ vs.25℃),and presence of *** action potentials and axonal morphology in PnVAs were best maintained for up to 9 days ex vivo in calcium-free hypotonic diluted(250 mOsm) normosol-R(dnR) at 4℃.Surprisingly,compound action potentials were maintained for only 1-2 days in UW and nS at 4℃,a much shorter duration than PnVAs maintained in 4℃ dnR(9 days) or even in 25℃ dnR(5 days).Viable axons in peripheral nerve allografts are critical for successful polyethylene glycol(PEG)-fusion of viable proximal and distal ends of host axons with viable donor a
