BACKGROUNd Screening for iron deficiency anemia(IdA)is important in managing pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBd).Concerns related to adverse reactions may contribute to a reluctance to prescribe intravenous(IV)iron to treat IdA in this *** To track the efficacy and safety of IV iron therapy in treating IdA in pediatric IBd patients admitted to our *** A longitudinal observational cohort study was performed on 236 consecutive pediatric patients admitted to our tertiary IBd care center between September 2017 and december 2019.92 patients met study criteria for IdA,of which 57 received IV iron,17 received oral iron,and 18 were discharged prior to receiving iron *** Patients treated with IV iron during their hospitalization experienced a significant increase of 1.9(±0.2)g/dL in mean(±SE)hemoglobin(Hb)concentration by the first ambulatory follow-up,compared to patients who received oral iron 0.8(±0.3)g/dL or no iron 0.8(±0.3)g/dL(P=0.03).One out of 57(1.8%)patients that received IV iron therapy experienced an adverse *** Our findings demonstrate that treatment with IV iron therapy is safe and efficacious in improving Hb and iron levels in pediatric patients with IdA and active IBd.

BACKGROUNd Non-responsive celiac disease(NRCd) is defined as the persistence of symptoms in individuals with celiac disease(Ced) despite being on a gluten-free diet(GFd). There is scant literature about NRCd in the pediatric *** To determine the incidence, clinical characteristics and underlying causes of NRCd in *** Retrospective cohort study performed at Boston Children’s Hospital(BCH). Children diagnosed with Ced by positive serology and duodenal biopsies compatible with Marsh Ⅲ histology between 2008 and 2012 were identified in the BCH’s Celiac disease Program database. Medical records were longitudinally reviewed from the time of diagnosis through September 2015. NRCd was defined as persistent symptoms at 6 mo after the initiation of a GFd and causes of NRCd as well as symptom evolution were detailed. The children without symptoms at 6 mo(responders) were compared with the NRCd group. Additionally, presenting signs and symptoms at the time of diagnosis of Ced among the responders and NRCd patients were collected and compared to identify any potential predictors for NRCd at 6 mo of GFd *** Six hundred and sixteen children were included. Ninety-one(15%) met criteria for NRCd. Most were female(77%). Abdominal pain [odds ratio(OR) 1.8 95% confidence interval(CI) 1.1-2.9], constipation(OR 3.1 95%CI 1.9-4.9) and absence of abdominal distension(OR for abdominal distension 0.4 95%CI 0.1-0.98) at diagnosis were associated with NRCd. NRCd was attributed to a wide variety of diagnoses with gluten exposure(30%) and constipation(20%) being the most common causes. Other causes for NRCd included lactose intolerance(9%), gastroesophageal reflux(8%), functional abdominal pain(7%), irritable bowel syndrome(3%), depression/anxiety(3%), eosinophilic esophagitis(2%), food allergy(1%), eating disorder(1%), gastric ulcer with Helicobacter pylori(1%), lymphocytic colitis(1%), aerophagia(1%) and undetermined(13%). 64% of children with NRCd

研究面临市场风险时,何种风险分担机制能更有效提升农户与经销商合作的稳定性。首先,市场行情差时,经销商不履行已签协议的背叛行为,本质是合作协议中没有合理的风险分担约定,或约定不合理。只有当违约远期回报大于当期履约收益时,参与者才有背叛的动力,现有常见的约定收购价格上下限作法,未对合作方的远期回报作精细和理性计算,易于导致违约发生。其次,依据合作博弈中稳定性及夏普利值的成本分担原理,建立了由一个经销商和多个农户构成的多人合作博弈模型,并以此为基础推导核的解空间及以资源禀赋多寡为加权值的风险分担公理值。讨论了特定管理背景下加权夏普利值与核稳定的影响因素与主要作用机理。本文所创立的风险分担理论框架与分析模型,已能够对微观农户合作进行风险分担具体计算和分析,后续无论从宏观角度讨论市场价格波动、还是微观角度研究个体风险偏好,都可以此(或至少以此路径)为基础。

This study explores how the chemical interaction between magnesium hydride(MgH_(2))and the additive CrO_(3) influences the hydrogen/lithium storage characteristics of MgH_(2).We have observed that a 5 wt.%CrO_(3) additive reduces the dehydrogenation activation energy of MgH_(2) by 68 kJ/mol and lowers the required dehydrogenation temperature by 80℃.CrO_(3) added MgH_(2) was also tested as an anode in an Li ion battery,and it is possible to deliver over 90%of the total theoretical capacity(2038 mAh/g).Evidence for improved reversibility in the battery reaction is found only after the incorporation of additives with MgH_(2).In depth characterization study by X-ray diffraction(XRd)technique provides convincing evidence that the CrO_(3) additive interacts with MgH_(2) and produces Cr/MgO *** free energy analyses confirm the thermodynamic feasibility of conversion from MgH_(2)/CrO_(3) to MgO/Cr,which is well supported by the identification of Cr(0)in the powder by X ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)*** high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EdS)we found evidence for the presence of 5 nm size Cr nanocrystals on the surface of MgO rock salt *** is also convincing ground to consider that MgO rock salt accommodates Cr in the *** observations support the argument that creation of active metal–metal dissolved rock salt oxide interface may be vital for improving the reactivity of MgH_(2),both for the improved storage of hydrogen and lithium.

Estimation of the plant-available water capacity(PAWC)of soils at a regional scale helps in adopting better land use planning,developing suitable irrigation schedules for crops,and optimizing the use of scarce water *** the current study,72 soil profiles were sampled from the Barossa region of South Australia to estimate pedo-transfer functions deduced from easily estimated soil *** functions were then used to estimate the fixed(10 and 33 kPa)and dynamic pressure head(h_(fc))water contents at field capacity(FC)for minimum drainage flux(0.01 and 0.001 cm d^(-1)),which serves as the upper boundary for plant-available water in *** estimated residual water content was corrected for subsoil constraints,especially the exchangeable sodium percentage(ESP).The results showed that the mean values of h_(fc)in sand-dominated light and medium textured soils(i.e.,sand,loamy sand,sandy loam,and loam)varied in a narrow range(15.8-18.2 kPa),whereas those in the clay-dominated heavy textured soils(i.e.,clay loam)showed a wide range(11.3-49.3 kPa).There were large differences in PAWC for dynamic FC(PAWC_(fc))and fixed FC at 10 kPa(PAWC10),33 kPa(PAWC33),and a mix of 10and 33 kPa(PAWC_(10,33))pressure heads depending on soil ***,the difference between PAWC at 10 kPa and h_(fc)(ΔPAWC_(10))was positive,whereas that between 33 kPa and h_(fc)(ΔPAWC_(33))was negative across all ***,the estimation of PAWC assuming a fixed FC at 10 and 33 kPa pressures(i.e.,PAWC_(10,33))for sandy,clay,and silty soils reduced the difference between fixed and dynamic pressure PAWCs tod by incorporating the impact of subsoil constraints,such as high ESP,which was more pronounced for clay and silty *** findings demonstrate the inherent inconsistencies between static pressure and flux-based dynamic FC estimations in *** heterogeneity,intra-texture variability,subsoil constraints,and swell

This paper presents the first-ever investigation of Menger fractal cubes'quasi-static compression and impact *** cubes with different void ratios were 3d printed using polylactic acid(PLA)with dimensions of 40 mm×40 mm×40 *** different orders of Menger cubes with different void ratios were considered,namely M1 with a void ratio of 0.26,M2 with a void ratio of 0.45,and M3with a void ratio of ***-static Compression tests were conducted using a universal testing machine,while the drop hammer was used to observe the behaviour under impact *** fracture mechanism,energy efficiency and force-time histories were *** the structured nature of the void formation and predictability of the failure modes,the Menger geometry showed some promise compared to other alternatives,such as foams and *** the increasing void ratio,the Menger geometries show force-displacement behaviour similar to hyper-elastic materials such as rubber and *** third-order Menger cubes showed the highest energy absorption efficiency compared to the other two geometries in this *** findings of the present work reveal the possibility of using additively manufactured Menger geometries as an energy-efficient system capable of reducing the transmitting force in applications such as crash barriers.
