Suicide is the second leading cause of death in youth globally; however, there is uncertainty about how best to intervene. Suicide rates are typically higher in males than females, while the converse is true for suicide attempts. we review this "gender paradox" in youth, and in particular, the age-dependency of these sex/gender differences and the developmental mechanisms that may explain them. Epidemiologic, genetic,neurodevelopmental and psychopathological research have identified suicidal behaviour risks arising from genetic vulnerabilities and sex/gender differences in early adverse environments, neurodevelopment, mental disorder and their complex interconnections. Further, evolving sex-/gender-defined social expectations and norms have been thought to influence suicide risk. In particular, how youth perceive and cope with threats and losses(including conforming to others' or one's own expectations of sex/gender identity) and adapt to pain(through substance use and helpseeking behaviours). Taken together, considering brain plasticity over the lifespan, these proposed antecedents to youth suicide highlight the importance of interventions that alter early environment(s)(e.g., childhood maltreatment) and/or one's ability to adapt to them. Further, such interventions may have more enduring protective effects, for the individual and for future generations, if implemented in youth.

Decline in subarachnoid haemorrhage volumes associated with the first wave of the COVID- 19 pandemic

Forty-four well-preserved specimens of Kouphichnium,a typical limuloid(horseshoe crab) trackway,are reported and systematically studied for the first time from continental Upper Permian to Lower Triassic successions in North China.A new ichnotaxonomic system of Kouphichnium is proposed according to the ichnotaxobase of limuloid trackways,including simple foot imprints(T),pusher imprints(P),median impressions(M) and genal spine impressions(GS).In total,one ichnogenus and six ichnospecies are recognised,one of which is new:Kouphichnium liulinensis *** Paramphibius is regarded as a synonym of Kouphichnium and the diagnoses of ichnogenus Kouphichnium and its two early ichnospecies,*** ichnospecies Kouphichnium lithographicum Oppel,and Kouphichnium didactylum willard,are revised.A morphological-palaeoethological pattern is proposed in reference to these ichnospecies from the continental Upper Permian to Lower Triassic successions in North *** six ichnospecies are assigned to six typesin the new ichnotaxonomic system and the locomotion rates of each type can be ranked by the possible speed index λ.The size of trackmaker is estimated from the external width of the trackway,and it shows a drastic decrease from the Late Permian to Early Triassic,followed by a gradual increase in the Early *** size variation of trackmakers(limuloids) during the Permian-Triassic transition,especially the drastic drop,probably reflects the intensive environmental stress during the biotic *** addition,the analysis of the sizes of pusher imprints(P) from certain well-preserved trackways suggests a potential sexual dimorphism of limuloids.

目的:系统评价阳极经颅直流电刺激(a-tDCS)对脑卒中患者上肢运动功能恢复的影响。方法:采用计算机检索Cochrane图书馆、PubMed、EMbase、CBMdisc、中国知网和万方数据库中关于a-tDCS对脑卒中患者上肢运动功能恢复的随机对照试验(RCTs),并对纳入研究的偏倚风险和证据质量进行评价,对符合相同结局指标的RCTs进行合并数据的Meta分析。结果:本研究共纳10篇RCT。Meta分析两个主要结局指标的结果显示:atDCS作用于患侧大脑运动皮层后,患者的Fugl-Meyer运动评分量表的上肢评分部分与假刺激组相比,其差异无统计学意义[wMD=3.39,95%CI(-2.35,9.13)];a-tDCS作用于患侧大脑运动皮层后,患者的jebsen-taylor手功能测试评分与假刺激组比较,其差异有统计学意义[wMD=-3.01,95%CI(-5.18,-0.85)]。GRADE系统推荐等级结果提示每个结局均为极低等级。结论:阳极经颅直流电刺激对脑卒中后患者上肢功能的改善有一定的作用,但仍有待开展大样本、多中心、方法科学规范的高质量RCT,以进一步验证其康复效果。
