背景与目的婴幼儿血管瘤具有快速增长及可能损毁容貌的特性，因此，应给予重视。本研究旨在探讨血管瘤的生长模式和残余病灶的危险因素。方法对1985—2000年间临床监护、未经任何治疗的血管瘤患儿进行随访调查研究。从病案资料中提取相关信息。访问患儿（或其家长）完成问卷调查表，请患儿到我们的门诊，对问卷调查表的相关内容进行讨论，并对患儿行体格检查。对血管瘤的各生长阶段情况进行记录，创建各生长阶段时问轴，如果有残余病灶，对其进行评估。结果共对97例患儿的137处血管瘤病灶进行评估。48％患儿有前期病变。8个月时瘤体尺寸达到最大。消退期平均在患儿2岁时开始，并于平均4岁时结束。69％患儿有残余病灶。表浅结节状血管瘤的残余病灶（74％）明显比深层血管瘤（25％）多（p.0．001；优势率8．4；95％可信区间2．4～29．1）。97％患儿出现因感染、溃疡、出血未经治疗而产生的瘢痕。结论血管瘤残余病灶会引起表皮损伤。血管瘤的生长模式与形成残余病灶的危险因素问无关联。这一结论将有助于更详细地预知血管瘤的预后情况，并将有助于判别哪些患儿需要治疗，哪些不需要。
