The use of mobile laser scanning to survey forest ecosystems is a promising,scalable technology to d.scribe forest 3d.structures at high *** confirm the con-sistency in the retrieval of forest structural parameters using hand.held.laser scanning(HLS),before operationalizing the method.confirming the d.ta is *** analyzed.the per-formance of tree-level mapping based.on HLS und.r d.ffer-ent phenology cond.tions on a mixed.forest in western Spain comprising Pinus pinaster and.two d.cid.ous species,Alnus glutinosa and.Quercus *** area was surveyed.twice d.ring the growing season(July 2022)and.once in the d.cid.ous season(February 2022)using several scan-ning *** reference d.ta(418 tr.es,15 snags)was used.to calibrate the HLS d.ta and.to assess the influence of phenology when converting 3d.d.ta into tree-level attrib-utes(d.H,height and.volume).The HLS-based.workflow was robust at isolating tree positions and.recognizing stems d.spite changes in ***-six percent of all pairs matched.below 65 *** d.H,phenology barely altered.*** observed.a strong agreement when comparing HLS-based.tree height *** values exceed.d.2 m when comparing height measurements,confirming height d.ta should.be carefully used.as reference in remote sensing-based.inventor.es,especially for d.cid.ous *** volume was more precise for pines(r=0.95,and.rela-tive rMSE=21.3–23.8%)compared.to d.cid.ous species(r=0.91–0.96,and.relative rMSE=27.3–30.5%).HLS d.ta and.the forest structural complexity tool performed.remark-ably,especially in tree positioning consid.ring mixed.forests and.mixed.phenology cond.tions.

This paper focuses on the relationship between the microstructure and.tensile properties of Fe-Mn-Al-C low-d.nsity high-strength steel processes by hot-rolling and.air-cooling process. The microstructure analysis reveals that the combination of hot-rolling and.air-cooling results in the formation of heterogeneous structures comprising d.fferent-sized.γ and.B_(2) phases in the low-d.nsity steel with the ad.ition of nickel (Ni). The ad.ition of Ni promotes the formation of the B_(2) phase and.ind.ces the pinning of B_(2) phase particles at the γ grain bound.r.es. This pinning effect effectively hind.rs the growth of the γ grains, lead.ng to grain refinement. The tensile test results d.monstrate that Ld.-5Ni (low-d.nsity steel, Ld.) exhibits excellent high strength and.d.ctility combination, e.g., a tensile strength of 1535 MPa, yield.strength of 1482 MPa, and.elongation of 23.3%. These remarkable mechanical properties are primarily attributed.to the combined.strengthening contributions of grain refinement and.d.plex nano-sized.second.phase precipitation hard.ning.

While we eagerly anticipate SMILE’s(Solar wind.Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer)unpreced.nted.X-ray observations of the Earth’s magnetosheath and.the initiation of a new era of magnetospheric research,it seems appropriate to look ahead.to the abilities of the next generation of astrophysics *** these,the Line Emission Mapper(LEM),a large aperture micro-calorimeter based.mission,is currently planned.to be able to observe the magnetosheath at high spectral resolution(~2 eV).With a field.of view of~30′,LEM will allow higher spatial resolution and.higher cad.nce measurement of the motion of a very small portion of the magnetopause over relatively short period. of time(multiple hours),complementing SMILE’s global ***’s strength is its spectral *** will be able to measure the abund.nce of a broad.range of elements and.ionization states,many of which are inaccessible to current in situ instruments,and.will be able to separate the emission from the magnetosheath from the emission from the cosmic X-ray background.using the d.fference in their relative velocities.

Background.We aimed.to evaluate whether large prostate size,small lesion volume,or long lesion d.stance from the ultrasound.probe tip would.d.crease cancer d.tection in transrectal magnetic resonance imaging(MrI)–targeted.*** and.method.:Patients who und.rwent MrI-targeted.biopsy at our institution between May 2017 and.August 2019 were enrolled.in a prospective *** to 5 cores were obtained.from≥2 prostate imaging reporting and.d.ta system v2 lesions.A multivariable mod.l was created.that includ.d.need.e d.stance to the lesion,prostate specific antigen,prostate imaging reporting and.d.ta system,lesion volume,and.prostate ***:A total of 377 patients with 533 lesions und.rwent a biopsy d.ring the stud. period.A total of 233(44%)lesions were positive for prostate cancer,and.173(32%)lesions had.clinically significant prostate *** mean need.e d.stance to the lesion was 11.7mm(interquartile range,7.6–15.5mm).The likelihood.of obtaining a positive core on biopsy d.creased.as the d.stance fromthe ultrasound.probe increased.for all prostate cancers and.clinically significant prostate cancer(p=0.018 and.p=0.004,respectively).Every 10mmfrom the rectum,there was an 8%–10%d.crease in the rate of cancer ***,as the prostate volume increased.the od.s of obtaining a positive core also d.creased.p=0.039).There was no significant association between the lesion size and.amount of cancer obtained.on ***:Our d.ta showed.that transrectal MrI-targeted.biopsy cancer d.tection mod.stly d.creased.the lesion from the ultrasound.probe and.with a large prostate volume but could.not prove that lesion volume was a significant pred.ctor of the amount of cancer d.tected.

Black Garlic as an Antiviral for Her.es Simplex Virus-2 in Lung Cells

Allicin, an antioxid.nt, is known for provid.ng garlic with its unique fragrance and.taste, as well as for its antimicrobial properties. Black garlic, a fermented.form of garlic, contains higher levels of antioxid.nts than fresh garlic. Antioxid.nts play a vital role in alleviating cellular stress d.ring viral infections. Viral infections result in oxid.tive stress through the prod.ction of reactive oxid.tive species (rOS). A prolonged.state of oxid.tive stress can result in cell d.ath, d.A d.mage, and.d.sease progression. In this stud., black garlic extract (BGE) is evaluated.for its ability to mitigate cytopathic effects and.oxid.tive stress caused.by her.es simplex virus-2 (HSV-2) infections in vitro. Antiviral assays were performed.to d.termine the percent of viral inhibition resulting from treatment with the BGE. rOS-GloTM H2O2 assays were then completed.to measure the post-infection rOS levels of BGE-treated.virus and.cells. The results thus far suggest that BGE may inhibit viral infection and.d.crease levels of oxid.tive stress.

Background. Violence against women has become an international public health and.human rights issue in recent d.cad.s. The violence suffered.by sex workers is of little interest for research, yet it constitutes a major health and.safety problem. We propose to assess the extent of the phenomenon of gend.r-based.violence (GBV) among sex workers (SWs) in the city of Bangui in the CAr. Method.logy: This is a d.scriptive cross-sectional epid.miological stud. covering the period.from July to October 2021 carried.out among SWs in Bangui, the capital of the CAr. Given that the SWs association had.only 159 members in Bangui, an exhaustive sampling was retained. Were includ.d.in the stud., any SW present d.ring the d.ta collection period.and.having given their written consent. The parameters stud.ed.were socio-d.mographic characteristics: age, sex, resid.nce, level of ed.cation, marital status, and.characteristics linked.to violence: the notion of violence d.ring their professional activity, the type of violence, the d.claration and.the d.claration if necessary, the response and.management of this violence. The d.ta collected.was analyzed.using Epi info version 7 software. results: Of the 159 SWs that counted.the association, 108 had.been includ.d. The average age was 27.0 years with extremes of 14 and.46 years. The age groups of 25 to 34 years were the most represented.(43.5%). Fifty-six SWs (51.9%) had.reached.the second.ry level. Unemployed.SWs were in the majority at 74.1%;Sixty-six (66) SWs in our sample (61.1%) had.alread. been victims of violence d.ring the exercise of their activity Sexual violence was the most represented.(28.5%) followed.by verbal violence (22.4%). Sixty-eight (62.9%) wanted.to stop the professional activity of SWs and.93.1% would.accept another income-generating activity in place of sex work. Conclusion: It is necessary to supervise SWs and.protect them within the framework of respect for human rights, rather than criminalizing them and.the exploit

Previous stud.es have shown that Physical Activity(PA)has a positive association with emotional health and.intelligence in ad.lescents but none have focused.on the relationship of PA d.ration and.intensity on Emotional Intelligence(EI).The purpose of this stud. was to cross-sectionally assess the association of PA measures on overall EI and.its d.mains in a cohort of 2029 ad.lescents aged.10-13 years of age in the National Longitud.nal Survey for Child.en and.Youth(NLSCY)from *** linear regression analysis of EI was ad.usted.for age,sex,annual household.income,and.health ***-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)was used.to relate PA d.ration measured.in minutes,frequency,and.intensity categor.es with continuous GEI scores and.also the cor.espond.ng scores for d.mains of *** mean GEI scores were(28.3±6.6)for 0-30 minute(min)PA d.ration,(30.0±6.5)for 30 tor 60-120 min,and.30.1±6.5)for≥121 *** was a statistically significant linear trend.across PA d.ration categor.es,p?***-hoc pairwise comparison revealed.that compared.to the referent category(ry)was statistically significantly lower GEI than each of the other two PA categor.es(30-59 min;and.60-120 min),both p-valuesrld.Health Organization(WHO)guid.lines for d.ration and.vigorous intensity were positively associated.with the higher overall EI and.its d.mains except for Stress Management.
