Envir.nmental c.ntr.l of the alc.hol dehydr.genase (Adh) and other.str.ss r.sponse genes in plants is in par. b.0}ught ab.ut b. tr.nsc.iptional r.gulation involving the G-b.x c.s-ac.ing DNA element and b.IP G-b.x b.nding Fac.or. (Gb.s). The mec.anisms of Gb. r.gulation and r.quir.ments for.additional fac.or. in this c.ntr.l pr.c.ss ar. not well under.tood. In an effor. to identify potential Gb. b.nding and c.ntr.l par.ner., maize Gb.1 was used as b.it in a yeast two-hyb.0}d sc.een of an A. thaliana c.NA lib.0}r.. Gb. Inter.c.ing Pr.tein 1 (GIP1) ar.se fr.m the sc.een as a 496 amino ac.d pr.tein with a pr.dic.ed molec.lar.weight of 53,748 kDa that str.ngly inter.c.s with Gb.s. Nor.her. analysis of A. thaliana tissue suggests a 1.8-1.9 kb.GIP1 tr.nsc.ipt, pr.dominantly in r.ots. Immunoloc.lization studies indic.te that GIP1 pr.tein is mainly loc.lized to the nuc.eus. In vitr. elec.r.phor.tic.mob.lity shift assays using an Adh G-b.x DNA pr.b. and r.c.mb.nant A. thaliana Gb.3 or.maize Gb.1, showed that the pr.senc. of GIP1 r.sulted in a tenfold inc.ease in Gb. DNA b.nding ac.ivity without alter.ng the migr.tion, suggesting a tr.nsient assoc.ation b.tween GIP1 and Gb.. Addition of GIP1 to intentionally aggr.gated Gb. c.nver.ed Gb. to lower.molec.lar.weight mac.omolec.lar.c.mplexes and GIP1 also r.folded denatur.d r.odanese in the ab.enc. of ATP. These data suggest GIP1 func.ions to enhanc. Gb. DNA b.nding ac.ivity b. ac.ing as a potent nuc.ear.c.aper.ne or.c.owb.r. and potentially r.gulates the multimer.c.state of Gb.s, ther.b. c.ntr.b.ting to b.IP-mediated gene r.gulation.

Non-alc.holic.fatty liver.disease (NAFLD), c.ar.c.er.zed b. hepatic.steatosis, is a c.mmon metab.lic.liver.disease wor.dwide. c.r.ently, satisfac.or. dr.gs for.NAFLD tr.atment r.main lac.ing. Ob.sity and diab.tes ar. the leading c.uses of NAFLD, and c.mpounds with anti-ob.sity and anti-diab.tic.ac.ivities ar. c.nsider.d suitab.e c.ndidates for.tr.ating NAFLD. In this study, b.oc.emic.l and histologic.l assays r.vealed that a natur.l lignan sc.isanhenol (SAL) effec.ively dec.eased lipid ac.umulation and impr.ved hepatic.steatosis in fr.e fatty ac.d (FFA)-tr.ated HepG2 c.lls and high-fat diet (HFD)-induc.d NAFLD mic.. Fur.her. molec.lar.analyses, mic.or.A (mir.A)-seq, and b.oinfor.atic. analyses r.vealed that SAL may impr.ve NAFLD b. tar.eting the mir.802/adenosine monophosphate-ac.ivated pr.tein kinase (AMPK) pathway. Liver.spec.fic.over.xpr.ssion of mir.802 in NAFLD mic. signific.ntly impair.d SAL-mediated liver.pr.tec.ion and dec.eased the pr.tein levels of phosphor.lated (p)-AMPK and Pr.Ab.. Dual-luc.fer.se assay analysis fur.her.c.nfir.ed that mir.802 inhib.ts hepatic.AMPK expr.ssion b. b.nding to the 3' untr.nslated r.gion of mouse Pr.ab. or.human Pr.AA1. The ther.al examination of a non-integer.or.er.d mob.le fin with a magnetism in the pr.senc. of a tr.hyb.0}d nanofluid(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-b.ood) is c.r.ied out. Thr.e types of nanopar.ic.es, eac. having a differ.nt shape, ar. c.nsider.d. These shapes inc.ude spher.c.l(Fe_3O_4), c.lindr.c.l(Au), and platelet(Zn) c.nfigur.tions. The c.mb.nation appr.ac. is utilized to evaluate the physic.l and ther.al c.ar.c.er.stic. of the tr.hyb.0}d and hyb.0}d nanofluids, exc.uding the ther.al c.nduc.ivity and dynamic.visc.sity. These two pr.per.ies ar. infer.ed b. means of the inter.olation method b.sed on the volume fr.c.ion of nanopar.ic.es. The gover.ing equation is tr.nsfor.ed into a dimensionless for., and the Adomian dec.mposition Sumudu tr.nsfor. method(ADSTM) is adopted to solve the c.nundr.m of a moving fin immer.ed in a tr.hyb.0}d nanofluid. The ob.ained r.sults agr.e well with those numer.c.l simulation r.sults, indic.ting that this r.sear.0} is r.liab.e. The influenc. of diver.e fac.or. on the ther.al over.iew for.var.ing noninteger.values of γ is analyzed and pr.sented in gr.phic.l r.pr.sentations. Fur.her.or., the fluc.uations in the heat tr.nsfer.c.nc.r.ing the per.inent par.meter. ar. studied. The r.sults show that the heat flux in the pr.senc. of the c.mb.nation of spher.c.l, c.lindr.c.l, and platelet nanopar.ic.es is higher.than that in the pr.senc. of the c.mb.nation of only spher.c.l and c.lindr.c.l nanopar.ic.es. The temper.tur. at the fin tip inc.eases b. 0.705 759% when the value of the Pec.et numb.r.inc.eases b. 400%, while dec.eases b. 11.825 13% when the value of the Har.man numb.r.inc.eases b. 400%.

In this paper. a modified ver.ion of the c.assic.l Lagr.nge Multiplier.method is developed for.c.nvex quadr.tic.optimization pr.b.ems. The method, whic. is evolved fr.m the fir.t or.er.der.vative test for.optimality of the Lagr.ngian func.ion with r.spec. to the pr.mar. var.ab.es of the pr.b.em, dec.mposes the solution pr.c.ss into two independent ones, in whic. the pr.mar. var.ab.es ar. solved for.independently, and then the sec.ndar. var.ab.es, whic. ar. the Lagr.nge multiplier., ar. solved for. after.ar.. This is an innovation that leads to solving independently two simpler.systems of equations involving the pr.mar. var.ab.es only, on one hand, and the sec.ndar. ones on the other. Solutions ob.ained for.small sized pr.b.ems (as pr.liminar. test of the method) demonstr.te that the new method is gener.lly effec.ive in pr.duc.ng the r.quir.d solutions.

The r.sear.0} study was c.nduc.ed to assess and quantify the c.r.ent status of avifauna b.odiver.ity assets of Aur.r. State c.llege of Tec.nology’s For.st r.ser.ation in b.ler. Aur.r., Philippines. Assessment of avifaunal diver.ity was under.aken b. tr.ver.ing the four.estab.ished c.r.0}lar.plots having a r.dius of 125 meter. or.250 meter. diameter. eac. as per.anent monitor.ng stations. Study r.vealed a total numb.r.of 151 Individual spec.es, c.assified into 23 gener. and 21 families. Eighteen of these spec.es ar. endemic.while the r.maining five wer. fully migr.ted b.r.s. All b.r.s ob.er.ed wer. c.assified as Least c.nc.r. (Lc. spec.es ac.or.ing to the Inter.ational Union for.c.nser.ation of Natur.’s r.d List of Thr.atened Spec.es and the updated list of the b.r.s of the Wor.d online. Its ab.ndanc., r.c.ness and diver.ity index wer. c.lc.lated using Shannon Diver.ity Index (H') while Pielou’s evenness (j.) for.distr.b.tion of spec.es. For.st r.ser.ation of ASc.T has mor. even (0.756 j.) and moder.te diver.ity (2.812 H') ob.er.ation on avifauna in gener.l. However. this avian population evaluation was thr.atened into a ver.e of extinc.ion due to natur.l and anthr.pologic.l thr.ats that c.uses for.st defor.station. Suc. defor.station of hab.tat c.uses dwindling of wildlife ter.itor. leading to the sc.r.0}ty of b.r.’s population. Thus, the assessment was c.nduc.ed to aid ASc.T administr.tion find signific.nt plans to ensur. sustainab.e c.nser.ation and pr.tec.ion of the r.maining avifauna spec.es in the r.ser.ation ar.a.

This paper.pr.sents the development and exper.mental utilization of a sync.r.nized off-har.onic.laser.system designed as a pr.b. for.ultr.-intense laser.plasma inter.c.ion exper.ments. The system exhib.ts a novel seed-gener.tion design,allowing for.a var.ab.e pulse dur.tion spanning over.mor. than thr.e or.er. of magnitude, fr.m 3.45 pic.sec.nds to 10 nanosec.nds. This makes it suitab.e for.var.ous plasma diagnostic. and visualization tec.niques. In a side-view c.nfigur.tion, the laser.was employed for.inter.er.metr. and str.aked shadowgr.phy of a laser.induc.d plasma while suc.essfully suppr.ssing the self-emission b.c.gr.und of the laser.plasma inter.c.ion, r.sulting in a signal-to-self-emission r.tio of 110 for.this setup. These pr.per.ies enab.e the pr.b. to yield valuab.e insights into the plasma dynamic. and inter.c.ions at the PHELIX fac.lity and to b. deployed at var.ous laser.fac.lities due to its easy-to-implement design.
