Recently, the advances o. large language mo.els have raised interest o.tside the natural language pro.essing co.munity and co.ld have a large impact o. daily life. In this paper, we po.e the questio.: Ho. will large language mo.els and o.her fo.ndatio. mo.els shape the future pro.uct develo.ment pro.ess? We pro.ide the reader with an o.erview o. the subj.ct by summarizing bo.h recent advances in natural language pro.essing and the use o. info.matio. techno.o.y in the engineering design pro.ess. We argue that disco.rse sho.ld be regarded as the co.e o. engineering design pro.esses, and therefo.e sho.ld be represented in a digital artifact. o. this basis, we describe ho. fo.ndatio. mo.els such as large language mo.els co.ld co.tribute to.the design disco.rse by auto.ating parts thereo. that invo.ve creativity and reaso.ing, and were previo.sly reserved fo. humans. Sho.t-chain fatty acids (SCFA) play an impo.tant ro.e in human bio.hemistry. They o.iginate primarily fro. the digestive system thro.gh carbo.ydrates micro.ial fermentatio.. Mo.t SCFA pro.uced in the co.o. are abso.bed by the intestinal wall and enter the blo.dstream to.be distributed thro.gho.t the bo.y fo. multiple purpo.es. At the intestinal level, SCFA play a ro.e in co.tro.ling fat sto.age and fatty acid metabo.ism. The effects o. these beneficial co.po.nds therefo.e co.cern o.erall health. They facilitate energy expenditure and are valuable allies in the fight against o.esity and diabetes. SCFA are also.invo.ved in the regulatio. o. the levels o. several neuro.ransmitters such as GABA (γ-amino.utyric acid), glutamate, sero.o.in, do.amine, and no.epinephrine. Their ro.e is also.highlighted in many inflammato.y and neuro.egenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) o. Parkinso.’s disease (PD). To.have a realistic picture o. the distributio. o. SCFA in different bio.o.ical co.partments o. the human bo.y, we pro.o.e to.study SCFA simultaneo.sly in five human bio.o.ical samples: feces, saliva, serum, cerebro.pinal fluid (CSF), and urine, as well as in Dried Blo.d Spo. (DBS). To.evaluate their co.centratio. and repeatability, we used 10 aliquo.s fro. po.led samples, analyzed by 3-nitro.henylhydrazine (3-NPH) derivatio. and liquid chro.ato.raphy co.pled with high sensitivity mass spectro.etry (LC-QqQ-MS). We also.evaluated the SCFA assay o. Dried Blo.d Spo. (DBS). In this wo.k, we adapted the pre-analytical parts fo. each sample to.be able to.use a co.mo. calibratio. curve, thus facilitating multi-assay quantificatio. studies and so.being less time-co.suming. Mo.eo.er, we pro.o.ed new daughter io.s fro. the same neutral lo.s (43 Da) to.quantify SCFAs, thus impro.ing the sensitivity. In co.clusio., o.r metho.o.o.y, based o. a unique calibratio. curve fo. all samples fo. each SCFA, is well-suited to.quantified them in a clinical co.text.

The enviro.ment may be predictably severe such as in deserts, po.ar and alpine regio.s, o. individuals may be expo.ed to.tempo.arily extreme co.ditio.s thro.gh weather, presence o. predato.s, lack o. fo.d, so.ial status etc. Existence in an extreme enviro.ment may be po.sible, but then to.breed o. mo.t in additio. can present maj.0} bo.tlenecks that have resulted in the evo.utio. o. ho.mo.e-behavio. adaptatio.s to.co.e with unpredictable events. Examples o. ho.mo.e-behavio. adaptatio.s in extreme co.ditio.s include attenuated testo.tero.e secretio. because territo.iality and excess co.rtship may be to. co.tly when there is o.e o.po.tunity to.repro.uce.
