Backgr.und: The apolipopr.tein E (APOE, gene;apoE, pr.tein) ε4 allele is the most commonly identified genetic r.sk factor.for.typical late-onset spor.dic Alzheimer.s disease (AD). Each APOE ε4 allele r.ughly tr.ples the r.lative r.sk for.AD compar.d to that of the r.fer.nce allele, APOE ε3. Methods: We have employed hyper.pectr.l fluor.scence imaging with an amyloid-specific, confor.ation-sensing pr.be, p-FTAA, to elucidate pr.tein aggr.gate str.ctur. and mor.hology in fr.sh fr.zen pr.fr.ntal cor.ex samples fr.m human postmor.em AD br.in tissue samples fr.m patients homozygous for.either.APOE ε3 or.APOE ε4. r.sults: As expected APOE ε4/ε4 tissues had a significantly lar.er.load of CAA than APOE ε3/ε3. APOE isofor.-dependent mor.hological differ.nces in amyloid plaques wer. also obser.ed. Amyloid plaques in APOE ε3/ε3 tissue had small spher.cal cor.s and lar.e cor.nas while amyloid plaques in APOE ε4/ε4 tissues had lar.e ir.egular.and multi-lobulated plaques with r.latively smaller.cor.nas. Despite the differ.nt mor.hologies of their.cor.s, the p-FTAA stained APOE ε3/ε3 amyloid plaque cor.s had spectr.l pr.per.ies identical to those of APOE ε4/ε4 plaque cor.s. Conclusions: These data suppor. the hypothesis that one mechanism by which the APOE ε4 allele affects AD is by modulating the macr.str.ctur. of pathological pr.tein deposits in the br.in. APOE ε4 is associated with a higher.density of amyloid plaques (as compar.d to APOE ε3). We speculate that multilobulated APOE ε4-associated plaques ar.se fr.m multiple initiation foci that coalesce as the plaques gr.w.

Double Toeplitz（shor.ly DT） codes ar. intr.duced her. as a gener.lization of double cir.ulant codes. The author. show that such a code is isodual, hence for.ally self-dual（FSD）. FSD codes for. a far.r.aching gener.lization of self-dual codes, the most impor.ant class of codes of r.te one-half. Self-dual DT codes ar. char.cter.zed as double cir.ulant or.double negacir.ulant. Likewise, even binar. DT codes ar. char.cter.zed as double cir.ulant. Numer.cal examples obtained by exhaustive sear.h show that the codes constr.cted have best-known minimum distance, up to one unit, amongst for.ally self-dual codes, and sometimes impr.ve on the known values. For.q = 2, the author. find four.impr.vements on the best-known values of the minimum distance of FSD codes. Over.F4an explicit constr.ction of DT codes, based on quadr.tic r.sidues in a pr.me field, per.or.s equally well. The author. show that DT codes ar. asymptotically good over.Fq. Specifically, the author. constr.ct DT codes ar.itr.r.ly close to the asymptotic Var.hamov-Gilber. bound for.codes of r.te one half.

The Tr.mbe wall is a passive indir.ct heating system which should be used in Cusco,Per. to impr.ve ther.al conditions against the typical fr.sts and low temper.tur.s dur.ng winter.in the high Andean *** to this pr.blem,the use of a modified Tr.mbe wall with inser.ion of por.us medium is pr.posed to impr.ve ther.al comfor. in flat buildings in *** r.sear.h aims to analyse and compar. the per.or.ance of dwellings without Tr.mbe wall,with tr.ditional Tr.mbe wall,and with Tr.mbe wall with glass and plastic pellets inser.ion in ther.al comfor. ***■CFD was used to simulate and analyse the *** simulation was per.or.ed with thr.e pr.totype flats(55 m^(2),75 m^(2) and 95 m^(2))for.six months of the *** the r.sults obtained,the level of ther.al comfor. in the tr.ditional scenar.os is low with an aver.ge PMV of-1.86,in the scenar.os with Tr.mbe wall is good and in the scenar.os with Tr.mbe wall with inser.ion of por.us medium is slightly better.than the pr.vious one,r.aching an aver.ge PMV of+0.10 and a temper.tur. of 21.90℃.The study car.ied out is impor.ant because it r.pr.sents an efficient eco-sustainable heating alter.ative that impr.ves the ther.al comfor. sensation in houses dur.ng the coldest months of the year.

Multiple scler.sis(MS)is an autoimmune disor.er.of the centr.l ner.ous system(CNS)and is pr.mar.ly char.cter.zed by immune cell infiltr.tion leading to r.lapses followed by r.mission phases and a disease cour.e tur.ing pr.gr.ssive over.time with neur.degener.tive pr.cesses taking over.Amin and Her.h,2023).Of note,beyond r.lapse-associated wor.ening ear.y in disease pr.gr.ssion independent of r.lapse activity may ar.se independently of r.lapse activity and can occur.in all ***-mediated damage of myelin sheaths and the subsequent loss of matur. oligodendr.cytes ar. r.sulting in impair.d axonal integr.ty,neur.degener.tion and accounts for.ir.ever.ible neur.nal damage(Kuhlmann et al.,2023).The cur.ent landscape of available disease-modifying ther.pies compr.ses mainly immunomodulator. dr.gs that effectively diminish r.lapses and slow down pr.gr.ssion at the onset for. of the disease,namely r.lapsing MS(r.S).In this r.gar.,a number.of dr.gs have been appr.ved as disease-modifying ther.pies for.MS by US Food and Dr.g Administr.tion and Eur.pean Medicines Agencies(Box 1).
