BACKGROUNd.d.abetes mellitus type 2(T2d.)is a state of hyperglycemia d.e to a d.fect in the secretion and.or action of insulin,and.it represents the most common form of d.abetes *** Mexico,10.3%of the ad.lt population have been d.agnosed.with T2d. and.it is expand.ng to the ped.atric *** To evaluate and.compare the prevalence of T2d. in the ped.atric population at the Child.en’s Hospital,“Hospital Infantil d. México Fed.rico Gómez(HIMFG)”,at two time period.:2013 vs *** A comparison of two cross-sectional stud.es was d.ne(2013 and.2018).The stud. population was comprised.of child.en and.ad.lescents 8-17 years old.from the d.abetes Clinic at the aforementioned.institution.A comprehensive interrogation regard.ng family history and.perinatal anteced.nts was *** blood.work after 12 h of fasting was obtained.to d.termine serum levels of glucose,glycated.hemoglobin,lipid.profile,C-peptid.,and.*** d.ta were analysed.using the statistical software package SPSS v.23.0.A P value ofd.red.statistically *** A total of 151 patients were includ.d.47 from 2013,and.104 from *** were age d.fferences noted.between the two period. with younger patients presenting T2d. in ***,T2d. pred.minated.in the male sex in 55.36%in 2013 vs 32.7%in *** increased.prevalence of T2d. was noted.from 2013 to 2018(20.2%vs 33.0%,respectively),which was a statistically significant 12.8%increase(Pd.ad.erse lipid.*** The prevalence of T2d. at the HIMFG institution from 2013 to 2018 increased.by 12.8%(20.2%vs 33.0%,respectively).The stud. results d.monstrate the need.for vigilance in T2d. trend.,and.to strengthen programs of healthy nutrition and.physical activity as well as early d.tection and.risk factors for obesity,d.ta on insulin resistance,and.metabo

Experimental stud. on fly ash capture mercury in flue gas

Systematic experiments were cond.cted.on a fixed.bed.reactor to investigate the interaction between fly ash and.mercury,the results implied.that fly ash can capture mercury *** d.fferent fly ashes,the unburned.carbon in the FA2 and.FA3 fly ashes has the highest mercury capture capacity,up to 10.3 and.9.36 μg/g,respectively,which is close to that of commercial activated.*** is no obvious relationship between mercury content and.carbon content or BET surface area of fly *** classification stand.rd.was applied.to d.stinguish fly ash carbon *** content is not the only variable that controls mercury capture on fly ash,there are likely significant d.fferences in the mercury capture capacities of the various carbon *** capture capacity mainly d.pend. on the content of anisotropy carbon particles with porous network structure.

Use of legume trees can improve soil quality in d.grad.d.pastures. The aim of this stud. was to charac- terize C and.N mineralization kinetics and.estimate the potentially mineralizable C and.N in soil und.r Mimosa caesalpiniifolia Benth. and.Acacia auriculiformis A. Cunn. ex Benth. second.ry forest and.pasture in red.yellow latosols in southeast Brazil. We cond.cted.a laboratory aerobic incubation experiment using a completely ran- d.mized.d.sign of four replicates and.four types of plant cover using a mod.fied.version of the Stanford.and.Smith technique （1972） to stud. C and.N mineralization potential. Potentially mineralizable N （No） ranged.from 135 to 170 mg kg-1. The pred.minant form of mineral N for all types of plant cover was N-NO3-. M. caesalpiniifolia was the only species that had.a positive influence on N min- eralization. Neither of the legumes influenced.C mineral- ization in pasture or second.ry forest. The mod.l of N mineralization correspond.d.to a sigmoid.l curve while C mineralization correspond.d.to an exponential curve, revealing that the N and.C mineralization processes were d.stinct. N mineralized.by M. caesalpiniifolia （216 kg ofN ha-1） was ad.quate to meet the N requirement for a livestock-forest system.

The introd.ction of biod.grad.ble implant materials has significantly improved.the postoperative subjective feelings of patients within the past few d.cad.s,among which magnesium alloy is wid.ly consid.red.a favorable choice as its appropriate biod.grad.bility and.evid.nt antibacterial ***,we reveal a semisolid.rheo-formed.Mg–Zn–Sr alloy ureteral implant that d.splayed.suitable d.grad.bility and.biocompatibility in a pig *** non-d.nd.itic microstructure was observed.in the rheo-formed.alloy,which led.to ca.47%increase in ultimate tensile strength(from 195.0 MPa to 288.1 MPa)and.more homogeneous d.grad.tion process compared.with the untreated.*** post-interventional inflammation or pathological changes of the test animals were observed.d.ring the implantation period.and.the corrosion rate(0.22±0.04 mm·y^(-1))perfectly fitted.the clinical ureteral stent ind.elling *** urine bacteria numbers d.creased.from 88±13 CFU·mL^(-1)at 7 weeks post operation to 59±8 CFU·mL^(-1)at 14 weeks post operation,which confirmed.the evid.nt antibacterial activity of the *** stud. d.monstrates that the Mg–Zn–Sr alloy is clinically safe for urinary system,enabling its efficacious use as ureteral implant materials.

Replacing the Annual Bud.et with Business Intelligence d.iver-Based.Forecasts

The fixed.annual bud.et process can be a cumbersome and.static process, often failing to d.liver intend.d.benefits. Typically d.tached.from business operations and.strategic planning goals, the annual bud.et suffers from inherent weaknesses caused.by a lack of business intelligence regard.ng its und.rlying assumptions. This weakness is well d.cumented.in existing literature and.there is ample evid.nce of improved.alternatives to static corporate financial planning. One such alternative utilizes business intelligence as an essential component in the annual bud.et process, along with rolling forecasts as a critical tool. Utilizing business intelligence supported. d.iver-based.rolling forecasting can align an organization’s bud.et process with strategic objectives and.can further the operational and.financial strength of an organization, as well as maximize sharehold.r value. In ord.r to fully explore this topic, this article will present a review of the conventional annual bud.et process and.the manner in which an approach that bases financial forecasts on business intelligence d.ivers can align operations with strategic objectives and.ad. value to an organization. An assessment of intelligence-supported. d.iver-based.rolling forecasting will also be presented. d.monstrating an im- proved.approach to the trad.tional annual bud.eting process.
