Em.ssions from.biom.ss burning challenge efforts to curb air pollution in cities downwind of fire-prone regions,as they contribute large am.unts of brown carbon(Br C)and black carbon(BC)*** investigated the patterns of Br C and BC concentrations using Aethalom.ter data(atλ=370 and 880 nm.respectively)spanning four years at a site im.acted by the outflow of *** data required to be post processed for the shadowing effect since,without correction,concentrations would be between 29%and 35%*** Br C concentrations were consistently higher than the BC concentrations,indicating the prevalence of aerosols from.biom.ss *** results were supported by the Angstrom.coefficient(A_(370/880)),with values predom.nantly larger than 1(m.an±standard deviation:1.25±0.31).A_(370/880)values below 1 were m.re prevalent during the wet season,which suggests a contribution from.fossil fuel *** observed sharp Br C and BC seasonal signals,with m.an m.nim.m.concentrations of 0.40μg/m.(3)and 0.36μg/m.(3),respectively,in the wet season,and m.an m.xim.m.concentrations of 2.05μg/m.(3)and 1.53μg/m.(3)in the dry *** largest concentrations were observed when northerly air m.sses m.ved over regions with a high density of fire *** burning of residential solid waste and industrial com.ustion caused extrem. Br C and BC concentrations under favourable wind *** neither pollutant is included in any am.ient air quality standards,our results suggest that transboundary sm.ke m.y ham.er efforts to m.et the World Health Organization guidelines for fine particles.

Patient, Provider and System.Factors Im.acting on the Diagnosis and m.nagem.nt of Lung Cancer Care in Australia

Background: Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Australia, with only m.dest im.rovem.nts in survival. This study aim. to identify factors im.acting on diagnosis and m.nagem.nt of lung cancer with particular reference to Australian prim.ry care. m.thods: A sequential m.xed m.thod m.dified approach em.loying interview and a two-phased survey technique. Following telephonic interviews with 31 health professionals (individuals representing general practitioners, specialized physicians, nurses and allied health practitioners), interview data was analysed using qualitative them.tic analysis, and surveys using descriptive statistics. Em.rgent them.s were organised under patient, provider and system.factors. Interviews ceased upon saturation of data. Results: m.ltiple patient, provider and system. issues were seen to contribute to adverse health outcom.s. There is a strong relationship between sm.king and outcom.s, and factors related to higher sm.king rates such as a lower socioeconom.c status. For sm.kers, guilt and/or denial was considered a reason for delay in the decision to seek m.dical care for cough or shortness of breath. Aboriginal people under-report m.rbidity related to sm.king and chronic obstructive pulm.nary disease;other patients fail to recognise the significance of their sym.tom.. Discussion: Despite the poor prognosis of lung cancer diagnosis, increased awareness of presentation and treatm.nt options can address disparities in health outcom.s.

在300~5000℃、应变速率为0.1~0.0001 s−1的条件下,在万能试验机上对Al-5.6Zn-2m.铝合金进行热压缩试验,以确定动态再结晶开始时的加工硬化速率曲线σ_(c)(ε_(c))l以及关键特征σ_(c)(ε_(c))l、σ_(p)(ε_(p))和σ_(ss)与Z系数之间的相关性。使用了四个本构模型,Arrhenius模型、改进的Johnson-Cook模型(m.C)、改进的Zerilli-Arm.trong模型(m.A)和开发的人工神经网络(ANN)。结果表明,ANN型模型和Arrhenius模型的相对误差的绝对平均值最低,分别为0.486%和3.36%,m.A型模型和m.C型模型的相对误差的绝对平均值较高,分别为8.84%和3.93%。由于Arrhenius模型能够处理各种因素之间的非线性关系,因此它被认为是最合适的预测模型,但在材料性质未知或实验数据有限的情况下,m.C模型可能是一种更简单的替代方法。m.A模型不适合估计热压缩时的流变应力。此外,训练最好的神经网络模型的预测性能最好,相对误差的绝对平均值为0.486%,R值为0.99。

Living photovoltaics are m.crobial electrochem.cal devices that use whole cell–electrode interactions to convert solar energy to *** bottleneck in these technologies is the lim.ted electron transfer between the m.crobe and the electrode *** study focuses on enhancing this transfer by engineering a polydopam.ne(PDA)coating on the outer m.m.rane of the photosynthetic m.crobe Synechocystis *** coating provides a conductive nanoparticle shell to increase electrode adhesion and im.rove m.crobial charge extraction.A com.ination of scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.,transm.ssion electron m.croscopy(TEm.,UV–Vis absorption,and Ram.n spectroscopy m.asurem.nts were used to characterize the nanoparticle shell under various synthesis *** cell viability and activity were further assessed through oxygen evolution,growth curve,and confocal fluorescence m.croscopy *** results show sustained cell growth and detectable PDA surface coverage under slightly alkaline conditions(pH 7.5)and at low initial dopam.ne(DA)concentrations(1 m.).The exoelectrogenicity of the cells prepared under these conditions was also characterized through cyclic voltam.etry(CV)and chronoam.erom.try(CA).The m.asurem.nts show a three-fold enhancem.nt in the photocurrent at an applied bias of 0.3 V(***/AgCl[3 m.KCl])com.ared to non-coated *** study thus lays the fram.work for engineering the next generation of living photovoltaics with im.roved perform.nces using biosynthetic electrodes.

The genus Argem.ne L.(Papaveraceae)is found widely distributed in m.xico’s Chihuahuan Desert(CD).Som. species of this genus are of phytochem.cal or ethnobotanical *** are inedible plants considered as *** date they have not been broadly studied;thus,their ecology is,to our knowledge,*** present work was centered around carrying out a m.rphom.tric analysis and the determ.nation of m.nerals in the soil and seeds of the wild populations of Argem.ne at sites belonging to two ecoregions of the CD in *** April 2021 and April 2022,seeds of Argem.ne spp.,and soil sam.les were collected at 10 sites of the *** seeds were selected under a random.zed design,and weight,length,diam.ter,thickness,buoyancy,and m.neral content were *** soil sam.les were obtained under the m.xican regulation NOm.021-RECNAT-2000,and determ.nations of m.neral content,electrical conductivity,apparent density,and soluble anions were *** inform.tion obtained was grouped by variable,species,and place of *** statistical tests consisted of an ANOVA,Tukey m.ans tests considering p≤0.05,and a Principal Com.onents *** pleiacantha exhibited differences in term. of weight(F=54.79,p=0.001),length(F=90.83,p=0.001),thickness(F=104.89,p=0.001),and diam.ter(F=155.82,p=0.001),and the differences in Argem.ne m.xicana were in weight(F=46.71,p=0.001),thickness(F=187.49,p=0.001),length(F=191.56,p=0.001),and diam.ter(F=215.83,p=0.001).The evaluated seeds reached their m.xim.l im.ibition velocity at 24 h of *** content of the m.cro-and m.cro-nutrients analyzed in the seeds and soil suggest a tight relation with the m.rphom.tric characteristics of the seeds.
