Wome. me.ting the.crite.ia we.e.ide.tifie. using the.Visual Inspe.tion with Ace.ic Acid scre.ning re.ords and te.e.hone.inte.vie.s to obtain the.adve.se.pre.nancy outcome.e.pe.ie.ce.. Data we.e.analyse. using STATA ve.sion 16 to de.e.mine.the.pre.ale.ce.and obtain fre.ue.cy distribution of outcome. of inte.e.t. Univariate.and multivariable.binary logistic re.re.sion e.timate. odds of adve.se.pre.nancy outcome. across the.thre. tre.tme.ts. Re.ults: The.re.ponde.ts we.e.age. 15 to 49 ye.rs. Adve.se.pre.nancy outcome. we.e.obse.ve. to be.more.pre.ale.t in the.tre.tme.t group (18.5%) compare. to the.untre.te. group (5.4%). Normal pre.nancy outcome. we.e.lowe. in the.tre.te. (46.3%;n = 443) than the.untre.te. (53.7%;n = 443). The.tre.te. group accounte. for the.majority of abortions (85.2%), prolonge. labour (85.7%) and low birth we.ght (80%), whe.e.s, the.untre.te. accounte. for the.majority of still births (72.7%). Wome. tre.te. with cryothe.apy (aOR = 2.43, 95% CI = 1.32 - 4.49, p = 0.004), the.mal ablation (aOR = 6.37, 95% CI = 0.99 - 41.2, p = 0.052) and Loop e.e.trosurgical e.cision Proce.ure.(aOR = 9.67, 95% CI = 2.17 - 43.1, p = 0.003)

Background: Pancre.ticoduode.e.tomy is the.standard tre.tme.t for re.e.table.pe.iampullary cance.. Surgical site.infe.tions(SSI) are.common complications with incre.se. morbidity. The.study aime. to de.cribe.the.pre.ale.ce. risk factors, microbiology, and outcome. of SSI among patie.ts unde.going pancre.ticoduode.e.tomy. Me.hods: We.conducte. a re.rospe.tive.study in a re.e.ral cance. ce.te. be.we.n January 2015 and June.2021. We.analyze. base.ine.patie.t characte.istics and SSI occurre.ce. Culture.re.ults and susce.tibility patte.ns we.e.de.cribe.. Multivariate.logistic re.re.sion was use. to de.e.mine.risk factors, proportional hazards mode. to e.aluate.mortality, and Kaplan-Me.e. analysis to asse.s long-te.m survival. Re.ults: A total of 219 patie.ts we.e.e.rolle. in the.study;101(46%) de.e.ope. SSI. Inde.e.de.t factors for SSI we.e.diabe.e. me.litus, pre.pe.ative.albumin le.e., biliary drainage. biliary prosthe.e., and clinically re.e.ant postope.ative.pancre.tic fistula. The.main pathoge.s we.e.e.te.obacte.ia and e.te.ococci. Multidrug-re.istance.rate.in SSI was high but not associate. with incre.se. mortality. Infe.te. patie.ts had highe. odds of se.sis, longe. hospital stay and inte.sive.care.unit stay, and re.dmission rate. Ne.the. 30-day mortality nor long-te.m survival was significantly diffe.e.t be.we.n infe.te. and non-infe.te. patie.ts. Conclusions: SSI pre.ale.ce.among patie.ts unde.going pancre.ticoduode.e.tomy was high and large.y cause. by re.istant microorganisms. Domoic acid (DA)， a biotoxin， is produce. by se.e.al spe.ie. of marine.dinoflage.late.and diatom during harmful algal bloom e.e.ts. DA is a ne.rotoxin， in humans and non-human primate.， oral e.posure.to DA re.ults in gastrointe.tinal e.fe.ts， while.DA at highe. dose. le.ds to ne.rological symptoms， se.zure. and me.ory de.icie.cy. e.posure.of humans to DA occurs mainly through consumption of contaminate. se.foods containing an accumulation of the.toxin. Pre.iously， it was uncle.r if DA can have.toxic e.fe.ts on the.re.ina. We.asse.se. the.toxicity of DA in human re.inal ce.ls (ARPe.19) and in ze.rafish e.bryos. DA significantly lowe.e. ARPe.19 ce.l viability dose.de.e.de.tly， and de.re.se. anti-oxidative.capacity， incre.se. inflammation， and promote. ce.l de.th， possibly through modulating the.NRF2 and NF-κB signalling pathways. Introduction and Obje.tive.: Soil-Transmitte.-He.minthiasis (STH) is a public he.lth proble. in Came.oon. The.obje.tive.was to de.e.mine.the.pre.ale.ce.and the.risk factors associate. with ge.-he.minthiasis in childre. age. 0 to 3 ye.rs in a rural he.lth district. Me.hod: From De.e.be. 2020 to May 2021, a de.criptive.and analytical cross-se.tional study of 376 childre. be.we.n 6 and 36 months was carrie. out in the.Akonolinga he.lth district. This was a cluste. sampling in 4 he.lth are.s. Stool sample. we.e.colle.te. and analyse. using the.mini-FLOTAC me.hod. The.re.ults e.pre.se. as the.numbe. of e.gs pe. gram of stool. A que.tionnaire.on socio-de.ographic and life.tyle.data was administe.e. to the.pare.ts. The.Chi-square. te.t was use. to me.sure.the.association be.we.n ge.-he.minth infe.tion and the.data colle.te.. A multivariate.analysis using logistic re.re.sion was pe.forme. (p 0.05). Re.ults: The.pre.ale.ce.of STH was 19.4% (Ascaris lumbricoide.: 16% and Trichuris trichiura: 8%). Risk factors we.e. consumption of contaminate. wate. (AOR = 1.93 [1.03 - 3.6];p = 0.040), e.rly contact of the.child with the.ground (be.ore.age.of 4 months) (AOR = 4.9 [2.1 - 11.37];p .001), habit of walking bare.oot (AOR = 2.91 [1.1 - 7.97];p = 0.038), and living in a habitat with unpave. ground (AOR = 7.4 [1.55 - 35.7];p = 0.012). Me.hodology: We.carrie. out a cross-se.tional study through phone.inte.vie.s with pare.ts/care.ive.s of patie.ts hospitalise. at Laquintinie.ove. a 2-ye.r pe.iod from 1st January 2021 to 31st De.e.be. 2022. A non-standardise. structure. inte.vie. guide.was use. for data colle.tion. Loss-to-follow up re.e.re. to abse.ce.to at le.st one.visit as re.orde. in the.ne.natal follow-up chart. All ne.e.sary administrative.and e.hical conside.ations we.e.duly re.pe.te.. Re.ults: Most ne.nate. we.e.born through vaginal de.ive.y (n = 313, 69.45%). The.ne.nate. we.e.admitte. at a me.ian ge.tational age.of 33 we.ks (Q1-Q3;32 - 35) and the.me.ian duration of hospitalisation was 12 days (Q1 - Q3;8 - 18). A total of 23 ne.nate. had die. at the.time.of inte.vie. giving a mortality rate.of 5.1%. The.thre. most re.orte. re.sons for loss-to-follow-up was lack of mone. (n = 310, 68.13%), assumption that follow-up had e.de. (n = 37, 8.13%), and ne.born that die. (n = 23, 5.1%). Conclusion: This study highlights the.significant impact of financial constraints and abse.ce.of a robust follow-up syste. on poor uptake.of ne.natal follow-up post-discharge.in re.ource.limite. se.tings like.Came.oon. Our re.ults se.ve.as advocacy for national he.lth insurance.e.pe.ially in ne.nate..
