Personal body armour is one of the most important pieces of equipment to protect human beings from various critical and fatal *** today’s modern world,various organizations including law enforcement and security service have made it mandatory for their personnel to wear personal protection system while on field ***,the systems should comprise an improved ballistic performance,light-weighted,flexible as well as comfortable panel not only to be accepted with a wider range but also for effective performances of the ***,the overall performances of the protective body armour could be affected by various parameters including armour design techniques,type of materials used and finishing of the *** current paper aims to critically review state-of-art for armour panel design techniques and the different perspective body armour *** paper starts by discussing the different body armour and its ***,the different states of technology for armour panel design(mostly for women),its problems and the possible solutions will be ***,the commonly used different polymeric fibrous and the future possible advanced materials including carbon nanotube(CNT),Graphene CNT and shear thickening fluids(STFs)treated materials for developing the reinforced body armour panel will be *** authors believe that this paper will enlighten useful guidelines and procedures about the different panel design techniques and current and promising future materials for researchers,designers,engineers and manufacturers working on the impact resistance body armour field.

Edge effects on plant diversity in tropical forest ecosystems at Periyar Wildlife sanctuary in the Western Ghats of India

Forest resource conservation has been widely accepted as a key to sustain the local and regional economic development. The forest edges are affected by anthropogenic activities including deforestation, forest fragmentation, selective logging, extraction of non-timber forest products, collection of medicinal plants, recreations, hydroelectric pro- jects and its associated developmental activities, which alter the biodiver- sity. The present study intends to evaluate the edge effect on vegetation structure and species compositions in the tropical forest ecosystems at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats. High species richness （number of species） and Shannon＇s diversity indices were observed in the site IlI （completely undisturbed forest） compared to site I （adjacent to the village/edge of the forest, which is next to the teal（ plantation, severely disturbed forest） and site II （in between the undisturbed forest and mod- erately disturbed forest） while density of tree species showed greater value in site II. Single species such as Tectona grandis （IVI of 80） and Terminaliapaniculata （IVI of 112） were the dominant tree species in site I and site II, respectively, whereas, in site III Terminalia bellirica, Bishofia javanica and Syzgium gardneri shared the dominance. Perturba- tion leads to alien plant invasion particularly Lantana camara, Eupato- rium odoratum and Ageratum conizoides. Site II is at forest transition level because the site is dominated by both natural species as well as plantation species such as Tectona grandis. This site seems to be a buffer zone on natural forest and plantations. Further studies are required to analyse the real patterns of regeneration and dynamic change due to human impact by long term monitoring with the establishment of perma- nent plots.

ZKP Protocols for Usowan, Herugolf, and Five Cells

A Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) protocol allows a participant to prove the knowledge of some secret without revealing any information about it. While such protocols are typically executed by computers, there exists a line of research proposing physical instances of ZKP protocols. Up to now, many card-based ZKP protocols for pen-and-pencil puzzles, like Sudoku, have been designed. Those games, mostly edited by Nikoli, have simple rules, yet designing them in card-based ZKP protocols is non-trivial. In this work, we propose a card-based ZKP protocol for Usowan, a Nikoli game. In Usowan, for each room of a puzzle instance, there is exactly one piece of false information. The goal of the game is to detect this wrong data amongst the correct data and also to satisfy the other rules. Designing a card-based ZKP protocol to deal with the property of detecting a liar has never been done. In some sense, we propose a physical ZKP for hiding of a liar. This work extends a previous paper appearing in Ref. [1]. In this extension, we propose two other protocols, for Herugolf and Five Cells. The puzzles are specifically chosen because each of those three puzzles shares a common constraint, connectivity. However, showing the connected configuration cannot be done with generic approach and brings new construction to the existing connectivity ZKP protocol. Indeed, in Herugolf, the connectivity is handled with a given length of cell which is decremental (i.e., the length of each connected cell decreases by one at each step). For Five Cells, there is an additional step in the setup allowing to encode all the information needed to ensure a valid ZKP protocol.

Copepods are the main natural food of many marine fish ***,enriched rotifers are the most commonly used live prey in larval *** on the feeding behavior,growth,survival,and fatty acid(FA)composition of winter flounder larvae fed with copepods and rotifers were determined and compared to the FA composition of the two live *** of Eurytemora *** Acartia sp.,two of the main species of copepods present in the *** estuary,showed no significant differences in their essential fatty acid profiles,suggesting similar nutritional ***,only Eurytemora herdmani was compared to enriched rotifers in this *** nauplii were characterized by higher levels of essential fatty acids,particularly docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)and eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA).The selective incorporation of essential fatty acids from diets in larval tissues(polar lipids)indicated that nauplii might better fulfill larval nutritional requirements for DHA than ***,larval behavior was modified according to the diet:larvae fed with nauplii spent more time swimming with no changes in the occurrence of hunting events.

Healthcare is indeed a complex service system, one requiring the technobiology approach of systems engineering to underpin its development as an integrated and adaptive system. In general, healthcare services are carried out with knowledge-intensive agents or components which work together as providers and consumers to create or co-produce value. Indeed, the engineering design of a healthcare system must recognize the fact that it is actually a complex integration of human-centered activities that is increasingly dependent on information technology and knowledge. Like any service system, healthcare can be considered to be a combination or recombination of three essential components - people （characterized by behaviors, values, knowledge, etc.）, processes （characterized by collaboration, customization, etc.） and products （characterized by software, hardware, infrastructures, etc.）. Thus, a healthcare system is an integrated and adaptive set of people, processes and products. It is, in essence, a system of systems which objectives are to enhance its efficiency （leading to greater interdependency） and effectiveness （leading to improved health）. Integration occurs over the physical, temporal, organizational and functional dimensions, while adaptation occurs over the monitoring, feedback, cybernetic and learning dimensions. In sum, such service systems as healthcare are indeed complex, especially due to the uncertainties associated with the human-centered aspects of these systems. Moreover, the system complexities can only be dealt with methods that enhance system integration and adaptation.

Speckle-type POZ （pox virus and zinc finger protein） protein （SPOP） is anE3 ubiquitin ligase adaptor protein that specifically promotes the ubiquitination and proteasome degradation of proteins. SPOP mutations are frequent in prostate cancer, and in a previous study, An et al. demonstrated that SPOP induced the degradation of the androgen receptor （AR） suggesting that SPOP is important in maintaining prostate homeostasis. In this current highlighted report, An and colleagues showed that ERG, which has been implicated as an oncoprotein in prostate cancer.

The dysregulation of pathways regulat-ing cellular function is a frequent hall-mark of cancer and the development of specific pathway inhibitors that alter tumor growth and progression are the focus of multiple recent studies. E3 ubiquitin ligases are a large group of diverse protein enzymes that specifically target proteins for dear- ance, and their importance to normal cel-lular function is illustrated in the many diseases associated with their loss of func- tion or inappropriate targeting. S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 （Skp2） is an F box protein that plays critical roles in cell-cycle progression, senescence, metabolism, and acts as an Skpl-Cullin-l-F box （SCF） ubiquitin ligase substrate recognition fac-tor. Overexpression of Skp2 is associated with poor prognosis and metastasis in many cancers and is a well validated drug target. In a recent report, Chart et al. have iden-tified an Skp2 inhibitor that selectively impairs Skp2 E3 ligase activity using an integrated virtual high-throughput drug screening and experimental validation approach. This Skp2 inhibitor restricts cancer stemness and potentiates sensitivity to chemotherapeutic agents in multiple ani-mal tumor models. These findings identify a new novel small molecule that targets the Skp2 and reduces tumor growth by attenu-ating aerobic glycolysis and inducing cel-lular senescence.
