Background The timing of behavior and habitat use of nocturnal animals can be influenced by the lunar cycle in nature. The prevalence of artificial light at night(ALAN) has been recognized as a source of environmental pol-lution. The interaction between ALAN and the lunar cycle on bat behavior is important for understanding anthro-pogenic effects on bats. We utilized a decade(2012–2022) of acoustic monitoring data collected in North Carolina, United States, to investigate the relationship between bat activity, lunar cycle, and light pollution. We examined whether the amount of lunar illumination affected species-specific nightly activity and whether hourly bat activity patterns varied between nights with different moon phases. We further investigated if the relationship between bat activity and the lunar cycle might be altered by light *** We found that seven bat species showed activity variation across nights in relation to the amount of moon illumination when ALAN was absent. In general, bats were less active on full moon nights compared to new moon nights. light pollution interacted with the bat–lunar relationship in five of the seven species, masking the effect of the lunar cycle. We identified delayed bat activity patterns on nights with a full or waxing moon in seven species, and light pollution altered that pattern in four species. Overall, ALAN was associated with decreased bat activity inde-pendent of lunar cycle *** Our study demonstrated that at a broad spatial scale, ALAN negatively affected many North American temperate bat species and altered their lunar chronobiology. As light pollution is spreading to historically dark areas and habitats, ALAN might couple with other threats, such as the white-nose syndrome or climate change, to cause cascading damage in the environment that depends on ecosystem services such as pest control provided by bats. Gossiping is a popular technique for probabilistic reliable multicast （or broadcast）. However, it is often difficult to understand the behavior of gossiping algorithms in an analytic fashion. Indeed, existing analyses of gossip algorithms are either based on simulation or based on ideas borrowed from epidemic models while inheriting some features that do not seem to be appropriate for the setting of gossiping. On one hand, in epidemic spreading, an infected node typically intends to spread the infection an unbounded number of times （or rounds）; whereas in gossiping, an infected node （i.e., a node having received the message in question） may prefer to gossip the message a bounded number of times. On the other hand, the often assumed homogeneity in epidemic spreading models （especially that every node has equal contact to everyone else in the population） has been silently inherited in the gossiping literature, meaning that an expensive mcnlbership protocol is often needed for maintaining nodes＇ views. Motivated by these observations, the authors present a characterization of a popular class of fault-tolerant gossip schemes （known as ＂push-based gossiping＂） based on a novel probabilistic model, while taking the afore-mentioned factors into consideration.

We have used the China Homogenized Historic Temperature dataset and some long-term station series of the neighbor countries from CRUTEM3,a 5°×5° gridded dataset of monthly mean temperature since 1900,to provide a 107-year record of surface temperature trends and *** derived a comprehensive set of uncertainty estimates to accompany the data:measurement and sampling errors,uncertainties in temperature bias estimates,and uncertainties arising from limited observational coverage on large-scale averages have all been *** reanalysed the temperature changes during the period of *** best estimates of trends for 1900-2006 with uncertainties at 95% confidence range are about 0.09±0.017°C/decade for the year as a whole,and 0.14±0.021°C/decade,0.11±0.021°C/decade,0.04±0.017°C/decade,and 0.07±0.017°C/decade for winter,spring,summer and autumn *** 1954-2006,the trends for annual,winter,spring,summer and autumn are:0.26±0.032°C/decade,0.35±0.046°C/decade,0.25±0.051°C/decade,0.16±0.037°C/decade and 0.22±0.055°C/*** saw the most significant warming trend in both 1900-2006 and 1954-2006,while during the most recent period(the satellite era,1979-2006),all the seasons show similar warming trends:0.45±0.13°C/decade,0.51±0.11°C/decade,0.52±0.16°C/decade,0.37±0.10°C/decade and 0.50±0.16°C/decade for annual,winter,spring,summer and *** arising from urbanization have been evaluated as less than 5% of the total warming trend for 1951-2001,so this bias was not removed.

【目的】明确规模化湖羊场乳房炎的主要病原菌种类及其耐药性和毒力基因分布情况,指导临床治疗湖羊乳房炎合理用药。【方法】在6个规模化羊场采集临床型乳房炎乳样43份,采用细菌形态学鉴定、生化鉴定及16S rDNA序列分析的方法确定引起湖羊乳房炎的主要病原菌,采用纸片扩散法检测其耐药性,并通过PCR方法检测相关毒力基因。【结果】革兰染色镜检显示获得了革兰阳性球菌和革兰阴性杆菌。革兰阳性球菌在Baird-parker琼脂平板上呈现出边缘圆润,中间呈黑色的菌落;生化试验鉴定结果显示,分离株对甘露醇、过氧化氢和兔血浆凝固试验为阳性;经16S rDNA测序比对,与金黄色葡萄球菌高度相似的分离株共31株。革兰阴性杆菌在伊红-美蓝琼脂平板上呈现出黑紫色泛有金属光泽的菌落,在麦康凯琼脂平板上呈现出粉红色的菌落;生化试验鉴定显示,分离株对吲哚试验和甲基红试验为阳性,对VP试验和枸橼酸盐利用试验呈阴性;经16S rDNA测序比对,与大肠杆菌高度相似的分离株共12株。药敏试验结果显示,分离的金黄色葡萄球菌对环丙沙星、左氧氟沙星和头孢噻肟具有较高的敏感性,对青霉素、红霉素和链霉素耐药;分离的大肠杆菌对环丙沙星和左氧氟沙星亦有较高的敏感性,对青霉素和红霉素耐药。在金黄色葡萄球菌中检测出7种毒力基因,分别为PVL、Hlb、seb、clfA、clfB、fnbB和icaD基因,未检测到Hla、sea和fnbA基因;在大肠杆菌中检测出6种毒力基因,分别为hlyA、etrA、fasA、eaeA a、exhA a和stx 1基因,未检测到cnf 1、aer、estA和stx 2基因。【结论】引起该规模化湖羊场乳房炎的主要病原菌为金黄色葡萄球菌和大肠杆菌,且携带丰富的毒力基因,建议优先使用环丙沙星和左氧氟沙星治疗,本研究结果为临床治疗该病提供了科学依据。
