Automatic modulation classification is the process of identification of the modulation type of a signal in a general environment. This paper proposes a new method to evaluate the tracking performance of large margin classifier against signal-tonoise ratio （SNR）, and classifies all forms of primary user＇s signals in a cognitive radio environment. For achieving this objective, two structures of a large margin are developed in additive white Gaussian noise （AWGN） channels with priori unknown SNR. A combination of higher order statistics and instantaneous characteristics is selected as effective features. Simulation results show that the classification rates of the proposed structures are well robust against environmental SNR changes.

The mechanical and durability characteristics of concrete are crucial for designing and evaluating concrete structures throughout their entire operational *** main objective of this research is to use the deep learning(DL)method along with an artificial neural network(ANN)to predict the chloride migration coefficient and concrete compressive *** expansive experimental database of nearly 1100 data points was gathered from existing scientific *** forecast models were created,utilizing between 10 and 12 input *** ANN was used to address the missing data gaps in the literature.A comprehensive pre-processing approach was then implemented to identify outliers and encode data *** use of mean absolute error(MAE)as an evaluation metric for regression tasks and the employment of a confusion matrix for classification tasks were found to produce accurate ***,both the compressive strength and chloride migration coefficient exhibit a high level of accuracy,above 0.85,in both regression and classification ***,a user-friendly web application was successfully developed in the present study using the Python programming language,improving the ability to integrate smoothly with the user’s device.

Pollution of water resources with pesticide compounds has raised serious environmental problems,and for photocatalytic degradation of these pollutants,thin film photocatalysts are preferred to colloidal ones due to the separation problem of colloidal *** this work,nanostructured TiO_2 and N-doped TiO_2 thin films with high transparency were deposited on glass and quartz substrates through sonochemical–chemical vapor deposition(CVD)*** films prepared on glass and quartz substrates had nanocubic and nanospherical morphology,*** presence of N atoms in the structure of TiO_2 resulted in a decrease in the band gap energy of TiO_2 and also in the reduction of photogenerated electron–hole recombination ***,the presence of N atoms induced the formation of Ti^(3+)species which can act as hole trapping *** prepared thin films were also used for the visible light photocatalytic degradation of paraoxon *** to these results among the prepared thin films,the N-doped TiO_2 thin films have higher photocatalytic activity than pure TiO_2 thin ***,in comparison with the thin films deposited on quartz substrate,the films on glass substrate have higher photocatalytic performance,which can be related to the special nanocubic morphology of these samples.

In this research gasoil desalting was investigated from mass transfer point of view in an eductor liquid–liquid extraction column(eductor-LLE device).Mass transfer characteristics of the eductor-LLE device were evaluated and an empirical correlation was obtained by dimensional analysis of the dispersed phase Sherwood *** Results showed that the overall mass transfer coefficient of the dispersed phase and extraction efficiency have been increased by increasing Sauter mean diameter(SMD)and decreasing the nozzle diameter from 2 to 1 mm,*** effects of Reynolds number(R_(e)),projection ratio(ratio of the distance between venturi throat and nozzle tip to venturi throat diameter,Rpr),venturi throat area to nozzle area ratio(R_(th-n))and two phases flow rates ratio(R_(Q))on the mass transfer coefficient(K)were *** to the results,K increase with increasing Re and RQ and also with decreasing Rpr and R_(th-n).Semi-empirical models of drop formation,rising and coalescence were compared with our proposed empirical *** was revealed that the present model provided a relatively good fitting for the mass transfer model of drop ***,experimental data were in better agreement with calculated data with AARE value of 0.085.

The present paper aims at modeling suspended sediment load(SSL) using heuristic data driven methodologies, e.g. Gene Expression Programming(GEP) and Support Vector Machine(SVM) in three successive hydrometric stations of Housatonic River in U.S. The simulations were carried out through local and cross-station data management scenarios to investigate the interrelations between the SSL values of upstream/downstream stations. The available scenarios were applied to predict SSL values using GEP to obtain the best models. Then, the best models were predicted by SVM approach and the obtained results were compared with those of GEP. The comparison of the results revealed that the SVM technique is more capable than the GEP for modeling the SSL through the both local and cross-station data management strategies. Besides, local application seems to be better than cross-station application for modeling SSL. Nevertheless, the cross-station application demonstrated to be a valid methodology for simulating SSL, which would be of interest for the stations with lack of observational data. Also, the prediction capability of conventional Sediment Rating Curve(SRC) method was compared with those of GEPand SVM techniques. The obtained results revealed the superiority of GEP and SVM-based models over the traditional SRC technique in the studied stations.

Metabolic syndrome(MS)involves people with the following risk factors:obesity,hypertension,high glucose level and *** can increase the risk of heart disease,stroke and type 2 diabetes *** prevalence of MS in the world’s adult population is about 20%–25%.Today,there is much care to use medicinal ***(Curcuma longa)as well as curcumin which is derived from the rhizome of the plant,has been shown beneficial effects on different components of ***,the purpose of this manuscript was to introduce different in vitro,in vivo and human studies regarding the effect of turmeric and its constituent on ***,different mechanisms of action by which this plant overcomes MS have been *** on studies,turmeric and its bioactive component,curcumin,due to their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties,have antidiabetic effects through increasing insulin release,antihyperlipidemic effects by increasing fatty acid uptake,anti-obesity effects by decreasing lipogenesis,and antihypertensive effects by increasing nitric *** to several in vivo,in vitro and human studies,it can be concluded that turmeric or curcumin has important values as a complementary therapy in ***,more clinical trials should be done to confirm these effects.

A new ion source has been designed and manufactured for the CYCLONE30 accelerator, which has a much advanced performance compared with the original. It is expected that the newly designed ion source extraction system will transport a very large percentage of the beam without deteriorating the beam optics, which is designed to deliver an H- beam at 30 keV. The accelerator assembly consists of three circular aperture electrodes made of copper. The simulation study was focused on finding parameter sets that raise the beam perveance as large as possible and which reduce the beam divergence as low as possible. Ion beams of the highest quality are extracted whenever the half-angular divergence is minimum, for which the perveance current intensity and the extraction gap have optimum values. The triode extraction system is designed and optimized by using CST software （for Particle Beam Simulations）. The physical design of the extraction system is given in this paper. From the simulation results, it is concluded that it is possible to achieve this goal by decreasing the thickness of the plasma electrode, shortening the first gap, and adjusting the acceleration electrode voltage.

Local scour downstream of sluice gates in erosive beds is one of the main concerns of hydraulic engineers because it can cause considerable damage to *** researchers have conducted various studies to predict the maximum depth and length of scour holes and to develop new methods to control this *** the methods that have recently been examined,embedded buried plates are used to control the scour in the erosive *** this study,using a physical model,the effect of buried plates in erosive beds on the depth of scour downstream of a hydraulic jump was *** experiments were performed in which plates were buried at 50° and 90° angles at different distances from the apron in open channels with horizontal and reverse bed *** results of experiments in which the scour profiles were drawn in dimensionless forms show that the angle and position of the plates are important to controlling and reducing scour *** fact,by reducing the angle of buried plates,the maximum depth of scour is also ***,comparison of the results of a single buried plate and double buried plates shows that using two buried plates at the distances of 30 and 45 cm from the non-erodible bed is more effective in reducing the scour *** best distances of the buried plates with angles of 90° and 50° from the non-erodible bed are 45 cm and 30 cm,respectively,in the condition with a single buried plate.
