Vegetation,elevation gradient and soil temperature are considered as major drivers of ECM fungi species *** sporocarps were collected during rainy seasons for two years to study the link between the distribution of ECM mushrooms with Castonopsis echinocarpa,Parashorea chinensis,and Pittosporopsis kerrii with varying elevations and soil temperatures,in a tropical rain forest Xishuangbanna,Yunnan,*** each tree species,60 trees of approximately the same size were selected,where half of them were growing at higher elevation levels and the rest at lower *** highest total counts of ECM fungi,as well as the highest species richness were produced by *** followed by *** and *** species richness was shown in September by ***,while *** trees had the lowest count of mushrooms across rainy *** of Boletales were recorded with highest species richness followed by species of order Agaricales around both *** and *** fungi count declined with increased ***,fungi species richness increased positively with increased soil temperature in a tropical seasonal rainforest.

Biomarkers in fluid inclusions of polymetallic deposit of Qixiashan, Nanjing

MOST previous studies of organic geochemistry in an ore deposit focus on the bitumen and kero-gen associated with ores and host rocks, not on that of fluid inclusions. However, organicmatter only in ore-forming fluids is directly involved in metallogenesis. In this note, a series ofbiomarkers in hydrocarbon inclusions were identified through gas chromatography-mass spec-trometry (GC-MS). Comparison and contrast on extractable organic matter (EOM) was madeamong inclusions, ores and host rocks. Metallogenesis related to EOM was also discussed.

A Hybrid Parallel Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm for 0/1 Knapsack Problem

In this paper a hybrid parallel multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed for solving 0/1 knapsack problem. Multi-objective problems with non-convex and discrete Pareto front can take enormous computation time to converge to the true Pareto front. Hence, the classical multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) (i.e., non- Parallel MOGAs) may fail to solve such intractable problem in a reasonable amount of time. The proposed hybrid model will combine the best attribute of island and Jakobovic master slave models. We conduct an extensive experimental study in a multi-core system by varying the different size of processors and the result is compared with basic parallel model i.e., master-slave model which is used to parallelize NSGA-II. The experimental results confirm that the hybrid model is showing a clear edge over master-slave model in terms of processing time and approximation to the true Pareto front.

Effect of preoperative regional artery chemotherapy on proliferation and apoptosis of gastric carcinoma cells

AIM: To study the effects of preoperative regional arterychemotherapy (PRACT) in inducing growth inhibition andapoptosis of gastric carcinorna (GC) ***: TUNEL ( terminal-deoxynucleotidyl-transferaseTdT-mediated dUTP-fluorescein and labeling) method andimmunohistochemical techniques were used to detect thestate of apoptosis and proliferation of GC cells inhistopathologic sections. A total of 110 cases of GC and 68cases of metastatic lymph node with or without PRACT wereadopted. Correlations between apoptosis index (Al),proliferation index (PI) and PRACT and prognosis ***: The apoptosis index (Al) was significantly higherin the PRACT group (12.5 ‰ + 4.33‰) than in the untreatedgroup (7. 1‰ + 3. 43 ‰, P ＜ 0. 001 ), whereas theproliferation index (PI) in the PRACT group (33.8 % ± 8.8% ) was eignificantly lower than that in untreated group (43.6 % + 12.8 %, P＜0.01). Both Al and PI were correlated tothe differentiation degree of GC in PRACT group, the Al inthe differentiated group was higher than that inundifferentiated group (P＜0.001), but the PI was lower inthe differentiated group than that of the undifferentiatedgroup ( P ＜ 0.01 ). The Al of GC cells in metastatic lymphnode was also significantly higher in the PRACT group (7.9‰+ 3.41‰) than in the untreated group (3.6 ‰ + 2.93 ‰,P ＜ 0.01 ), though the PI of GC cells in metastatic lymphnodes in the PRACT group (17. 2 % + 6. 8 % ) wassignificantly lower than that in the untreated group (26.7 %+ 9. 3 %, P ＜ 0. 01 ). The severity of histopathologicchanges was significantly higher in the PRACT group than inthe untreated group ( P ＜ 0.05). In addition, postoperativesurveys demonstrated that the 5-year survival rate of GCpatients in the PRACT group was significantly higher than thatof patients in the untreated group (P＜0.01).CONCLUSION: Preoperative regional artery chemotherapy(PRACT) showed inhibitory action on the growth of GC cellsmainly through inhibiting proliferation and inducing theapoptosis

Prevalence of tuberculous peritonitis in the North of Iraq and sociodemographic comparison with pulmonary tuberculosis

Objective:Tuberculosis continues to be an important health problem in the *** the widespread impression that abdominal tuberculosis is rare today,the disease is still endemic in developing world and is reemerging in the *** aim is to review our local experience with tuberculous ***:Between January 2000 and December 2006,the case records of histologically documented tuberculous peritonitis (TBP) diagnosed and treated at the tuberculosis coordinating center in Erbil city,Iraq were *** were made with pulmonary tuberculosis patients regarding socio-demographic,clinical and laboratory ***:Forty one cases of TBP were diagnosed during the study *** age range was 26-72 years(46±17),with a male:female ratio of 1.5;*** median duration of symptoms before diagnosis was 6 weeks(range;10 days to 18 months.).Eleven patients(26.8%) had comorbid conditions and 6 patients (14.6%) had a history of positive contact with Tuberculosis(TB) *** symptoms were abdominal distension(70%),abdominal pain(65%),fever(68%),anorexia(65%) and weight loss(44%).Four patients had pulmonary symptoms;cough and/ dyspnoea(n= 2 ) and cough(n= 2).Chest X-ray changes consistent with pulmonary tuberulosis(PTB) were seen in 25%.Tuberculous peritonitis was diagnosed by laparoscopy (n=29) and laparotomy(n= 12).Adverse effects of TB drugs occurred in nearly 40%,consisting of hepatitis(n= 2),nausea/vomiting(n= 11),rash(n = 2) and encephalopathy(n = 1).Hemoglobin and serum albumin levels were significantly lower in tuberculous peritonitis(TBP)TBP patients(P =0.027 and 0. 003,respectively).There was a significantly greater occurrence of adverse effects(P<0.001) in TBP patients. No significant differences between TBP and PTB were demonstrated in regard to age and sex distribution, non-specific symptoms(fever,weight loss,and anorexia) and erythrocyte sedimentation *** were treated with standard regimens and responded to treatment

应用一维涡扩散模型计算一年内不同时期的湖泊垂直温度分布和湖水蒸发率。主管方程是同一水平面内均温的一维非定常热传导方程。模型不要求特定的湖泊拟会参数。模型中涡扩散系数通过Ｒｉｃｈａｒｄｓｏｎ数计算，水面热交换用能量平衡法计算，湖底假定为绝热，主管方程用有限差分法求解。对ＣｏｌｏｒａｄｏＣｉｔｙ湖和Ｃａｌｈｏｕｎ湖的模拟计算表明：水面温度和温度剖面的计算值与实测值吻合很好，最大差值均在２℃范围内。湖泊年蒸发量的计算值与实测值亦很接近，差值仅为实测值的５％。
