The magnitude and spatial variability of CO_(2)surface emissions and processes involving CO_(2)released to the atmosphere from the soils are relevant issues in the context of climate *** work evaluated CO_(2)fluxes and^(13)C/^(12)C ratio of vegetation,organic matter,and soil gases from no disturbed soils of Chaco Pampean Plain(Argentina)with different soil properties and environmental conditions(PL and PA units).Soil organic decomposition from individual layers was accompanied byδ^(13)C of total organic carbon(δ^(13)C-TOC)values more enriched to depth.δ^(13)C-TOC values in the upper soil profile~ca.0–15 cm were like the plant community of this area(~−33 to−29‰)whileδ^(13)ctOC varied stronger bellow horizon A,till~−24‰.Bothδ^(13)C-TOC and soilδ^(13)C-CO_(2)were similar(~−24 to 26‰)at deeper horizons(~50–60 cm).Toward the superficial layers,δ^(13)C-TOC andδ^(13)C-CO_(2)showed more differences(till~4‰),due influence of the diffusion *** A layer(~0–20 cm)from both PL and PA units contained the most enrichedδ^(13)C-CO_(2)values(~−15–17‰)because atmospheric CO_(2)permeated the soil air.A simple two-component mixing model between sources(atmosphericδ^(13)C-CO_(2)and soil CO_(2))confirmed that ***,CO_(2)fluxes reflected the biodegradation of C3 plants(source),diffusive transport,and CO_(2)exchange(atmosphere/soil).Soil moisture content appeared as a determining fact.r in the diffusion process and the magnitude of CO_(2)surface emissions(12–60 g·m^(−2)·d^(−1)).That condition was confirmed by CO_(2)diffusion coefficients estimated by air-filled porosity parameters and soil radon gradient model.

Carbon and hydrogen Isotopes as Tracers of Methane Dynamic in Wetlands

This work presents a review of the main processes leading to the production and sinking of methane in wetlands and how they affect the stable isotope composition of carbon and hydrogen. Isotope fractionation fact.rs associated to diffusion, ebullition, bact.rial oxidation, etc., have been gathered from relevant literature in an intent of providing researchers in this thematic with practical procedures and tools for the interpretation of experimental data. Also it is presented guidelines of the most reliable field and laboratory methods used at present for the correct sampling and analyzing methane in different stages of occurrence, as well the most common tools used in their interpretation. Each statement is fully referenced to a long updated list of publications.

Long Term reproducibility Check of a Full Field Digital Mammography System

In this study different types of customized phantoms were used to examine a long term reproducibility check of a full field digital mammography system. These phantoms can be distinguished into three types： a PMMA （polimethylmethacrylate） object for an easy signal-to-noise ratio measurement in a defined region, a phantom with particular details of various dimensions （TOrMAS） and a phantom for a contrast-detail analysis （CDMAM）. In our center the ArTINIS ANALYZEr software has been used since 2011 to weekly perform a CDMAM phantom analysis. This soitware is based on the original CDCOM algorithm suggested by the EUrEF, the European reference Organization for assured quality breast screening and diagnostic services. however the CDMAM phantom is a contrast-detail object designed for image quality type tests and not for long term reproducibility control. Since 2013, as suggested by the guidelines of Veneto region, a TOrMAS weekly acquisition and analysis of data has also been performed. The purpose of this study is to discuss the data obtained by using the two different detail phantoms, CDMAM and TOrMAS. These results can provide some correlations among the analyzed parameters comparing them with the ones emerging from the PMMA phantom analysis. The study reveals that the basic PMMA phantom is the object that provides the necessary information about the stability of the exposure parameters and the reproducibility of a mammographic equipment in terms of image quality indexes.

In this paper a methodology to experimentally evaluate the stress exerted on Power MOSFET devices is *** proposed technique is based on an accurate experimental analysis of electro-thermal transients,exploiting a test bench tailored around an infrared microscope,enabling dynamic temperature mapping with a 17 m spatial resolution in both directions and an over 250 khz bandwidth.A suitable reliability model has been also carried out,able to exploit the results obtained using the proposed technique,based on the principle of the linear accumulation of the damage due to the thermo mechanical fatigue.A practical application of the proposed technique and of the reliability model is fully described along the paper,dealing with the estimation of expected lifetimes of trench and planar power MOSFET struct.res designed to equip automotive ABS *** paper therefore goes trough all the steps required to predict the life time of power MOSFETs,demonstrating that the proposed methodology is a quite useful zero failure design tool,enabling to identify the best technology on the basis of the specified mission profile.
