In situ renewable energy production is a favourable alternative for reducing pollu-tion and combating climate *** research area,Cuenca,Ecuador,is located in the Andes near the equator with optimal conditions for energy self-supply due to its low energy demands and low levels of irradiation *** this study,tem-porary fluctuations in consumption based on 2016 electricity consumption data are *** GIS,available roofing polygons are obtained,and the amount of usable solar radiation is estimated based on these *** available surface,orientation,and inclination information,electricity generation based on photovoltaic performance is estimated and compared for monocrystalline silica panels and pho-tovoltaic solar roof tiles,which are architectural alternatives.A potential net supply of 148%is found for monocrystalline silica photovoltaic panels in a typical format,whereas that of photovoltaic tiles is only 61%.In addition,production-demand imbalances are predicted in extreme months and average months and on extreme days due to variations in irradiation and demands.

Proliferative verrucous leukoplakia is an intriguing disease, which occurs particularly in women aged greater than 60 years, is not associated with tobacco and alcohol, and has a high risk of recurrence and malignant transformation. Although it is well known that the typical presentation is characterized by multifocal and verrucous white lesions, there is no description that its initial clinical presentation may simulate a lichenoid reaction.

为研究基于丝网印刷技术的电化学酶联免疫吸附(ELISA)的效果,在塑料基板上印刷96孔电极单元,形成标准96孔ELISA检测板,建立电化学检测与ELISA实验的关联,检测板每孔底部为独立电化学单元,由碳电极、对电极和银参比电极组成,形成双面印刷基板,基板通过96×3针式镀金特定连接器连接至恒电位仪。结果表明,96孔三电极电化学丝网印刷电化学阵列作为ELISA检测是可行的,多通道恒电位仪可同时测量8个孔数据。

Biphasic Hydrogenation and Hydroformylation of Natural Olefins with a Binuclear Rhodium Complex in Ionic Liquid/Toluene

The complex [Rh（CO）（Pz）（TPPmS）]2, （TPPmS = m-sulfonatophenyl-diphenylphosphine, Pz = Pirazolate） was evaluated as a catalyst precursor in the hydroformylation of allylbenzenes （eugenol and estragol） and terpenes （limonene and myrcene） and in the hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes （crotonaldehyde, cinnamaldehyde and citral） in a biphasic medium toluene/ionic liquid. Under the reaction conditions studied （P = 600 psi, T= 95 ℃, S/C = 300：1）, the rhodium system showed a high activity and selectivity towards the desired aldehydes. The catalytic phase could be recycled up to five times without any evident loss of activity or selectivity.

Brucella spp. Lumazine synthase as a novel immunomodulator to produce egg yolk antibodies

Lumazine synthase from Brucella spp. (BLS) is a highly immunogenic decameric protein. It has been previously described as a carrier of peptides or proteins to increase their immunogenicity in different animal species, but its activity has never been evaluated in chickens. In this work, the use of BLS to improve the antibody response against bovine rotavirus (BRV) VP8d protein in laying hens was assessed. VP8d is the inner domain of the VP8 spike protein which preserves the sialic acid binding activity and the neutralizing epitopes present in the viral protein. Hens were immunized three times with 2 μg of VP8d alone or fused to BLS. Hens inoculated with BLSVP8d developed higher antibody titers (evaluated by ELISA and viral neutralization test) than hens immunized either with VP8d alone or the mixture of VP8d and BLS. Furthermore, IgY antibodies against BLSVP8d were able to fully protect mice against challenge with virulent BRV in a dose-depent-manner. Overall, these results demonstrate that BLS is a potent immonumodulator that enhances the antibody response in hens, thus increasing the concentration of specific IgY in the egg yolk, one of the main issues to be adressed in order to improve the use of the IgY technology.

Effect of Osmotic Stress on the Initial Development of Bean Seedlings

One of the methods to determine the tolerance of plants to water stress is the observation of germination of seeds under stress induced in laboratory conditions. Thus, the aim was to evaluate the response of four common bean cultivars to water deficit simulated under laboratory conditions. Two common landrace genotypes acquired from farmers (FORT 07 and FORT 08) and two commercial cultivars, IAPAR 81 and Serrano were evaluated. The different levels of water deficit were induced with mannitol solution. The experimental design was completely randomized and a factorial scheme 5 × 4 (osmotic potential x genotypes), with four replications. The characteristics: primary root protrusion, seed vigor, normal and abnormal seedling, seedling and root length, fresh and dry weight of seedling and root were evaluated. By reducing the osmotic potential seedling vigor bean was more affected than the primary root protrusion. Regardless of cultivar, there was a significant and progressive reduction in the normal seedlings percentage from potential -0.3 mPa. The IAPAR 81 and FORT 07 cultivars showed higher tolerance to water deficit compared to other cultivars.
