A series of mononuclear complexes and unsymmetric dinuclear alkynylplatinum(ii)terpyridine complexes with oligo(paraphenylene ethynylene)(OPE)-derived backbone with a variation of the lengths of alkoxy chains and OPE backbones was *** morphological properties,packing lattice and gelation behaviors of the mononuclear complexes were systematically studied,and the thermodynamic parameters and packing lattices of the dinuclear complexes were also investigated,providing further insights into the roles of the non-covalent interactions and their delicate balance in constructing sophisticated supramolecular *** and nanotube formation have been observed upon a delicate control of the intermolecular interactions by altering the lengths and structural dimensions of the complexes.

Glycidol is a common lipid-derived foodborne toxicant mainly presents in refined oils and related *** endothelial cells may be potential targets of the deleterious effects associated with glycidol *** human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs),we found that glycidol treatment promoted endothelialto-mesenchymal transition(EndMT)at a lower concentration(0.5 mmol/L),while induced apoptosis and inflammation at a higher concentration(1 mmol/L).These harmful effects were achieved by the activation of NF-κB/MAPK signaling pathway and were mediated by reactive oxygen species(ROS).in addition,the protective potential of 6-C-(E-2-fluorostyryl)naringenin(6-CEFN)against glycidol was evaluated and compared with *** pre-treated with 6-CEFN,but not naringenin,displayed resistance to endothelial dysfunction caused by glycidol.

Rational design of efficient and robust earth-abundant alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts is a key factor for developing energy conversion ***,antiperovskite nitride CuNMn_(3)has garnered significant interest due to its remarkable properties such as negative/zero thermal expansion and magnetocaloric ***,when utilized as hydrogen evolution catalysts,it encounters large challenge resulting from excessively strong/weak interactions with adsorbed H on Mn/Cu active sites,which leads to low HER *** this study,we introduce an asymmetric orbital hybridization strategy in Zn-doped Cu_(1-x)Zn_(x)NMn_(3)by leveraging the localization of Zn electronic states to reconfigure the electronic structures of Cu and Mn,thereby reducing the energy barrier for water dissociation and optimizing Cu and Mn active sites for hydrogen adsorption and H_(2)*** evaluations reveal that Cu_(0.85)Zn_(0.15)NMn_(3)with x=0.15 demonstrates exceptional electrocatalytic activity in alkaline electrolytes.A low overpotential of 52 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2)and outstanding stability over a 150-h test period are achieved,surpassing commercial Pt/*** research offers a novel strategy for enhancing HER performance by modulating asymmetric hybridization of electron orbitals between multiple metal atoms within a material structure.

in Senegal in particular, ovarian cancer, which is one of the most common gynecological cancers, accounts for 2.8% of deaths. The most important risk factor is genetic, with 10% of cases occurring in a context of genetic predisposition. The sequencing of the human genome, which has led to the discovery of millions of sequence variations, makes it possible to study variations within sequences. These variations are limited to Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) and this common form of polymorphism occurs approximately every 1000 bases in the human genome and 1.8 million SNPs are currently listed according to [1]. The aim of this study is to gain a better understanding of the impact of mutations in the d-loop region of mtdNA on ovarian cancer in Senegalese women. This study involved searching for mutations in our study population after dNA extraction and sequencing. Mutations were found after a comparison of our sequences with the Cambridge reference sequence (NC_012920). The mutations found in the dNA studied extend from position 7 to position 16568 and most of these mutations are located in the hypervariate zones (HV1 and HV2). Heteroplasmy with three mutant alleles was also found in certain variants. Common mutations were found in both healthy and cancerous tissues, with almost identical frequencies in both types of tissue. This enabled us to understand the spread of tumor cells throughout the ovary.

Herein, the de novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans through the Cu/spirocyclic-pyrrolidine-oxazoline(SPdO) complex catalyze asymmetric formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition between quinones and ynamides is explored, producing a range of structurally diverse axially chiral benzofurans in satisfactory yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to explain the possible reaction mechanism.

The quantitative photoacoustic investigation of different TiO2 thin films on Si substrates is presented using the elastic bending method. Photoacoustic signal amplitude and phase spectra versus modulation frequency were measured and analyzed using different sample thicknesses. Within the proposed method particular attention is given to the analysis of optical, thermal, elastic and structural sample parameters. Considerable focus is devoted to the fitting procedure of experimental results using the two-layer sample theoretical model. characteristics of previously developed photoacoustic apparatus are discussed, attempting to search the ideal experimental conditions which can provide a good signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity.

Group iV element Pb has been selected as the dopant to dope at the Sr site of Sr2irO4. it is exciting to find that the single-phase crystal structure could be maintained with a high Pb doping level of up to x=0.3 in Sr2-xPbxirO4. The mapping data obtained from energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy analyses give solid evidence that the Pb ions are uniformly distributed in the Sr2irO4matrix. The incorporation of Pb leads to a moderate depression of the canted antiferromagnetic ordering state. The electrical conductivity could be greatly enhanced when the Pb doping content is higher than x=*** present results give a fresh material base to explore new physics in doped Sr2irO4systems.

AiM： To assess the usefulness of two independent histopathological classifications of rectal cancer regression following neo-adjuvant therapy. METHOdS： Forty patients at the initial stage cT3NxM0 submitted to preoperative radiotherapy （42 Gy during 18 d） and then to radical surgical treatment. The relationship between ＂T-downstaging＂ versus regressive changes expressed by tumor regression grade （TRG 1-5） and Nasierowska-Guttmejer classification （NG 1-3） was studied as well as the relationship between TRG and NG versus local tumor stage ypT and lymph nodes status, ypN. RESULTS： Complete regression （ypT0, TRG 1） was found in one patient. ＂T-downstaging＂ was observed in 11 （27.5%） patients. There was a weak statistical significance of the relationship between ＂T-downstaging＂ and TRG staging and NG stage. patients with ypT1 were diagnosed as TRG 2-3 while those with ypT3 as TRGS. No lymph node metastases were found in patients with TRG 1-2. None of the patients without lymph node metastases were diagnosed as TRG 5. patients in the ypT1 stage were NG 1-2. No lymph node metastases were found in NG 1. There was a significant correlation between TRG and NG. CONCLUSiON： Histopathological classifications may be useful in the monitoring of the effects of hyperfractionated preoperative radiotherapy in patients with rectal cancer at the stage of cT3NxM0. There is no unequivocal relationship between ＂Todownstaging＂ and TRG and NG. There is some concordance in the assessment of lymph node status with ypT, TRG and NG. TRG and NG are of limited value for the risk assessment of the lymph node involvement.

Convergence of principles of palliative care and integrative medicine has led to the introduction of the new practice of integrative palliative care in which integrative therapies(including mind-body modalities,traditional Chinese medicine,Ayurveda,and dietary supplements)are used to provide symptom management for patients who are dying or experiencing the sequelae of serious illness and its *** propose an East-West integrative palliative care model using non-drug therapies,such as acupuncture,diet,exercise,and stress management that shift the paradigm from suppressing the symptoms of illness to addressing both the root cause of the symptoms and the imbalance and declining homeostatic reserve that perpetuate these *** whole-person model expands the reach of palliative care,prolonging a better quality of life and allowing the patient to maintain as many activities as possible by preventing symptoms and improving *** this approach we reframe the dialogue such that patients are"living better"rather than"dying better"when faced with serious illness or *** this article,we provide an overview of the principles of palliative care,integrative medicine,and the novel area of integrative palliative care,and propose an East-West integrative palliative care model that incorporates and broadens the scope of these existing approaches.

The present paper provides both experimental and dEM analyses of the filling and discharge of pea grains from a 3d flat-bottomed bin. in the dEM model, the fixed mean values of the experimentally determined single particle data, such as the particle density, Young＇s modulus, Poisson＇s ratio as well as the sliding and rolling friction coefficients were incorporated to analyse their effects on the macroscale indicators, such as the wall pressure, discharge velocities and material outflow parameters. The effect of rolling friction was studied based on the experimentally measured single particle rolling friction coefficient. This analysis is aimed at the quantitative prediction of flow parameters as related to the identification of material parameters.
