To describe a case of probable relapsing autoimmune hepatitis associated with vaccination against hepatitis A virus （HAV）. A case report and review of literature were written concerning autoimmune hepatitis in association with hepatitis A and other hepatotropic viruses. Soon a^er the administration of formalin-inactivated hepatitis A vaccine, a man who had recently recovered from an uncharacterized but self-limiting hepatitic illness, experienced a severe deterioration （AST 1687 U/l, INR 1.4）. Anti-nuclear antibodies were detectable, and liver biopsy was compatible with autoimmune hepatitis. The observation supports the role of HAV as a trigger of autoimmune hepatitis. Studies in helper T-cell activity and antibody expression against hepatic proteins in the context of hepatitis A infection are summarized, and the concept of molecular mimicry with regard to other forms of viral hepatitis and autoimmunity is briefly explored.

Background： lycopene（lYC） is a natural carotenoid with powerful reactive oxygen species（ROS） scavenging activities. The aim of this study was to investigate if lycopene has the ability to reverse ROS-mediated alterations to the motility, viability and intracellular antioxidant profile of bovine spermatozoa subjected to ferrous ascorbate（Fe AA）. Spermatozoa were washed out of fresh bovine semen, suspended in 2.9 % sodium citrate and subjected to lYC treatment（0.25, 0.5, 1 or 2 mmol/l） in the presence or absence of Fe AA（150 μmol/l Fe SO4 and 750 μmol/l ascorbic acid） during a 6 h in vitro culture. Spermatozoa motion characteristics were assessed using the Sperm Vision？computer-aided sperm analysis（CASA） system. Cell viability was examined with the metabolic activity（MTT） assay,ROS generation was quantified via luminometry and the nitroblue-tetrazolium（NBT） test was applied to quantify the intracellular superoxide formation. Cell lysates were prepared at the end of the in vitro culture to investigate the intracellular activity of superoxide dismutase（SOD）, catalase（CAT）, glutathione peroxidase（GPx） as well as the concentrations of glutathione（GSH） and malondialdehyde（MDA）.Results： FeA A treatment led to a reduced spermatozoa motility（P 〈 0.001）, viability（P 〈 0.001） and a decline of the antioxidant capacity of spermatozoa（P 〈 0.001） but increased the ROS generation（P 〈 0.001）, superoxide production（P 〈 0.001） and lipid peroxidation（P 〈 0.001）. lYC administration resulted in a preservation of the spermatozoa motion parameters（P 〈 0.001）, mitochondrial activity（P 〈 0.001） and antioxidant characteristics（P 〈 0.001 with respect to SOD;P 〈 0.01 in relation to CAT; P 〈 0.05 as for GPx and GSH） with a concentration range of 1 and 2 mmol/l lYC revealed to be the most ***： Our results suggest that lYC exhibits significant ROS-scavenging and antioxidant properties which may prevent spermatozoa alterations caused by oxidative stress, and preserve the functional

A time derivative preconditioning is introduced that allows a unified treatment of timemarching methods for both compressible and incompressible flows from inviscid to creeping flow. Results show that convergence rates are independent of Reynolds numbers and Mach numbers throughout this regime. A Complete formulation'based on an arbitrary equation of state facilitates the changes from one type of fluid to another and, in particular, the extension to incompressible flows. The resulting time-marching algorithm is shown in the incompressible limit to be identical to iterative methods based on pressure-Poisson methods, and it is demonstrated that both method are hyperbolic.

The present study aims to evaluate in rats the activity changes associated to treatments with D2-like receptor agonists using a simple behavioral procedure. Rats receiving a single dose of 1 mg/kg quinpirole or vehicle were scored for 6 spontaneous behaviors at different post-injection times. In each time point, the animals were placed in testing cages for 12 min and video-recorded during the last 2 min. The number of forelimb steps and the time spent sniffing were significantly increased by 15 min post-injection in the quinpirole group. Forelimb steps remained increased for at least 24 h. Scores of time spent sniffing, as well as time inactive and number of hindlimb steps appeared greatly altered at 90 and 180 min, but not at later time points. By 48 h, no differences between control and quinpirole-treated rats were observed. In conclusion, the simple behavioral procedure here proposed—or adaptations of it—provides a sensitive test to evaluate the time course of the effects of D2-like receptor agonists on rat spontaneous activity. Additionally, this test takes into account context-dependent sensitization. It can be adapted to different treatment conditions. This methodology would be useful for the preclinical screening of D2-like receptor drugs, using reduced numbers of animals to test those doses and treatment schedules producing less side-effects.

The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(pa)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of pa into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(MSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving MSK anatomy knowledge,pa.levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of MSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).Many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in pa based interventions to supplement MSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating pa into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

High-entropy alloys(HEAs)consisting of CoCrFeNiAlTi systems,with a face-centered cubic(FCC)matrix reinforced by ordered l12 precipitates,have demonstrated exceptional strength-ductility ***,the current compositional design of HEAs heavily relies on high Ni and Co contents,compro-mising the balance between properties and ***,it is crucial to optimize the cost-performance trade-offby fine-tuning the range of Fe,Co,and Ni,while maintaining excellent strength-ductility *** this study,we propose a novel Fe-based HEA with nanosized precipitates and a heteroge-neous grain distribution,achieving a strength-ductility combination comparable to state-of-the-art Ni-or Co-based *** alloy benefits from both precipitation hardening and hetero-deformation-induced strengthening attributed to the heterogeneous grain distribution,resulting in excellent yield strength of 1433 Mpa,tensile strength of 1599 Mpa,and ductility of 22%.The microstructural evolution and its in-fluence on mechanical properties are unraveled with respect to the observation of precipitate-dislocation interaction and hetero-deformation-induced stress(HDI stress)*** study suggests that the challenge of balancing properties and cost can be addressed through optimized compositional and mi-crostructural design.
