Spatial-Temporal Changes in Grain production, Consumption and Driving Mechanism in china

The spatial-temporal patterns of grain production and consumption have an important influence on the effective national grain supply on condition of tight balance in the total grain amount in china. In this paper, we analyze the spatial-temporal pattems of grain production, consumption and the driving mechanism for their evolution processes in china. The results indicate that both gravity centers of grain production and consumption in china moved toward the northern and eastern regions, almost in the same direction. The coordination of grain production and consumption increased slightly from 1995 to 2007 but decreased from 2000 to 2007. There is a spatial difference between the major districts of output increase and the strong growth potential in grain consumption, which indicates an increasing difficulty in improving the regional coordination of grain production and consumption. The movement of the gravity center of grain production is significantly correlated with regional differences in grain production policy, different economic development models, and spatial disparity of land and water resource use. For grain consumption, the main driving factors include rapid urbanization, the upgrade of food consumption structure, and distribution of food industries.

Surface Morphology of Soil Cracks in Yuanmou Dry-hot Valley Region,Southwest china

Surface morphology of soil cracks is one of the important factors influencing the water evaporation rate in cracked soil in Yuanmou Dry-hot Valley Region,Southwest china. Quantitative study of the complicated surface morphology of soil cracks is a prerequisite for further studies of soil-cracking mechanisms. The present paper establishes a quantitative indicator system by application of concepts and methods originating from Fractal Geometry and Network Analysis. These indicators can effectively express the complicated features of soil-crack network structure. Furthermore,a series of values related to soil-crack morphology was obtained by image processing on field photos of soil-crack quads,and gradation criteria for the degree of development of soil cracks were determined. Finally,the changes in values of the morphological indicators under different degrees of development were analyzed in detail. Our results indicate that (1) the degree of development of soil cracks can be divided into five grades,i.e.,feeble development,slight development,medium development,intensive development and extremely intensive development; (2) the values of the indicators change predictably with increasing degree of development of soil cracks. The area density (Dc) increases,and both the area-weighted mean ratio of crack area to perimeter (AWMARP),which reflects the intensity of cracking,and the index r,which is related to the connectivity of a soil crack,grow uniformly (albeit with different forms). AWMRAP increases at a geometric rate while r shows logarithm-mic growth,indicating a gradual increase in theconnectivity of a soil crack. Nevertheless,the area-weighted mean of soil-crack fractal dimension (AWMFRAC) shows a decreasing trend,indicating a gradual decline in the complexity of cracks as area density increases.

Conventional soil nitrate and potassium detection methods are reliable,but time-consuming and *** lower-cost detection methods for soil nitrate and potassium are urgently needed. In this study,a temperature-calibrated soil nitrate and potassium rapid simultaneous detection system was developed based on two ion-selective electrodes (ISEs).At room temperature,the potentiometric experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of both ISEs and simple linear regression (SLR)was used for *** lower detection limits of both ISEs were 1×10mol/litre with regression coefficients of 0.994 and 0.997,respectively. Under different temperatures,the potentiometric experiments were conducted and multiple SLRs were used for temperature-calibrated modelling with a maximum relative error of c.6%and c. 10%,*** ISE signal acquisition system was developed based on a microprocessor,including an ISE signal conditioning unit and a temperature measurement unit using a thermal *** study might be suitable for in-field soil nitrate and potassium rapid detection application.

＜正＞Analysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms（SNPs） emerges as an important tool in evolutionary biology and *** we report the in silico discovery and analysis of SNPs across the whole genome of two protoplast monokaryons（TPMs） of basidiomycete fungi Lentinula edodes via the high-throughput sequencing *** our knowledge,this is a novel study in which different protoplast monokaryons are utilized for SNPs detection and *** sequence information including 210M and 250M nucleotide bases was generated from TPMs yielding approximately 80%of whole genome *** used surpassed 380K and 410K reads of TPMs for the de novo assembly of two contig sets with an overall estimated depth of 5.67-fold and 6.05-fold coverage,*** of the contigs between TPMs identified 108,235 putative SNPs owning a high probability of at least 10-fold *** SNPs reveal TPMs having similar intra-strain SNP frequencies,and the ratio of transition to transversion among these SNPs being similar to the ratio reported in other *** verify the confidence of detected SNPs,25,044 SNPs were mapped onto 43,912 positions that uniformly distributed over the sequenced chromosomes of Coprinopsis *** result shows high sequence conservation among closely related fungal *** addition,the gene structure of TPMs was constructed for SNPs classification according to their distribution in genome ***,this study indicates the utility of using next generation sequencing technologies to identify large numbers of reliable ***,the method combination of SNP detection and novel algorithm allows an efficient approach for the development of high-density genotyping platforms in fungal species.

In this paper the assessment of perceived speech quality under packet loss is *** packet loss would impair the perceived speech quality differently when lost packets are located in different segments in the speech signal,*** speech or silence segments,a new detection method is first proposed to accurately determine the active packets which are related to speech signals *** on the detection of active packets,the packet loss rate within speech segments can be determined,which is further incorporated in the E-model for speech quality *** efficiency and accuracy of the proposed detection method and the method for speech quality assessment have been verified by experimental *** evaluation shows that the proposed method based on the active packet detection outperforms the original the E-model by over 8% in accuracy of prediction of the subjective speech quality.

＜正＞Agricultural land use in suburban Beijing has changed dramatically in the last decade. This paper utilised unique,county-level spatial inventory datasets of land use in 1993 and 2004 to better quantify spatial configuration changes of main agricultural land-use types in the suburban counties of Beijing.A revised centroid model was applied to explicitly capture,analyse and visualise centroidal coordinates of land-use types in six typical suburban counties（samples） by geographic information system（GIS）.Obvious displacements of corresponding centroids of agricultural land-use types in the samples demonstrates that configurations of agricultural land use have been destroyed in different parts of suburban ***, some typical patterns are explored according to the direction of displacement,which is driven mainly by urbanisation,topography,economic development and land-use ***-use policies are shown to play more direct roles in spatial configuration changes of agricultural land use than other factors. It can be concluded that agricultural land-use configuration in suburban Beijing is affected by land resource balance among economic development, grain production and ecological protection.
